Harley and Joker are adult siberian huskies. They were dumped in a neighborhood in Atlanta Ga and a previous adopter picked them up.  She can NOT keep them. They are going out of the country in 7 days and she does NOT want to take them to a high kill shelter. They are beyond capacity and these two will be euthanized on intake.  They will be vaccinated dewormed and heartworm tested.  There is no fee for adoption. Looking for someone to take one or both of them. They are both super friendly and get along well with children. They will only be available until Oct 4 . They will go to the county shelter on the 5th. Please open your heart and home to a dog in danger.   Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Handsome Beck is a medium sized Husky mix from GA. He is about 18 months old and weighs 46 pounds. He has a lot of energy so an active family would be the best fit. Beck loves other dogs and humans, and he has done ok with cats so far. He will make a great addition to a family looking for a young, playful dog!  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. Hi!  My name is Sky!  Im a 1.5 year old Alaskan Malamute.  People say I'm active and a total sweetheart!  I love humans and would do anything to make them have a good time.  I am ok in my crate and can do walk very well with a lead leash.  I am housebroken.  I love to play w toys, but they have to be made for my breed.  (Strong) I have to say NO To Cats.  They are so interesting to me.  I chase them like I do squirrels. Apparently they are not ok w it and keep telling my humans.  So...pls no cats. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier.  I've had all my required shots, have a microchip & neutered.  I'm ready to meet you.   Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. Oreo Cookie is a delightful 6 month old female Husky mix that weighs 32 pounds and destined to be a 40 pound adult girl.  She was an owner surrender because the family was unable to take care of her and she is now sitting in a shelter who is working hard with Critter Cavalry Rescue to find her a wonderful home.  Oreo is a great leash walker and she is so smart and quick to learn commands.  She loves to play with the other pups in the play yard at the shelter and she has demonstrated how much she loves having a yard to play in.  She would welcome anyone that exercises with her or has children to play with her.  Even another dog would be a welcome friend who would enjoy Oreo Cookie.   We see her thriving in a home where she would get interaction and lots of training time with her owners. She would be a great walking, hiking  or jogging partner to active person or couple.  Oreo Cookie is always happy, always wagging her tail and always smiling.
