Story
AVAI'm just a young girl with the most striking topaz eyes, and beautiful red coat. I prefer to be with women, because men can make me somewhat nervous. It may take me time to warm up to you, but once I do, I promise you will have a friend for life.I am currently working with a trainer to help build my confidence, and let my lovely personality shine. As for my heritage, well I'm part Husky, so I'll need a secure fenced yard and due to my shyness no children please.DOB 12/27/2020 46 poundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Story
Trip is waiting for an owner who is willing to enjoy his energy and provide outlets to exercise both his mind and body. He is somewhat insecure so an owner that is confident would be ideal for this adolescent. Trip loves life, and everything around him. He simply just needs to learn some boundaries when it comes to personal space, and expressing his enthusiasm. Remember he is still a puppy. Trip has a tremendous amount of potential to be a wonderful member of someone's family. He is also quite handsome. Trip is a mix of husky/shepherd and will need a fence.DOB 1/15/23 46 PoundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Story
Nala is just over 1 year old. She is very energetic and would thrive in an active home with lots of space and a yard. She knows no stranger and loves people! She does not do well with cats and would be best in a home with no small animals. She is house and crate trained. She is good with children. She loves attention so a family would be great. She is so smart and would benefit from lots of consistent and patient training. She is working on walking on a leash. She has many of her basic pet supplies including crate, food and toys. She is such a good puppy, she just is not doing well at all with my cat. Please ask any questions!

Story
Do you need a companion that loves to sing? Well then Maya might be the girl for you. This husky loves people and is not afraid to show you how much. She is a young girl and is full of energy. Did we mention how beautiful she is with her one blue eye and brown eye? Well she is gorgeous. Maya has all the husky traits, so a fenced yard is a must. At this time she hasn't met any children so we are unsure, though our best bet is older children. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello new friends! My name is Midnight. My human friends here at MHS tell me that I am a dream of a pup for anyone who loves training and wants to adopt one of the most intelligent dogs! And, once I know you, I am the happiest girl! Now, let's go back to talking about training...I am very treat-motivated and am so smart. So, I really think you could teach me anything and I'd succeed! I'm a cautious but sweet girl when I'm in a new environment, so please give me time to get to know you here at MHS and time to adjust once we become a family. I love to sniff out new places and things and I do gain confidence over time! And speaking of confidence, I also gain confidence in relationships! The more I know you, the more into the relationship I am. For example, as soon as I know we are good buds, I love affection and melt into it. Again, just be patient with me! I do come around and am awesome! A couple of visits before we adopt each other wouldn't be a bad thing! As far as other furry friends go, I've shown most interest in dog friends who are calm and polite. Young, energetic crazy pups are a bit too much for what I'm interested in! I'm more of a Zen type of girl. I'm not sure what I think about kitties but can let you know soon. Older kiddos would be best for me; about 9ish and up! A few of my fave activities are snuffling through a snufflemat, working through food puzzles, or anything that involves me using my nose and foraging! It's so fun! Toys are alright, but I am most motivated by food and affection. I know how to sit, stay, come, and shake paws. My leash-walking manners are pretty good, too! I am about 65-pounds, am about five years old, and I'm spayed. Remember! You can always call MHS at 219-872-4499 to schedule an appointment to see me or just stop on by! Love, Midnight.

Story
Hi there! I'm Sony and I am 2.5 years old! I am your typical husky in terms of personality where I am very friendly, intelligent and playful! I have a good nature to me, and I would make the most loyal companion! I crave attention, and I would love to spend lots of time with my adopted family! I am dog friendly, and I enjoy hanging around kids! I don't quite know my size, so I might need some help with not jumping on little ones or trying to be a lap dog. I am very treat and food motivated though, so I would be quick to learn some manners or new commands! I came into the shelter as a stray, so I can't wait to find my furever family! I am stressed out in the shelter environment, so I often spin in circles in my kennel. I have been here a long time and I'm not sure why! Some quick facts about me: Not Cat Friendly Dog FriendlyKid FriendlyEnergetic, intelligent guyWeight: 50 lbsIntake Date: 01/07/2024Reason: StrayGive the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Jasper has the husky attitude and must have an experienced owner. He is a very sweet dog once he warms up to you and trust you. Can not be with other animals or children. Can sit, lay down & shake. Leash trained. Loves the sun, treats, squeaky toys and stuffed animals. He will need an adopter that is willing to come meet him a few times to build a bond before adoption.
