Meet Stella, a beautiful adult Husky mix with a big personality and even bigger energy! True to her breed, Stella is an active, intelligent girl who thrives on physical exercise and mental challenges. She loves spending time with her people, whether that’s hanging out together or playing an enthusiastic game of fetch. At the end of the day, though, she's ready to snuggle and get some good scratches. Stella would do best in a home with older kids who can understand and enjoy her energetic nature, and she’ll need a cat-free home. She’s still working on some basic obedience, like polite leash walking and keeping all four paws on the ground, but with consistency and love, she’ll shine. Stella is ready for an active family to call her own! Come meet Stella today!

Meet Nova! Nova is a beautiful, one-year-old husky with the sweetest soul. She is incredibly loving and thrives when she’s around her people — whether that’s going for walks, hanging out at home, or just being part of the action. She has a fun, playful personality and keeps you laughing with her expressions and classic husky attitude. Nova is eager to learn, people-oriented, and a joy to work with. She already knows basic commands including sit, shake, and touch, Nova is doing very well with both potty training and kennel training and has adapted quickly to a home environment. She also loves playing with toys and chewing on bones. She gets along well with other dogs and would be happy with a canine companion or as the center of attention in her new home. True to her breed, Nova has the classic husky “woo” and loves to talk to her people. Nova will thrive in an active home where she can get regular exercise, as she truly enjoys staying busy. She would make a great hiking, walking, or adventure buddy. Nova is a classic husky — vocal, smart, playful, and full of personality — and will thrive with someone who appreciates the breed’s charm and energy. Nova is being fostered in Huntsville, AL. Story
SIMBA IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Simba is shy at first, but warms up.  That is classic chow chow behavior. His lovely reddish coat is more labrador like.  Known for their loyal nature, chows may not be the life of the party, but they love movie night with their family! He is friendly to other low key dogs. When he met a younger small dog, his body language relaxed completely and his tail went to wagging.   He is house trained, crate trained, walks well on lead, and loves a car ride. He is treat motivated and a quick learner. He is wary of strangers (to him) that approach the fenced yard, which is pretty standard for the chow breed. They are known to be protective of their family.  Simba's best home will have a secure fence and medium activity level, where he can take walks with his family or hang out on the couch. A previous history of excellent vet care for current or previous pets is required. We have not kid tested Simba, so we would not place in a home where there is a lot of activity without additional assessment.  If you love the chow breed without the chow fluff, Simba will be a great companion. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Simba up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Simba here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2026, 10:14 am

Story
Miller is a sweet and playful boy looking for his forever home. His ideal day includes playtime with his favorite stuffies, rolling in dry grass and bushes on a long walk, and a car ride to the nearest drive-thru coffee shop for a pup cup. Miller does great on a leash, but we are still working on some manners when we walk by other dogs and people because he wants to be EVERYONES best friend! Miller loves meeting new people and guests, he treats everyone he meets like he has known them for life. Miller is making good improvements in crate and house training and these skills should continue to improve when he is adopted. He is not very food motivated, but will beg for ice cubes every time you open the freezer door. Miller is truly a versatile dog, whether you want a hiking buddy or a couch potato. Apply to adopt your new best friend today!
