Sazuki is a young husky who is looking for her forever home! Born in January 2025, Sazuki came to Furkids last year with some medical issues after being hit by a car, but is all healed up and ready to meet her new family. Sazuki gets along with other dogs, especially more submissive dogs who can let her be the top dog. Due to her breed and young age, Sazuki will need an adopter who has experience with strong willed dogs - she’s not a beginner dog! She knows some commands, but if you know Huskies, you know they can be somewhat stubborn when they want to be. At the end of the day, Sazuki is an affectionate girl who has shown to form strong bonds with people she loves. Sazuki has done well with children in the past, but we don’t recommend her with very young children as she does have some resource guarding tendencies and puppy tendencies (mouthy play) she’s working through. Sazuki has a prey drive, so a home without small animals or cats is a must. Her foster says she gets along great with her older grandchildren, is housetrained, and crate trained with no destructive tendencies while crated. She says Sazuki MUST have an active home with a consistent routine and plenty of enrichment and exercise, with her people being home more often than not. Sazuki is used to long trail walks and loves any and all types of adventures. She is game for anything outside (sedentary homes without exercising her will not work). She would especially love a fenced-in yard so she can zoom around freely. Sazuki started out life without any stability and has some puppy energy and tendencies she’s still working through. With a patient and understanding person, she’ll be a great companion. We are seeking a home with someone with breed experience. A foster-to-adopt option is available for Sazuki, giving you the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Sazuki currently weighs about 49lbs., is approximately 1.5 years old (est. birth date 10/31/2024), and her adoption fee is $185. Sazuki has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
