Story
At around 7 months old, Wally is everything people hope for in a puppy: fun, friendly, eager to learn, and surprisingly well-mannered. This handsome Husky mix has already mastered many of the basics. Wally knows sit and stay, is house trained, and is crate trained. For a young dog, he has an impressive foundation and is proving to be a smart pup who enjoys learning and working with his people. Wally is dog friendly and enjoys canine companionship, though he would benefit from continued socialization as he grows and gains confidence. Like any adolescent dog, he’s still learning about the world and will thrive with an adopter committed to continuing his training and helping him become the best dog he can be. He’s active enough to enjoy adventures, walks, and playtime, but he also has an affectionate side and loves spending time with his people. Wally is at that perfect age where he’s left much of the puppy chaos behind but still has his whole life ahead of him. If you’re looking for a young dog with a great personality, a solid training foundation, and the potential to become an incredible lifelong companion, Wally may be the perfect fit. Story
Snow is a 10-month-old petite Husky with a big personality packed into a smaller frame. She is an active, playful girl who loves making new canine friends and would do well in a home with another friendly dog. Like many young Huskies, Snow is still learning her manners and is very mouthy, so she will need an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and helping her learn appropriate ways to interact with people. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement will go a long way with this smart young pup. Because of her mouthy behavior and puppy energy, Snow is looking for a home without children. She also needs a home without cats. She would thrive with an active owner who understands the Husky breed and is ready to provide the structure, exercise, and training she needs to become the best companion possible. If you are looking for a fun, social, and adventurous dog to grow with, Snow may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Say hello to Maya, a 5 year old spayed Husky mix available for adoption! Maya sadly was found running loose in the city with a nasty embedded chain collar. Since then, she has received medical care and made a full recovery! Maya is a typical husky in the sense that she has lots of fun bouncy energy and a very intelligent mind. She will be best suited with an adopter who has Husky breed experience. Maya would prefer to be your one and only pup. She loves to cuddle up for affection! If Maya is the girl for you, email Christy.Hemsworth@rva.gov. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 44 Age: 5yrs 7mths 0wks

Sasha will be 10 years old in November of 2026. I’m moving and and she needs a home to live out her years. She’s a great guard dog that will need a fenced back yard…She does need to go to the vet and have her nails trimmed. She needs a stern, experienced owner. Only health issue, she can lose a few pounds.
