Story
Meet Juneau, a 1 year old female Husky that is a very sweet girl who promises to be a lot of fun to raise. This girl is a very good with bigger dogs that are 35 pounds and above.  She is a 50 pound girl herself that has the typical Husky prey drive and so we will not adopt her to anyone with small dogs, cats or chickens. Juneau prefers to have a friend a little bigger than her to play with. She currently plays in the backyard with a German Shepard and has a grand time.  She is crate trained and loves to sleep in there at night to stay cozy. She was in the house as a puppy and was housebroken at the time, however she has been outside the last 4 months due to her inability to live with the cats inside the house.  She might need some brushing up on the housebreaking once she is in a home again.  This girl is a beautiful dog with a heart of gold….just not a heart for small creatures.  If you are interested please write to us at Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 5, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.GIA was born at the Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine, the night after we brought her mom, a pure bred German Shepherd Dog into our care. She was born on 21st September 2024 and has lived with her siblings, her mom and a few other teenage German Shepherd Dogs.   We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. GIA was spayed on 25 September, she is current on her vaccinations, although she will require her rabies as she is currently too young for that vaccine. She is microchipped and at the time of her spay surgery weighed 11.20 pounds. We do not know what breed she is mixed with, but can confidently say her mother is a German Shepherd Dog - RHEA and can be seen in the photos. Gia is a young pup and so her personality is in the early stages of development and so it will be the family and home environment that dictates how she behaves as she grows up. There is no reason for her to not be great around children of any ages, unless of course the child/ren make her fearful or hurt her. We do not have any age restrictions for families with children, but do expect responsible families in regards to both children and the pup and have 100% supervision when they are together. Gia will need a family that has the time and means to care for a pup, which includes training, socialization and explosing her to as many environments as possible, but in a way that she is comfortable, safe and happy. She is going to be a medium/large dog and so an active lifestyle is important as well as a family understanding the mental needs and intelligence of this kind of dog. We are looking for a family that understands she will be teething, she will be going through her "teenage" phase and will be a lot of work. Gia has an adoption fee of $550 Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Story
My name is Tanya, better known as Mama Tanya. I have lived my life in a loving but very marginal existence in a poor County of Tennessee. I have lived my life having litters of puppies that were all beautiful and I loved each and everyone. I have always been chained up because there was never a fence and the conditions of the trailer that we were living in created concern from the local authorities. Soon they were knocking on the door of my owner and removing dogs and also cats. Myself and two of my daughters who are year old were removed by Critter Cavalry Rescue and all I can say is that I am grateful. I have now been spayed and dewormed and given several baths and grooming. I feel so much better. I am a beautiful girl inside and out with one blue eye and one brown eye. I'm a three-year-old husky that weighs 80 to pounds. I could probably lose a few pounds now that I'm in foster care and I'm being exercised and not chained up. I have more freedom to move about and to exercise and of course be free of the chain. I love everybody and I love other dogs and of course cats since there were so many that lived around me. It is rare that a husky loves cats but I'm very good with him. I'm shy at first because I haven't really been out in the world very much. Haven't gotten to meet a lot of new people but I'm doing that right now and I'm getting to like being a little more of a social butterfly. I'm cuddly I loved it lay on the sofa and be told that I'm special I love blankets and pillows for comfort I just really want to be someone's very special girl and my foster mom has been so kind to me I love to go for walks on the leash where I sniffed and taken all my noose surroundings I kind of prance which makes my foster mom laugh I do feel light and airy and beautiful now that I've had a bath and been brushed and I'm in a clean environment to live. I am curious about new people and I will let them approach and pet me. I'm housebroken and I will get into a crate if I'm coaxed gently. I sleep out on the sofa at night and I'm so very good. I never mess up the house or destroy a thing. My foster mom thinks that I am a beautiful girl and especially a beautiful spirit. If you are interested in making me your very own please please contact Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Mention to them where you live, city and state. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 27, 2024, 10:18 pm

Story
You know every rescue dog has a pretty significant story that all of us cry over and fight  to help make their life better. This young girl Katya grew up on a pretty despairing property that was full of unaltered cats and dogs and not enough food and sometimes no water and often there was not adequate shelter from all the rain and elements of weather. None of the people around her could take care of all the animals. She was tied out and it broke our heart to go on the property and see the condition shevand others were raised in. Katya has risen above all of that as a one-year-old Husky that weighs 60 lbs. and she is a pure love.   A happy girl with a little bit of shyness because she's never gotten out into the world to experience new things. When we picked her up from the property and took her off that chain we knew she would be smiling very soon. She is always so overjoyed when you cuddle with her and play. She is a mellow Husky with medium energy that is easy to entertain and deal with.  She's lived amongst many cats all her life,  so that typical Husky caution of ' no cats allowed',  doesn't apply to her. She loves children, loves other dogs and she enjoys meeting adults with just a tad shyness and time to warm up to them. We want someone to spoil her rotten. We want someone that will let her sit on their lap and pretend that she's a Chihuahua like she thinks she is in size. She has  an innocence that makes you just want to hug and protect her. She makes you want to give her a better life and future.  If you've got a fenced yard, a Husky loving home, and some time, we want to hear from you. Maybe even just living in an apartment with a dog park could be the much better life that she's looking for. It would be such a better life than what she's had. Let's all come together and find Katya the best new life ever.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 21, 2024, 12:02 pm
