Story
Lani is a beautiful 10-month-old puppy who weighed 35 pounds as of February 22, 2026. She has grown up here at the rescue after coming to Tracy’s Paws from the border of Mexico, where someone handed her to me along with her sibling from a junkyard. She was so tiny then that she could literally sit in the palm of my hand. She is heartworm and chagas negative Lani has a heart of gold and simply wants to be close to people. She is incredibly affectionate and would do well in just about any family setting....with children, other dogs, or anyone looking for a loyal companion. She truly loves people and thrives on being near her person. We don’t expect her to get much bigger than she is now. She is also very smart. A trainer who worked with her said Lanny picked up commands like sit and other basic skills very quickly and would be a star pupil in any training class. Lanny is crate-trained, gets along well with other dogs, and is ready for a home of her own outside of the rescue where she can finally have her very own person. One of her cutest quirks is that she absolutely loves water—she’ll happily splash and play right in her water bowl. Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip *The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance* If you think you might be the perfect match for this sweet girl, you can apply to adopt her online at: www.tracyspawsrescue.org

Story
Last December, Lefty was a stray found on the side of the road exhausted and unable to get up. He was taken by a family member to the pet ER where he was diagnosed with a compound fracture of his left leg. He had been injured for at least two days and infection/necrosis had set in - amputation was necessary. Funds were raised online family members provided post op care. After healing, he was neutered and was found to have heartworms. Heartworm treatment was provided and was completed in March. All of his vaccines have been provided (rabies, DHLPP, bordetella) and he is on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives (must have). All his records are available for review. Lefty is estimated to be about 3 years old. He has shown no interest in cats or small prey and gets along with the dogs he meets. He is active and loves to be outside and interact with people, but can be quiet and rest in his room. He is very treat motivated. Lefty needs love, a sturdy fenced back yard, and on leash when out.
