Story
Meet Reggie Rhage! Reggie is probably a husky, malamute and super mutt mix. He’s 3 years old and 58 pounds of down to earth good ole' country boy! His foster mom says that Reggie loves to play with dogs of all sizes and loves to spend time outdoors with his humans. She also says that Reggie is a lover of life and everything it has to offer....children, adults and dogs! Reggie has not been cat tested at this time. Reggie's foster mom says that he does well on the leash and is perfectly house and crate trained. He has never had an accident and is very quiet in the house and in his crate. He enjoys his meals and treats in his crate as well. Reggie would love to go for long hikes and play at the dog park. Reggie does not seem to play with many toys but loves a good marrow bone! He is a gentle soul looking for a soft place to crash with a lot of outdoor time. He is waiting for his forever family to share his love of life! Interested in becoming a forever home for Reggie Rhage? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Reggie Rhage. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Reggie Rhage the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our normal adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Nala Kai is a happy-go-lucky kind of girl! She always has a smile on her face and play on her mind! She loves any kind of play with her human family or canine family. Nala can be over zealous and overbearing in her play with doggie friends so slow intros are best for everyone. She is crate trained and treat motivated. Nala adores children and her excitement may be a little too much for young children, but she can learn and is very willing to do so. She wants to please and will need someone to teach her how to be her best! Interested in becoming a forever home for Nala Kai? Story
Meet Hattie, a sweet yet spunky girl that will show you all the love that special need fosters can possibly offer. When we say they are special, Hattie is a testament to everything these animals have to offer. Hattie is around a year old, weighs 30 pounds, and has something called hydrocephalus. She is also blind, but that doesn’t slow her down at all! Hattie is spayed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped! Hattie was born with something called hydrocephalus – fluid on her brain. She takes two meds daily, and has never suffered a seizure since being in our care. Hattie loves life! For the most part, other than looking a little different and not being able to see, Hattie is a typical puppy that loves hanging out outside with her doggy friends. She can be a little uncertain of new dogs, just until she gets to know them, especially ones that get in her face. In those cases all she wants to is to have her space and she will check them out and before long be playing right alongside of them. Her condition makes it hard to potty train, but she does really well when out in the house, as long as she goes outside often. Hattie LOVES squeaky toys! Like LOVES LOVES LOVES them! Hattie lives with foster siblings of all sizes and ages and does great with everyone. She gets excited in new situations, but she just loves life and wants life to love her back. She lives with cats and honestly really doesn’t know they exist since she can’t see them. Hattie really hasn’t worked on leash training, but we are sure she would be up to the challenge! She has met kids and has done great with then, however, high energy children do cause her to get excited. Hattie deserves a family to call her own and that will accept her for being just a tiny bit different! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application!

Story
Meet Sammy! He is a 4 years old, 60 lbs Husky mix. This handsome hunka love has it all - brains, bronze and beauty! He's super smart and witty! He's a great communicator who won't miss an opportunity to tell you all about himself, in typical husky fashion! Sammy is an intellectual and can sometimes present a little "shy" at first, but once he comes out of his shell, he's all over you! He's a bouncy, excitable guy who's very happy about life - so we think he'd probably do best in a home with older children. He has done great with older kids (8+ yrs) that know how to respect their dog friends. He ADORES his people and craves to be touched and petted. His favorite spots are his chin and chest, which will surly make him show you his gorgeous smile! He is house and kennel trained (although he may complain a little about the kennel) and has learned how to use a doggy door. He has done great with learning his manners. He loves other dogs, big and small, and enjoys being outside and running around the backyard with his doggy friends. We're unsure how he may be with cats. Sammy came to us with a noted history of seizures; however, we haven't seen any since he's been with us! He is currently taking medication as a precaution but our vet team is slowing reducing the dosage to see if there are any changes. Since he does have a history of seizures, he will likely need to remain on some medication for life. This handsome boy is a true gem and would make a great addition to almost any dog-loving home! You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt him at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Story
Fuse is a fantastic dog who loves to play fetch. He's very loving and likes to play outside. Fuse loves getting his back scratched and will curl up against your legs. He will wrap his front paws around your legs and give hugs, and he gives sweet kisses and sits on command. He loves to play with ice. Good with other dogs and he'd love to have a dog brother or sister. Sister would be preferred :) No kitties for this boy though. Crate trained. He is a little mouthy (when playing he uses his mouth like other dogs play with each other) so the children in the home should be teens or older. Adoption fee for all dogs over 4 months is $200.00 each, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (including all puppy boosters for puppies under 4 months), worming, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip and collar/leash/tags.

Story
Hello! I'm Delilah, and I was recently found wandering the streets alongside my best friend, Sampson. After being rescued, I received a comforting bath, delicious meals, and a cozy bed, for which I'm incredibly grateful. I adore people and cherish cuddle sessions. While I enjoy outdoor adventures, nothing beats snuggling up indoors with my foster parents. Rest assured, I'm fully house-trained and sleep soundly through the night. Offering kisses is one of my specialties, and I eagerly anticipate our walk times together. I'm great with kids and other dogs, and while I adore Sampson and would love to stay a pair, I'm open to finding a loving family of my own. My foster dad even calls me "Delovely" because of my stunning looks. I long for a forever home where I can be cherished as part of a loving pack. ##1989152##

Story
Hey there! I'm Sampson, and I was discovered wandering alongside my best friend, Delilah. Initially hesitant to hop into the car with a stranger, I followed Delilah's lead, and boy, am I glad I did! These days, I lounge around the house, enjoying two square meals and plenty of  ear rubs, which I absolutely adore. While I do relish outdoors, I'm mostly an indoor kind of guy. I'm a people person and have limited interaction with children but I like the ones I have met. You might catch me watching TV with particular interest whenever dogs make an appearance. Nighttime is for peaceful slumbers, and rest assured, I'm fully house-trained. Oh, and I've got quite the spring in my step—I love leaping and jumping, so a tall fence would be a wise addition. I would prefer to stay with my bestie Delilah but in the right home, I could get used to the attention all to myself.  My foster mom affectionately calls me Sammy, drawn to my charming face and sweet, expressive eyes. ##1989155##

Story
Foster or AdoptBreed: Siberian Husky / Adoption fee is $100 / Sex: Female Spayed / DOB approx: Jan 23, 2023:  / Weight: Approximately 40 pounds now estimated 55-60 lbs as a adult Gus is a fun little handsome man. He is clever, curious, yet cautious at times and he is a comical most times. This little fuzzball is waiting for his forever home. He would love a family with a doggie companion to show him the way. And an owner that is up for the challenge that his breed can bring. This Puppy has completed his full set of puppy vaccines, This Husky family was rescued from a hoarding situation in May of 2023. The puppies were under socialized when they came to us and will need a little extra work to catch up. These puppies had zero exposure outdoors from birth till 3+ months old and were only exposed to one human. So things are very new and scary for them and they will need time and patience.  But since in rescue they are coming around wonderfully as they are curious and love to explore true to their breed and need to move onto foster or forever home. They are happy and healthy now and ready to start new adventures with your family. House Manners:  Currently he is crated at night and sleeps most nights all the way through. No accidents in crate but has woke me up with vocal when he needed to potty a few times. He has restricted area to the home with a doggie gate in the kitchen area with access to a doggie door. He has not had accidents indoors and uses the doggie door. He is active and in a chewing stage, so a puppy safe roaming area is idea if not supervised and he is crate trained, but will vocalize if there is much activity around his kennel.  Basic Training:  He has learned concept of sit and is learning some basic manners impulse control. He walks on a leash pretty well. He is getting introduced to all his basics but still in learning stage. Other Dogs:  Gains his confidence around other dogs, has not experienced being an only dog since birth. Huskies are a pack orientated breed and he will thrive with another dog. Cats:  There are cats in his foster home, he has had access to the cat and respects it. The cats don't run. There is one cat that will aggress the dogs and the other interacts with them and rubs on their legs etc. A running cat will trigger most dogs to chase. Kids:  Other than being a crazy silly husky pup and destroying toys left on floor they should be fine with kids. Playful nipping should be corrected if he tries it. Fencing: Huskies require secure fencing All of our Husky/Northern breeds require fence photos if you have a yard so we give tips on containment if needed. You can quicken your adoption process by sending us some yard pics, focusing on the fence lines and gates after you send your application. This breed typically does better with a yard but we may have some Northern breeds or mixes that would be suited for apartments etc. please just ask. Please keep in mind if you want to own a husky you need to be open to the fact that containing this dog may require you to install a hot wire system (cost approx $100) this is quite often needed to preventing digging climbing or chewing through fences. A Hot wire is typically the best route to start with for a piece of mind. Installation is simple and can be done in under 2 hours on most yards.   Northern breeds are beautiful dogs but are also a challenge and demanding and can be very destructive and hard to contain when their needs are not met. Please learn a little more about the breed on our home page. Also, we likely know of other Huskies or Malamutes for adoption   The adoption fee is $100.This dog has had its age-appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic de-wormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped with free registration.   Important PLEASE read if interested in adoption:   We have a pretty open adoption policy, apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are okay, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation!!! Some dogs may require a fence of a certain type and height, due to safety, the breed or known history. Huskies generally need secure fencing or they will roam away. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information.   We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womer after leaving our care.     Please submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire by clicking the hyperlink if visible or visiting   Our Home Page to the application link to show your interest in adoption. Only submit one app for any of our dogs, your app will be on file for at least 1 year. This questionnaire simply helps inform us if the dog you are interested in might match your families' dynamics based on what we have learned about that dog. All of our pets at True Friends Animal Rescue are featured on Our Home Page and can be accessed from our web listings, take a look as there may be more than one in our rescue that you like. if you don't find the information you are needing thru our websites, please submit an E-mail.June 3, 2024, 12:09 am
