Jasper is a stunning, 40 pound one-year-old Husky mix with gorgeous blue eyes. He’s a very sweet and personable pup, but needs some basic skills training to help him become the best boy he can be. He is athletic and energetic, and would make a great hiking or running companion. He loves to play, but settles down easily when given attention and affection. He seems to like most other dogs. His feelings about cats are unknown. He is currently at the Shelter and will be neutered prior to adoption.   Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. Princess is kind of a misleading name for me.... Cause I am a QUEEN!! I love all my "subjects" four legged and two legged :) i came from the pound, where I was kind of like a Cinderella princess..... I looked very "ruff".... my eyes were dull and scared and my fur was not white or floofy, like it is now! And boy was I SKINNY :( But NOT ANYMORE!! I am now the Princess I was meant to be! I have a glowing white floofy coat, I have the confidence and love to give out and receive... AND I am ready for you and your family to love FuREVER!! I will give you and your family so much love and fun for life! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Helene means “shining light”. Helene, as adult husky/shepherd mix exemplifies this with humor & intelligence shining in her 2 different colored eyes. Helene loves to play with toys and other dogs. She will lick & nuzzle with stationary cats, but will chase them if they run. She is a wonderful cuddler, smiles a lot, & is oh, so happy. The more comfortable she is in her home, the more frequently the husky “talk” comes out! 😂 - Especially if it is smack talk disagreeing with not getting an additional treat. Helene would be great as a solo dog or as a companion dog to an existing “pack.” Can she be part of your family? So, does being a nice family count for anything anymore?? 🤔 We are such a sweet group, however the old story applies...we were born in a place that didn't spay our mama and then once we were born, they couldn't afford us, either... So the rescue stepped up to help us and here we are! Fully vetted, no baby making for us ;) just fun fun FUN!! And we were born for fun! We are smart. Playful, super cute and just the right size for adventures! We will be waiting for you to find us!!
