SOS! Solomon is a wonderful 9 yr old husky boy needing an urgent home with no cats or chickens. He was surrendered for euthanasia for killing chickens. Huskies are notorious for escape artists when they are bored. Since he was pulled to the rescue, he has never attempted to escape our fence. He is fully vetted and house trained. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. His adoption fee is only the cost of transport. Stella would do best in a home with older kids who can understand and enjoy her energetic nature, and she’ll need a cat-free home. She’s still working on some basic obedience, like polite leash walking and keeping all four paws on the ground, but with consistency and love, she’ll shine. Hi, I'm Kevin! I'm only 13 months old, so still kind of a big puppy, but I'm the BEST boy! I live in a foster home with four other big dogs and I love them! I want to play all the time, so I'd love to have a playmate in my new home. My breed mix includes Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, and husky. My foster mom takes me on 2-4 mile walks every day and I am very good on the leash. We go to the dog park at least once a week and I love to play with the dogs and chase the squirrels. I believe in early to rise, early to bed! After about 7 pm, I just want my comfy dog bed. I am house-trained, crate-trained, vaccinated, up-to-date on heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and micro-chipped. Want to meet me? Just apply at forrescue.net!

SIMBA IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Simba is shy at first, but warms up.  That is classic chow chow behavior. His lovely reddish coat is more labrador like.  Known for their loyal nature, chows may not be the life of the party, but they love movie night with their family! He is friendly to other low key dogs. When he met a younger small dog, his body language relaxed completely and his tail went to wagging.   He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on lead, and loves a car ride. He is treat motivated and a quick learner. He is wary of strangers (to him) that approach the fenced yard, which is pretty standard for the chow breed. They are known to be protective of their family.  Simba's best home will have a secure fence and medium activity level, where he can take walks with his family or hang out on the couch. A previous history of excellent vet care for current or previous pets is required. We have not kid tested Simba, so we would not place in a home where there is a lot of activity without additional assessment.  If you love the chow breed without the chow fluff, Simba will be a great companion. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA.
