Story
Where are our husky lovers?Jack was surrendered to us in September 2023 and hasn't found his perfect family yet. He is a very handsome and active boy. He loves going on walks and playing with toys, and he has enjoyed playing with some other dogs here at the shelter. Jack loves to learn! He would benefit from learning tricks and showing off how smart he is. He loves mental stimulation and would also make the best running partner. We recommend Jack to be housed with older and mature children. Jack is friendly, but he has an independent personality and prefers patience to help him make his own decisions. Jack needs a husky-savvy family that can give him the exercise, enrichment, and guidance he needs to thrive. If you have a doggie, we can set up a meet and greet. If you have cats or chickens, we prefer you choose another one of our amazing pups. Jack has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. All he needs is you! Story
Muneca is a very sweet dog who loves people and enjoys attention. She's great on car rides and is up to date on all her vaccinations. However, Muneca is not suitable for homes near farms, as she has been known to kill chickens and is not good with livestock or cats. She would thrive in a home that can provide a lot of love and care, away from farm environments. Muneca is ready for her forever home with someone who can meet her needs and enjoy her affectionate personality. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 36 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
NOKI IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED! Husky lovers meet Noki! He is a very energetic, extremely happy, heartworm negative boy who is looking for his forever home. Last October, a good Samaritan was notified of a dog that had been dumped on a backroad and needed help. This good Samaritan took him in to begin his new chapter of his life. He went straight to the bath (which he did amazing in). It's very obvious whoever had him before was not kind to him like his new foster. He wouldn't walk into a room if he saw a man standing there. He didn't seem to know much about being inside or even how to be a dog for that matter. His foster would give him a bone, and he would just rub his face on it; she would turn on the tv, and he would run and hide behind the couch. He wanted so bad to be around people, but he didn't understand how to go about it. Fast forward to 6 months later, Noki has completely transformed! Yes, he still has some ways to go, but he is a totally different dog than the one found dumped on a backroad last year. He has never met a dog that he didn't like. He isn't picky either about his dog friends; they can be bigger or smaller as long as they want to play with him! He's still learning how to walk politely on the leash; he tends to pull out of pure excitement of seeing all the new sites! We are still working on crate training as well. Being a husky, he is very vocal at times, especially if he doesn't agree with the situation. He goes in the crate politely, and he will quiet down after a bit, but he will sure let you know he feels about it for a bit. All of that said, as soon as he sees you coming to get him, he gets so excited waiting for his next adventure with you. Please consider opening up your home to this goofy, loving, and resilient dog who is just searching for a place to finally call home.  Noki is completely vetted and ready for adoption! He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and current on prevention. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Noki up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Noki here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Introducing the wonderful Miska, a 1-2-year-old female husky mix rescued from the shelter's euthanasia list. Although Miska was initially heartworm positive, she has undergone treatment and is now fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and ready for a fresh start. While Miska remains a bit timid, she is making strides each day towards overcoming her past. It's apparent that she experienced abandonment and lacked the socialization she needed during her puppyhood. Despite her early challenges, Miska is dog-friendly and would thrive in a family environment filled with love, patience, and understanding. Miska deserves the opportunity to find happiness and have a family to call her own. She is currently adapting well in her temporary foster care, but she longs for a permanent home. Consider welcoming Miska into your family in 2023, and be part of her journey to a brighter and happier future.
