Story
Hi, I'm Lucy! I'm young and full of energy. My days are filled with play, thanks to my love for toys. Fetch is my favorite game, but I'm always up for learning new ones! I'm also a smart cookie. I've mastered walking on a leash, and I'm always eager to learn more. My friendly nature means I adore people. I love giving sweet doggy kisses and receiving belly rubs in return. I'm not just playful and sweet, but also loyal. I promise to be your best friend, your confidante, your walking partner, and your source of endless joy. Why should you adopt me? Well, I believe every home needs a dash of Lucy love, a sprinkle of my energy, and a heap of my loyalty. I promise to make your life a lot more fun and full of love! Adoption Process If you are ready to meet the pet, please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10666/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, the adoption fee is $150. ##2283725##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rex is a 2-year-old neutered male Husky/Pit Bull mix with striking, beautiful eyes and an even more beautiful personality. This sweet boy is friendly, affectionate, and ready to find a family to call his own.Rex appears to do well with other dogs, but as with all of our adoptions, a meet-and-greet is required to ensure everyone is a good match. He would do best in a home without poultry, as he does not do well around chickens or other types of birds. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a loving heart, handsome looks, and a wonderful personality, Rex may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Ghost. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
ANNA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Anna is a super sweet 1–2-year-old Siberian Husky. She was found as a stray and was then tied up in a yard for a short time before being turned over to the rescue. She accepts training and is very treat motivated. She likes to play with her people and accepts dogs smaller than her. She is initially timid and guarded around dogs bigger than her. However, when given time and the opportunity to get to know them, she is tolerant of them as well. Anna needs a family that is willing to give her time and space and let her be in control of affection and play time. She has not been tested with small children or animals other than dogs. She currently lives in a foster home with three other dogs but has only befriended the smaller male. She would do best as an only dog in a home with adults or older children. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Anna up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Anna here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net      THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 18, 2026, 2:08 pm
