This boy is absolutely gorgeous and couldn't be sweeter. BUT, he has one issue that could be very dangerous if placed with the wrong family. MacGyver is incredibly smart and can easily escape from his yard. He had not only a physical 4ft fence but also an invisible fence at the base. This worked well until he lost his two fur playmates I believe he became bored and began digging out again. He's so smart that if you forget to double lock the gate, he will lift the handle with his nose and go on a walk about. This adventurous guy does not need to be left in the yard PERIOD! Not even for a few minutes without supervision. When you go inside, he needs to go with you. STRICTLY AN INSIDE DOG. The wonderful part of this big fluff ball is that he loves everyone including children. He even jumps on the trampoline. He is a whole lot of puppy dog, so no small children. He will certainly knock them down. The cut off is nine years old. If there are children in the home and they have friends over, it's important that they enter the yard from the house, not the gate Husky experience would be a huge plus. We are being very cautious with his placement to make certain that we choose the family that not only will keep him safe but also a home where he will get an abundance of love and attention. ****Steel is currently in a new home. While his new family are wonderful people, they know to bring him back to me if it just isn't the right fit for whatever reason. Thank you for your interest**** Steel is a timid, gentle, and quiet dog. He was found on the streets with patchy fur, a broken tail, and suspected to be the victim of abuse. He nursed back to health by a wonderful family who just couldn't keep him. He enjoys a nap as much as a run and has taken to training very well. He's not always affectionate, but the first time he pushes his head against you, you'll melt. Steel does well with other dos and small children, but hasn't spent any time around cats as far as I'm aware. While the listing says I'm looking to rehome due to behavioral issues, please know it's not an issue of Steel's but of our compatibility. He's a wonderful dog and I'm prepared to keep him safe for as long as it takes to find him the right home.
