Story
Grayson is a sweet older boy who has the hardware of a dog but the software of a cat. He likes to nap most of the day away, isn’t very energetic, but loves his walks where he can leisurely sniff everything he sees. He is not much of a cuddler, but wants to be near his human at all times. He is very quiet, doesn’t “talk” much, and only howls when he is left alone. He is crate trained but prefers to have free rein of the house. He grew up with another dog and a tuxedo cat with whom he would play daily, but sadly our other dog passed away and his tuxedo friend went with mom in the divorce. He is sad with just me in my tiny apartment and has decided he doesn’t much care for young children, of which I have. He would be happiest in a home with an adult or two who is looking for a quiet companion with whom to laze away the days.

Story
Name: Nami Female Approx DOB: 4/15/2025 Siberian Husky About: Nami is a purebred Husky with two blue eyes. She is very playful. She is crate trained for night sleep and is still working on potty training. She knows commands in Spanish and can sit and shake hands. She is timid and nervous around her current foster dog sister but they have had issues with not getting along (the current dog in the home does not like Nami). Nami loves to play through the fence with the back fence line neighbor dogs, though. She likes to chase cats but is more playful with them than aggressive. She can play a bit roughly with younger children so we think older kids would be best. She's not aggressive, just gets very excited. She can walk on a leash but is still learning leash manners and likes to jump on her hind legs in excitement until she burns off some energy. Background: She was originally obtained by a person who does roofing but he travels long distances for work and ended up moving. She is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, heartworm negative and will be microchipped upon adoption. If you are interested in adopting Nami, you can fill out an application at figandfriendspetrescue.org/adopt

Story
Kavik is named after the Kavik River in Alaska. We would love to see him in a good home that can handle his high energy. Preferably with other dogs.He currently lives with 2 cats, who are not interested in playing with him.He attends daycare 3 days a week and has good reports from them.Positive note:He never barks while he is in the backyard. Which is great when hanging outside with friends and neighbors. But if he sees a dog through the living room window, he lets them know he’s there;)

Story
A is for all the affection I have to give V is for my vivacious nature E is for easing into new friendships R is for my refreshing outlook on life I is for the incredible adventures we will have together E is for my enthusiasm in everything I do! I hear people-pleasing is supposed to be exhausting....but not for me! Being the young little lady that I am, my potential is as high as your dedication! It is very satisfying to utilize this beautiful brain I have, to make my friends (and my future family) happy. I won't lie to you; I am still growing out of some "puppy habits" (mouthing when I am overly excited) but rest assured, positive redirection and consistency will make for a quick remedy. Because I am still learning my size and appropriate play behavior, I might be best suited for older children that have a sturdy stance. Who needs a television when you could have me to keep you entertained! My enthusiasm is expressed in such a dorky way. I like to zoom around and try my best to impersonate a professional contortionist by folding over like a pretzel with my behind in the air! I am really excited to play with other dogs too, its a great way to let my antics out before we hunker down in bed for the night. Don't wait too long, if you like it....then you should put a collar on it. Take the first steps by submitting your adoption application to the website below! DOB: 2/12/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Pepper

Akita Mixed Breed (Large)

Male, 3 yrs 5 mos
Walker, MI
Size
(when grown) -
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Pepper is a 3-year-old brown and white boy who likes to take in the world at his own pace. He’s an alert pup who notices everything around him, but once he feels comfortable, his social and friendly side really starts to shine. In new places or with unfamiliar people, Pepper may let you know how he feels with some barking. Give him a little time and patience, though, and you’ll see him settle in and start building trust. Because of this, he would do best with polite, respectful adults who understand his need for a slower introduction. Pepper hasn’t had experience living with other animals and is looking for a home where he can be the one and only pet. He’ll thrive in a calm, relaxing environment where he can feel safe, secure, and truly at ease. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to warm up, Pepper might be your perfect match.
