Fully sponsored adoption fee - $0 to adopt!💙Meet Denver💙Sweet Denver is back with us due to unforeseen circumstances, and this big snow-loving goofball is hoping his true forever family is out there. ❄️Denver is almost 3 years old, and he originally came to us in 2024. We learned pretty quickly that he prefers female canine companions only, and he’s a bit too energetic for kiddos under 5. After waiting 184 days, he finally found his perfect person… but tragically, his owner passed away. Denver tried living with the family, but with another dog in the home, it just wasn’t the right fit. He spent some time in a foster home and was returned. He was adopted out in May but recently returned to us in August. But here’s the part we really want you to know:Denver is one of the goofiest, sweetest, and most well-behaved dogs you’ll ever meet. He walks great on a leash, knows how to sit, and absolutely lights up when he sees snow. He’s smart, loyal, and happiest when he’s outside exploring or playing. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh every single day with his silly personality.Denver needs a home familiar with his breed and time to give him all the stimulation he needs to be a well-behaved dog. A home where he can be the center of attention, soak up love, and enjoy life with his person by his side. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy or a best friend who will keep you smiling, Denver might just be your guy. 🐾💛

Story
Rogue is a very social and sweet 10yo Husky who LOVES affection and never meets a stranger. Been with us since she was a puppy. She needs a home with plenty of space to roam and another dog companion would be a big plus. She struggles with cage confinement anxiety, but due to a growing family and living in an apartment we’ve had to try and adjust her to staying in a crate when we’re gone and it’s created behavioral issues. She’s on vet prescribed trazodone to help her handle the stress of being crated. Without meds she will escape any and all crates even at the expense of injuring herself, that is why we pursued the medication. She is puppy pad trained also, but doesn’t always hit the pad which is why we had to switch to a crate since our carpet is the only place we have to put pads. She loves kids and other dogs but being at her age it’s getting harder for her to keep up. She LOVES naps and prefers to be a couch potato most of the time.

Story
Meet our newest husky resident SARGE!! He knows sit, lay, speak and shake. Really big cuddle boy and plays well. Does great with female dogs. Lived with cats in both homes he had but he does chase them. He won't hurt them but he will give chase. Sarge is loving and walks well on a leash. He has yet to meet a stranger and would adjust to any active home. In true husky fashion Sarge is an escape artist and will need more than just a tie out to get his daily exercise needs. I can open sliding glass doors and have become a master at slipping my collar so a martingale collar would be recommended. I know I could be the perfect fit for most active families so come meet me if you are ready for an active fun loving dog!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
