Astrid is a sweet, beautiful, four year old Canaan/ Lab blend. Looking into her beautiful blue and brown eyes will steal your heart.  Are you looking for a dog that loves people and enjoys running/playing in the yard?  Astrid is the dog for you!  Though a bit shy when she first meets someone, Astrid will be trusting in a few days. She is super friendly and soon will be a loyal and devoted family member. Astrid would make a wonderful addition to an active family. She loves playing in our pond at the shelter, playing fetch, and getting all the hugs volunteers can give. If you are looking for a perfect loyal companion, Astrid is your girl!  A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, but a committed and devoted family with no fence would be considered. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Chloe was born in January of 2017. We have had her since she was taken from Mom. Mom was full blooded Siberian husky, dad was a yellow lab. She has been fixed, house broken, very smart. She was raised with another dog that recently passed at the age of 18 years old. And has always had a cat around also. She was never aggressive with either one. She doesn’t really like small children. The reason we need to rehome her is due to time. We have 5 grandchildren under 2 years old and my husbands mom has dementia and Parkinson’s so due to al of that we just don’t have the time for her. Plus she is gated in the kitchen most of the time. She would make a great companion for someone that could love on her like she deserves.

Story
Mama Dough came to us as a stray with her nine light-colored puppies, which is how the “bread litter” got its name. Nearly all of her babies have now been adopted, and it is finally her turn to find a forever home of her own. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented. Mama Dough is super social and loves being out and about, happily soaking in attention wherever she goes. She has adjusted beautifully to life as an indoor dog and clearly enjoys the comfort and companionship that comes with it. She walks well on a leash and absolutely loves her neighborhood walks. While she has come a long way, she will still need continued training, structure, and a securely fenced yard, as she can be curious about exploring beyond boundaries. She sleeps great in her crate at night and is continuing to build confidence with daytime crating. Mama Dough would thrive in a loving home that offers patience, consistency, and plenty of inclusion, where she can be both an active companion and a devoted, affectionate best friend. Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to most locations within the continental United States. Please note: We are unable to adopt to residents of Massachusetts at this time. To apply, complete our official adoption application at yourlocalfurmama.com/adoption-application. Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications. Once your application is received, a member of our Adoptions Team will contact you within 2–3 business days.

Story
Baguette is a bright, happy girl with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. Energetic and curious, she’s always ready for an adventure, whether that means zooming around the yard, exploring new surroundings, or figuring out her next fun game. She’s smart and eager to learn, already doing well with crate training and showing great potential as she grows. When playtime winds down, Baguette’s favorite place is right by your side. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle, soaking up every bit of attention she can get. Her sweet, expressive face and loving nature make her hard to resist. Baguette would thrive in a home ready for puppy energy, plenty of playtime, and lots of snuggles with a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion. Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to a number of locations within the continental United States.
