Story
Koda is a 5-year-old, 46lb Siberian Husky. Calling all Siberian Husky lovers! Meet Koda, a loving boy who is on the calmer side for a Siberian Husky. While Huskies do require a fence, this guy doesn't make any effort to jump over the 6-foot fence at his foster's house. He is house broken, crate trained, and really just wants to be with his person. Koda would need a house with no small dogs or cats but gets along well with bigger dogs. He is fully vetted and ready to find someone who can give him the love he needs! If you are interested in adopting Koda, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!October 23, 2024, 3:16 pm

Story
Skylar is a 2-year-old, 50lb brown Husky mix. Couldn't you just fall in love with those blue husky eyes? The eyes lure you in, but Skylar's sweetness makes you stay! She is a smart girl who already knows some commands and loves to play. Skylar does great with dogs her own size but isn't a fan of smaller dogs who are aggressive or dominating. Due to her size and energy, Skylar will need to be in a home with a fenced in yard. She is completely housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. Skylar also does great on a leash, but sometimes can pull if she gets excited. Since she's a strong girl, she'll need to be in a husky experienced household. If Skylar is the blue eyed beauty you've been looking for, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Kino is not your boxed wine kinda guy. Anyone can be shopping for taco ingredients, bread, orange juice, and coffee when they happen to stumble into the beer and wine aisle of the grocery store, and think 'hey, this looks like a good deal.' It takes someone with an understanding of wine to choose just the right bottle for the occasion. Kino, much like a good vino, is a dog that needs to be appreciated by someone who understands the many layers and complexities of the Husky breed. They are generally very friendly. They love to hold conversations and discuss important topics like 'who's a good boy?' and 'are you a good boy?' They are extremely smart which leads them to do extremely stupid things. 'Hold my chew toy and watch this.' They are very assertive dogs who will NOT be ignored... even when they're pretending you can't see them doing something naughty. They need exercise, physical and mental. A daily walk and something that exercises their mind is key to keeping them from being bored. If you're up for owning a dog who needs a constant reminder that they don't own you, Kino just might be your guy. Kino is good with other dogs who aren't dominant or ill tempered. He gets too excited around kids and lots of commotion and would do best in a mature, adult only home with someone who can maintain his training. Kino received training from Jeff Coltenback and comes with lifetime support from him. Kino (in typical Husky fashion) likes to explore the world and make demands with his mouth. His training focused on teaching him what's appropriate and what isn't. Keeping up with this is important to keep him out of trouble. Kino's absolute favorite thing is being petted. He will insist you keep going when you stop, and resort to lots of licking and kissing until you start petting him again. His second favorite thing is treats. Kino is appx 7-9 years old. He's crate trained, house trained once he gets used to a schedule, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet sweet Tatum, she came from Lenoir County where she was extremely neglected and abused.  When she was found she was suffering from heat stroke. She will need a family with husky experience,  time and patience to help her become the dog she deserves to be.  Tatum has the added benefit of several weeks of training by Jeff Coltenback and he says shes a sweet girl! Here's what Jeff has to say about her: Tatum has a good obedience foundation. She currently is not in training so she's a little rusty. She is crate trained and appears to be housetrained. She ignores his chickens but she has not been tested with cats. She is dog friendly but prefers male dogs. She has 'a joyful energy' that will brighten your day. She is very sweet and affectionate and loves hikes and walks. She LOVES to chew toys and is relatively quiet for a husky (not silent though)! She is good for her ear cleanings and her grooming.  Please consider giving this girl a forever home! She is sure to brighten your day! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, I'm Aria! I'm 3 years old and a husky! I'm good with dogs, and great with kids. I am completly housetrained and up-to-date!  I looked a little rough when I was picked up but not I look great! I love playing with my doggie friends and would love a home with other easy-going dogs. My perfect family would be patient with me while I settle in. I'm highly food motivated and take medication easily as long as it's hidden in food. Food is the best way to win me over if you were wondering! I love my crate because it makes me feel safe. I need a tall (6ft), fenced yard with a secure border because, well, I'm a husky after all! I just can't but see whats on the other side! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 10:02 pm
