You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lola requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet her.   The link to our application is... https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC FOSTER COMMENTS:      Hi there! I'm Lola, your 60 pound bundle of husky happiness!  I am a grown-up girl who is 4 years old.  I'm a total sweetheart with a playful personality, and I've never met a human (old or young) thatI didn't instantly adore! I'm a gentle girl, always up for cuddles, head scratches, and maybe even a few stolen kisses. I am way too interested in cats.  So I need to find a home without kitties so I can be on my best behavior.   Outdoors, I'm a zoomie champion! I love to run and play, especially with my foster sibling. But don't worry, once we're back inside, I transform into the perfect houseguest. I'll curl up and chill out until it's time for another adventure.   I would love a fenced yard and a furry male playmate in my forever home. I am a social girl who will do best in a home with a male dog. But, if you are up to playing and walking with me, that will work too.  I need my exercise to get my wiggles out!  I'm already a leash-walking pro and can't wait to explore the neighborhood with my new family.  I'm a quiet around the house except when I get excited.  My foster mom is working with me, I am a quick learner,  to not bark when I'm excited!  I am not a fan of the crate but I don’t need a crate because I have great house manners.  My foster mom works from home so I sit quietly while she does her work.  I have been left along 4-6 hours with no problems.  I am potty trained with no accidents in the house,  crate-free, and I promise not to chew your shoes.  If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and sweet companion who's always up for fun, I might just be the girl for you! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.     Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING  LOLA? Meet Rebel – Your Loyal, Laid-Back Shadow with a Watchful Heart Quick Facts: Breed: Husky Mix Age: 7 years Weight: 65 lbs House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes – but doesn’t need to be crated when left alone Good with Dogs: Yes – with slow, proper introductions Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: No Energy Level: Low – calm, observant, and prefers relaxed company Fence Required: Not needed Special Traits: Prefers men, slow to trust but deeply loyal once bonded Why You’ll Love Rebel: Calm, quiet, and easygoing with a gentle energy Housebroken, crate trained, and can be left alone without worry Great leash manners – enjoys leisurely walks Watchful and intelligent – prefers calm observation before jumping into action Lovable and affectionate once he trusts you Perfect for a quiet, steady home with a strong, confident leader About Rebel’s Breed Mix: As a Husky mix, Rebel brings together the independence and intellect of a working dog with a calm, contemplative nature. Huskies are known for their loyalty, and Rebel embodies this deeply—once he chooses his person, his devotion runs strong. He’s not your high-energy, vocal husky stereotype; instead, he leans toward a peaceful, contented presence. Rebel’s Story & Personality: Rebel is a true gentleman who appreciates the quiet things in life. He’s the kind of dog who prefers to stand back and watch the world before deciding how (or if) he wants to join in. He’s low energy and prefers slow-paced walks, rolling in the grass, or simply soaking up the sun. He doesn’t go for rambunctious play or chaos—he’s more “stop and smell the flowers” than “fetch and frisbee.” He bonds best with men and may take longer to trust women, but with patience, he warms up. Rebel is good with other dogs after a proper introduction, especially those of similar size and calm temperament. He’s not a fan of small, frantic pups and does not tolerate overly excitable behavior. Rebel will guard his person by warning others (people and pets) with a low growl—this is his way of saying “I need space.” With gentle correction and strong leadership, he respects boundaries and responds well. He’s housebroken, does fine being left alone, and is crate trained, but rarely needs it. Rebel’s Ideal Home: A calm, quiet home without kids A male adopter who can offer confident, gentle leadership A household with no pets or one calm dog of similar size Someone patient, steady, and respectful of his need for space and trust-building No fence needed—Rebel is a great leash-walker and doesn’t wander Ready to Make Rebel Yours? Rebel is fully vetted, housebroken, and ready for a home that understands and appreciates his quiet strength. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › At around 3–5 years old, Wick is healthy, vaccinated, and ready to find his forever home. Wick adores his humans, snuggles close, and is one of the quietest huskies you’ll ever meet—he only speaks up when he needs something important (like cuddles or dinner!). Wick would thrive with someone who has husky experience and understands the breed’s energy and independence. He has a strong prey drive and can be unpredictable when stressed, likely from past trauma, so a calm, patient home without small animals would be ideal. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you deeply and keep your heart warm, Wick is your guy. Wick had a loving home, but sadly became homeless after his owner fell seriously ill and could no longer care for him. Despite this heartbreaking change, Wick has remained steady, affectionate, and hopeful.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2025, 9:25 am
