My husband is a contractor and was working on a rental home in August of 2025. He heard a dog crying and noted that the renters had a puppy locked in a bathroom for two days with no food, no water, and no toys whatsoever. My husband felt so bad for the puppy and the conditions he was living in, that he offered the owner’s $50 for him. They gladly accepted and he has been with us since then. We named him Henry and had him neutered in January 2026. The vet says he is just shy of 1 year old. We have three cats and Henry cannot seem to leave them alone, chases them and tries to play with them but it creates tension in our small home. We honestly don’t have the time for Henry, regretfully.

Meet Butch!! Butch is almost 6 years old and a 58# Husky! He has one brown & one blue eye. Very handsome boy! Butch was adopted from FCAC about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately his owners life circumstances have changed and Butch was returned to us. He is a very sweet & gentle dog with adults. Butch is very polite and sits well when asked. Butch has a prey drive for birds, rabbits and squirrels. We recommend no small animals in his new home. Walks good on a leash and enjoys going on long walks! He likes outside time and will be a great addition for an active family! Butch goes to & from his kennel with no issues and is potty trained. We expect he will all do fine with other dogs and he does fine with older kids! (Babies and busy young kids make him uncomfortable.) ** Butch needs to be fed food without chicken or turkey in it! It upsets his stomach! PLEASE do your homework on owning a Husky!! They are not dogs for a novice owner!! Meet Atlas a 3 year old Shepherd husky mix. At 3 Atlas finds himself looking for the perfect home. Not a fan of most men or young children. Atlas would thrive in a home who gives him his space and has plenty of room for lots of outside time. Outside seems to be where Atlas thrives although he was an inside dog at one point before his last owner made him an outside dog. While a fenced in yard in never a requirement, we do believe it may be best for him (but not a deal breaker if you don't have one) Someone who can read Atlas's body language would be the best fit because Atlas does go stiff when he is done getting attention or needs more space. Atlas is a great dog who does love his walks and get more and more outgoing the more time you spend with him. Are you looking for a fun loving husky mix? At 1 yr old Niko is your guy. With a keep you laughing type of personality, this guy knows how to have a good time. Niko can be found sleeping in random positions in his kennel through out the day. Rolled on his back, feet up this guy shows that he can adapt to any environment and is pretty comfortable even in a stressful environment like a shelter. Coming in as a stray we cant figure out why this guy was never reclaimed. He loves to wrestle other dogs and would love to have a friend to chase around a back yard! Just make sure your dog has as much energy as Niko because this boy doesn't stop, in true husky fashion he has lots of energy! Niko will pull on his leash sometimes but is very easily corrected. He knows how to sit and if told to wait he will stay in this sit until released. Niko is worth your time to come spend time with!
