Story
Koda is a 5-year-old, 46lb Siberian Husky. Calling all Siberian Husky lovers! Meet Koda, a loving boy who is on the calmer side for a Siberian Husky. While Huskies do require a fence, this guy doesn't make any effort to jump over the 6-foot fence at his foster's house. He is house broken, crate trained, and really just wants to be with his person. Koda would need a house with no small dogs or cats but gets along well with bigger dogs. He is fully vetted and ready to find someone who can give him the love he needs! If you are interested in adopting Koda, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!July 13, 2024, 3:21 pm

Story
Greetings! I am the current owner of Elsie. She’s one of the sweetest and affectionate dogs I’ve ever met. She’s very playful and listens well when indoors. She’s very excited and loves to be outside. This dog is gentle and full of love for whoever might take care of her. I can no longer take care of her because I live alone and she’s not well suited for the my apartment life/living arrangement. When my schedule is busy she doesn’t do well when I’m not around. Elsie needs a real house with a family, lots of interaction to keep her engaged. She would love to have a fence and or yard. To who ever may adopt: I currently have a leash, collar, crate, treats, and a few toys that would be completely free alongside adopting Elsie. Every item listed above is brand new. I love this dog but my home is not right for her personality and if there’s anything I can do to make this transition easier for her I will.

Story
I got diamond when she was 8 weeks from Houston, when I lived in Maryland. Her birthday is 8/4/2020. We moved to west palm beach in 2021 and then relocated to NC earlier this year. The plan was for her to go to MD with my ex in June, before i relocated but he fell through 3 days before the drop off. Im unable to keep her due to my housing and work schedule. She is such a sweet girl. She loves to play, belly rubs and to go on walks. She can be shy but once she warms up, she’ll be your best friend with a little sass. She needs a loving home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Kino is not your boxed wine kinda guy. Anyone can be shopping for taco ingredients, bread, orange juice, and coffee when they happen to stumble into the beer and wine aisle of the grocery store, and think "hey, this looks like a good deal." It takes someone with an understanding of wine to choose just the right bottle for the occasion. Kino, much like a good vino, is a dog that needs to be appreciated by someone who understands the many layers and complexities of the Husky breed. They are generally very friendly. They love to hold conversations and discuss important topics like "who's a good boy?" and "are you a good boy?" They are extremely smart which leads them to do extremely stupid things. "Hold my chew toy and watch this." They are very assertive dogs who will NOT be ignored... even when they're pretending you can't see them doing something naughty. They need exercise, physical and mental. A daily walk and something that exercises their mind is key to keeping them from being bored. If you're up for owning a dog who needs a constant reminder that they don't own you, Kino just might be your guy. Kino is good with other dogs who aren't dominant or ill tempered. He gets too excited around kids and lots of commotion and would do best in a mature, adult only home with someone who can maintain his training. Kino received training from Jeff Coltenback and comes with lifetime support from him. Kino (in typical Husky fashion) likes to explore the world and make demands with his mouth. His training focused on teaching him what's appropriate and what isn't. Keeping up with this is important to keep him out of trouble. Kino's absolute favorite thing is being petted. He will insist you keep going when you stop, and resort to lots of licking and kissing until you start petting him again. His second favorite thing is treats. Kino is appx 7-9 years old. He's crate trained, house trained once he gets used to a schedule, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
