Story
Rogue is a very social and sweet 10yo Husky who LOVES affection and never meets a stranger. Been with us since she was a puppy. She needs a home with plenty of space to roam and another dog companion would be a big plus. She struggles with cage confinement anxiety, but due to a growing family and living in an apartment we’ve had to try and adjust her to staying in a crate when we’re gone and it’s created behavioral issues. She’s on vet prescribed trazodone to help her handle the stress of being crated. Without meds she will escape any and all crates even at the expense of injuring herself, that is why we pursued the medication. She is puppy pad trained also, but doesn’t always hit the pad which is why we had to switch to a crate since our carpet is the only place we have to put pads. She loves kids and other dogs but being at her age it’s getting harder for her to keep up. She LOVES naps and prefers to be a couch potato most of the time.

Story
Hi, I'm Max! 6½ Years Old | Husky Mix | 50 lbs Some dogs need a lot of work. Me? I'm just looking for someone to share life with. I'm a friendly, well-mannered guy who has all the basics down. I love people of all ages, have great house manners, and I'm the kind of dog who's just happy to be by your side. Whether we're heading out for a walk, spending the afternoon outside, or relaxing at home together, I'm all in. Don't let my age fool you either. I still enjoy getting out and exploring, but I've left all that wild puppy chaos behind. I think it's the best of both worlds! A few things about me: Friendly with people of all ages Potty trained and kennel trained Walks beautifully on a leash Playful without being over-the-top Treat motivated and eager to please Would love a family that enjoys walks, adventures, and spending time together When it comes to other dogs, I'm not the type to go looking for trouble. I calmly walk past barking dogs here at the shelter every day without paying them much attention. I simply prefer having my own space and would be happiest as your one and only pet. No cats for me, either! If you're looking for a loyal companion who's already got great manners, loves people, and is ready to settle into family life, I just might be your perfect match. Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme negative, current on vaccines, and on monthly prevention. My adoption fee is completely waived for approved adopters! I'll even come with a free bag of dog food and one year of Heartworm prevention.     Interested in meeting and possibly adopting? Please start by submitting an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. Please allow 24-36 hours If approved, we'll reach out to schedule a meet and greet! If you have other dogs, they'll need to come as well to ensure compatability. Some dogs may require all members of the household to come as well. If it’s a good fit, you may take your new best friend home that same day! We also offer a 2-week foster-to-adopt trial period to ensure it’s the right match for everyone!   Adoption Hours: Mon & Sat: 11 AM – 4 PM | Tue & Fri: 11 AM – 5 PM | Wed: 11 AM – 6 PM | Thur & Sun: CLOSED ##1727830##

Story
This handsome 4-year-old Husky/Chow Chow mix is ready to find his furever home! Zeke was recently surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own—he just isn't a fan of small animals. Zeke can be in a home with other dogs but a meet and greet is mandatory as he is selective about his dog friends. Zeke also has some resource guarding issues when it comes to food which throws a curve ball in there if Zeke has a dog in the home with him or small children as they don't always realize not to mess with a dog who is eating. Zeke is calm and loving and just needs a home who is ready to give him all of the love and attention he deserves. This handsome man is potty trained and walks well on a leash. Come out and spend time with him and see if he could be the right fit for your home.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Hi there! My name is Luna and I am 3 years old! I am the sweetest and most beautiful girl ever! I am a friendly, outgoing girl that loves my cuddles, and I enjoy chasing tennis balls but I'm not sure how to bring them back. I am here at the shelter with my sister, Blanca, and we are looking for our furever homes! However, we should not be adopted together because we have begun to exhibit littermate syndrome and we guard our food and toys from each other. I am friendly with other dogs and kids; however, if you are not familiar with resource guarding, I would not be a good fit for your home if you have small children or other dogs. I originally came from a Spanish speaking home, but I can learn commands in English too! While I may need a cat free home, I look forward to becoming your next best companion!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
