Barbie is a husky, border collie with a bit of whippet thrown in too! She is happy, sweet and super smart, very obedient. She will match your energy and snuggle on the couch or go for a hike. She’s crate trained and likes her crate, and loves to follow you around to see what you’re up to! Her energy is about 4/10 but she can come up to about a 6 if you want to! She’s been very well socialized with other dogs.

Story
Please come meet Frank & Nova! This "opposites attract" duo is ready to find a nice, quiet, comfy home they can share and relax in. Frank is a laid back love bug while Nova is energetic and sassy! You get the best of both worlds with this pair. They are each others security blankets, so we would really like them to stay together. They love to play with each other. They both enjoy walks and walk well on leash. While Nova can have dog friends, Frank prefers only Nova as his friend. They would need a home without any cats but both would be fine with kids.

Story
Kirby is an almost 3-year-old female with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit. She was rescued from an abusive situation in Texas and brought to New England for a fresh start. Because of her past, she can be skittish at first and needs time to feel safe. Kirby would thrive in a home with a confident, playful dog who enjoys wrestling and can help her feel secure. She truly needs a canine companion. We previously rehomed her best friend, who was very high-energy, and while our whippet is kind, he doesn’t engage with her much—so she’s been feeling lonely. She would do best in a home without small children, as sudden movements can frighten her. Kirby absolutely loves being outdoors and is unfazed by snow or rain—she’s happiest when she’s outside exploring. With patience, understanding, and the right furry friend, Kirby has so much love and loyalty to give.

Story
Introducing Wheeler – the boy who steals hearts everywhere he goes! This 1 year old, 40-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix is as smart as he is handsome. Wheeler has already mastered sit and shake with both paws and became fully housebroken in just one week with his foster family. He’s crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash, and eager to soak up everything that’s taught to him.  This boy with the amazing smile and wonderful ears knows how to steal hearts.  Wheeler is a social butterfly who loves everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he’s convinced the cats in his foster home need constant “baths,” which he happily provides with endless affection. He also enjoys curling up in a lap, whether it belongs to a person or another pup. This sweet boy needs company in his life.   Another companion dog would make him happy and feel secure along with a family that has someone home alot. This all is due to the hard past that started when Wheeler was a puppy. He and his brother were abandoned, and he was found underweight and limping from what turned out to be an old hip injury—likely caused by a car or a blow to his leg.  It was fractured but never set to heal correctly by a vet.  It healed on its own and doesnt bother him, but he’ll always have a slight limp.  Dont feel sorry about that because it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He runs and plays like nothing ever happened, a joyful reminder of his resilient spirit. He needs a fenced yard so he can get all his energy out daily. What makes this particular boy so special isn’t just his good looks or intelligence—it’s his kind heart. He’s grateful for every bit of love and safety he’s found in rescue, and he’s ready to give that love right back to the family lucky enough to call him their own.  If Wheeler sounds like the perfect match for your family, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com. This incredible boy is waiting to meet his forever people, and we know you’ll be smitten from the very first hello. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2026, 10:32 pm

Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 20, 2026, 9:56 pm
