Story
Introducing Wheeler – the boy who steals hearts everywhere he goes! This 1 year old, 40-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix is as smart as he is handsome. Wheeler has already mastered sit and shake with both paws and became fully housebroken in just one week with his foster family. He’s crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash, and eager to soak up everything that’s taught to him.  This boy with the amazing smile and wonderful ears knows how to steal hearts.  Wheeler is a social butterfly who loves everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he’s convinced the cats in his foster home need constant “baths,” which he happily provides with endless affection. He also enjoys curling up in a lap, whether it belongs to a person or another pup. This sweet boy needs company in his life.   Another companion dog would make him happy and feel secure along with a family that has someone home alot. This all is due to the hard past that started when Wheeler was a puppy. He and his brother were abandoned, and he was found underweight and limping from what turned out to be an old hip injury—likely caused by a car or a blow to his leg.  It was fractured but never set to heal correctly by a vet.  It healed on its own and doesnt bother him, but he’ll always have a slight limp.  Dont feel sorry about that because it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He runs and plays like nothing ever happened, a joyful reminder of his resilient spirit. He needs a fenced yard so he can get all his energy out daily. What makes this particular boy so special isn’t just his good looks or intelligence—it’s his kind heart. He’s grateful for every bit of love and safety he’s found in rescue, and he’s ready to give that love right back to the family lucky enough to call him their own.  If Wheeler sounds like the perfect match for your family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com. This incredible boy is waiting to meet his forever people, and we know you’ll be smitten from the very first hello. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 9, 2026, 11:29 am

Story
Meet Kiva- A 1-year-old German Shepherd with a lot of potential and an eager-to-learn attitude. She may still be young, but she's already been working on her training and knows several basic commands, including sit, come, wait, lay down, and off. She's a smart girl who enjoys learning and would do great with continued training and structure. Kiva has lived with people of all ages and does well around them. She has also lived with other dogs and enjoyed their company, but she has not lived with or been around cats, so a cat-free home would be best for her at this time. When it comes to playtime and relaxation, Kiva knows how to enjoy both. Her favorite way to relax is spending time in a sunny mudroom with all of her toys surrounding her. When she's feeling energetic, she loves running around the yard for hours until she happily tires herself out. She is crate trained and does well with having her own space.Kiva is also a big fan of chewing and especially loves bully sticks and chew toys, which help keep her busy and content. With the right home that can continue her training and give her plenty of exercise and love, Kiva will make a loyal, fun, and devoted companion. Does Kiva sound like the match for you? Stop by the Adoption Center during open hours 11am-4pm Thursday-Tuesday (closed Wednesdays). Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 23.1 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Ghost is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves cuddles, playtime, and outdoor adventures. She has a calm and friendly demeanor, and she gets along well with everyone she meets. Ghost can come off as shy or a little scared, especially in new environments. When she feels overwhelmed, she tends to retreat to her kennel or her bed where she can relax and feel safe. Ghost can get along with any human or animals, she really just wants to pet! As soon as you give her attention and pets she’ll nudge your arm or hand to give her more!

Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 20, 2026, 9:56 pm

Meet Vogue: Handsome, Smart, and Ready to Shine! Meet Vogue, a stunning 1-year-old male Husky/Shepherd mix with movie-star looks and a personality to match! With one blue eye and one brown eye, Vogue knows he’s handsome—and he absolutely loves being told so. Vogue is friendly, affectionate, and confident. He loves being close to his people and sometimes gets so excited that he jumps—mostly because he wants to be held, hugged, and showered with attention. The good news? When told “no jumping,” Vogue happily rolls right onto his back for belly rubs instead. He truly just wants to be as close as possible. He’s very smart, enjoys being handled, and is both food- and toy-motivated, making him a rockstar in training. Vogue does an excellent job focusing on whoever has the leash (and the treats!), walks well on leash, and has all the potential to excel with continued structure and enrichment. Vogue does great with other dogs and was wonderful with kids at an adoption event—handing out kisses and soaking up all the love. He’s energetic, fun-loving, and eager to please, making him a great fit for an active home ready to include him in daily adventures. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, intelligent companion who wants nothing more than to be near you (preferably getting belly rubs), Vogue is ready to steal your heart.
