Story
Hi, I'm Mojo and I'm a 2-year-old husky mix. I'm a happy boy who thrives on routine. I love my outside time and have enjoyed walks on the Winona trails and am very well behaved in the car. I would make a great running partner on the trails! If you have the energy, you can help tire me out by playing tug of war with me. I will even try to put the rope in your hands to get you to play. I don't mind a ball being thrown but I'm not going to bring it back to you. I love to love on my person and will lay right on top of you. As a long term resident, I'm patiently waiting for my perfect person to come along.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
This handsome 4-year-old Husky/Chow Chow mix is ready to find his furever home! Zeke was recently surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own—he just isn't a fan of small animals. But with people, he's a total sweetheart!Zeke is friendly, affectionate, and has a charming personality that will quickly win you over. He would thrive in a home with another dog, though he can be a bit selective with his canine companions—he knows what he likes! Zeke would also do well with children who understand how to respect his space, especially around mealtime, as he prefers not to share his food.If you're looking for a loyal, loving dog with a bit of a regal streak and a whole lot of heart, Zeke might be your perfect match. Come meet this fluffy boy and see if he's the missing piece in your family!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Meet Atlas a 3 year old Shepherd husky mix. At 3 Atlas finds himself looking for the perfect home. Not a fan of most men or young children. Atlas would thrive in a home who gives him his space and has plenty of room for lots of outside time. Outside seems to be where Atlas thrives although he was an inside dog at one point before his last owner made him an outside dog. While a fenced in yard in never a requirement, we do believe it may be best for him (but not a deal breaker if you don't have one) Someone who can read Atlas's body language would be the best fit because Atlas does go stiff when he is done getting attention or needs more space. Atlas is a great dog who does love his walks and get more and more outgoing the more time you spend with him. He is definitely going to make someone the perfect companion!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Are you looking for a fun loving husky mix? At 1 yr old Niko is your guy. With a keep you laughing type of personality, this guy knows how to have a good time. Niko can be found sleeping in random positions in his kennel through out the day. Rolled on his back, feet up this guy shows that he can adapt to any environment and is pretty comfortable even in a stressful environment like a shelter. Coming in as a stray we cant figure out why this guy was never reclaimed. He loves to wrestle other dogs and would love to have a friend to chase around a back yard! Just make sure your dog has as much energy as Niko because this boy doesn't stop, in true husky fashion he has lots of energy! Niko will pull on his leash sometimes but is very easily corrected. He knows how to sit and if told to wait he will stay in this sit until released. Niko is worth your time to come spend time with! This fun loving dog will love to have a family to go on adventures with during the day and chill on the couch with at night!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Meet Rio!Age: 9 yearsBreed: HuskyWeight: 49 lbs.Status: Heartworm-free and ready for a forever home!Rio came to us as a stray, underweight and heartworm positive — but look at him now! After completing his heartworm treatment and packing on some healthy pounds, this handsome guy is looking and feeling so much better. He still has a sensitive tummy, so he’ll need to stay on his special i/d diet to keep him feeling his best.Rio is a gentle, laid-back soul who enjoys the company of other calm dogs. He’s not a fan of cats (he thinks they’re fun to chase!), so a feline-free home would be best for him. He absolutely loves going on walks and hikes and would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys the outdoors but doesn’t need a high-energy dog.I would do best in a home with older kids. The younger kids make me nervous. If you`re looking for a loyal, mellow buddy who’s been through a lot and is ready to enjoy the good life, Rio might just be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet guy and see for yourself why we all adore him!

Story
Jackson is in need of a good home due to our family growing and living in town. I will be physically unable to care for him during my surgery recovery and beyond. He is playful, loves to be around his family, and has never ever had an issue with any of our 4 small children. We adopted him when he was 1 and our youngest child was 6 months old. I believe he'd do well with other dogs, once he gets over his husky timidity. He is not an alpha dog, as he usually shows submissive tendencies. He is very smart and knows a lot of different commands. He has never tried, nor taken, the chance to escape. We keep him on our line when he is out in the backyard because we do not have a high fence and don't want to take any chances. Loves walks and running at the dog park. Rehoming fee includes food, water bowls, a small crate, toys, leash, and a brand new flea collar.
