You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Maxwell is the happiest Husky mix ever!  He is around 50lbs and we were told he is a pomsky from his owner.  He is housebroken, great on a leash, loves other dogs and all the people.  He is very smart and would be a great candidate for agility classes and would love a jogging partner.  He has energy to spare.  He needs a fenced in yard because he loves to run (min 4ft fence but 6 is preferred).  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.   His adoption fee is $500 To adopt Maxwell, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 3, 2026, 5:40 pm

She does have the husky energy level. Her favorite playmate is a 85lb male bully mix. She loves water and is the first to play hose tag with the kennel techs. She would be best with a family familiar with the husky breed. Her kisses sometimes turn to nibbles, but we are working on that. She is all ready to go to her forever home. She has not been around kids, so she needs some training. She will sit so pretty, but hasn't graduated to going on walks yet. She is super aware of her surroundings so anything different she has to get used to. She has made a lot of progress and we have faith she will make someone a great partner.

When it’s time to go potty, Maverick will politely let you know by sitting right by the door like the gentleman he is. He already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “stay,” and he’s both house- and crate-trained—talk about a star student! Vet visits? No problem at all for this wonderful doggy. Maverick is also great for baths and absolutely loves being brushed, soaking up all that extra attention. If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion with brains, beauty, and a big heart, Maverick is ready to be your new best friend! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended.
