Story
Rogue is a very social and sweet 10yo Husky who LOVES affection and never meets a stranger. Been with us since she was a puppy. She needs a home with plenty of space to roam and another dog companion would be a big plus. She struggles with cage confinement anxiety, but due to a growing family and living in an apartment we’ve had to try and adjust her to staying in a crate when we’re gone and it’s created behavioral issues. She’s on vet prescribed trazodone to help her handle the stress of being crated. Without meds she will escape any and all crates even at the expense of injuring herself, that is why we pursued the medication. She is puppy pad trained also, but doesn’t always hit the pad which is why we had to switch to a crate since our carpet is the only place we have to put pads. She loves kids and other dogs but being at her age it’s getting harder for her to keep up. She LOVES naps and prefers to be a couch potato most of the time.

Story
This handsome 4-year-old Husky/Chow Chow mix is ready to find his furever home! Zeke was recently surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own—he just isn't a fan of small animals. Zeke can be in a home with other dogs but a meet and greet is mandatory as he is selective about his dog friends. Zeke also has some resource guarding issues when it comes to food which throws a curve ball in there if Zeke has a dog in the home with him or small children as they don't always realize not to mess with a dog who is eating. Zeke is calm and loving and just needs a home who is ready to give him all of the love and attention he deserves. This handsome man is potty trained and walks well on a leash. Come out and spend time with him and see if he could be the right fit for your home.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Meet Max a 7 year old senior who is still full of life. I love to be outside and soak up the sunshine. At 7 years old I prefer to relax most of the time but I still have the energy to take long walks and to roll in all the smells I find outside. My ideal home would have respectful children (I like kids but I probably don't want your toddler using me as a jungle gym) and a fenced in yard, while a fenced in yard is not mandatory it will make your life easier because I really love to be outside. If you are able to take me on walks and willing to spend lots of quality time with me I would be a good fit for you. I love to be brushed which is a good thing with all the hair I have! Even better take me outside and brush me, I will fall asleep. Come in a take me for and walk and grab that brush and we will quickly be best friends!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Meet Atlas a 3 year old Shepherd husky mix. At 3 Atlas finds himself looking for the perfect home. Not a fan of most men or young children. Atlas would thrive in a home who gives him his space and has plenty of room for lots of outside time. Outside seems to be where Atlas thrives although he was an inside dog at one point before his last owner made him an outside dog. While a fenced in yard in never a requirement, we do believe it may be best for him (but not a deal breaker if you don't have one) Someone who can read Atlas's body language would be the best fit because Atlas does go stiff when he is done getting attention or needs more space. Atlas is a great dog who does love his walks and get more and more outgoing the more time you spend with him. He is definitely going to make someone the perfect companion!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me!
