Adopt a Pet from Mutt Life! Looking to add a furry friend to your family? At Mutt Life Rescue of Wisconsin, we have loving pets waiting for their forever homes. Explore our adoptable animals and find your perfect match today! For the latest updates on the mutts, follow us on Facebook: @muttlifewi Visit our website: Muttlife.org __________ Meet Sheeba Sheeba is a sweet senior girl who made it safely to Wisconsin and is settling in nicely in her foster home! She’s reunited with her friend Scooby and couldn’t be happier. Sheeba is an easy-peasy girl who just wants to hang out, get pets, and enjoy all the love her foster family has to offer. Unfortunately, Sheeba and Scooby were “found as strays” and dropped off at the shelter. They looked well cared for, and with their matching collars and leashes, it was clear they weren’t strays at all — they were someone’s beloved dogs who were sadly left at the shelter. Scooby was able to come up on our transport in October, but Sheeba had to stay behind to finish her heartworm treatment, as she tested positive when she arrived at the shelter. She’s still completing her treatment but was able to make the trip to Wisconsin safely and is now thriving in her foster home. From a rough start to a second chance, Sheeba is thriving. She enjoys quiet companionship, gentle play, and soaking up attention. Sheeba is also working on the basics of dog life, including potty training, crate training, and leash manners — but her easygoing personality makes it all a breeze. We would absolutely love to find a forever home where "Scooby and Sheeba can stay together" and live out their days as best friends. To make this extra special, we’re offering a discounted adoption for both dogs together. Story
Looking for a dog who’s got enough personality to fill your whole heart (and maybe a bit of your couch)? Meet Mini, an energetic 45lb, playful, smart, and incredibly lovable pup who’s ready to find her forever family! Mini is always up for a game of fetch, a hike, or just zooming around the yard. This pup thrives on activity and stimulation and would love an active home that can match her playful spirit. She`s a pro at puzzle toys, and loves learning new things! Snuggle time is also a must - when the energy winds down, Mini is all about the cuddles.Mini was found with another dog and would do best in a home with another confident adult dog who can show her the ropes. Although she`s very vocal when she sees another dog, as soon as she meets them she typically wants to play. A fenced yard would be beneficial for this girl but not necessarily required as long as she is on a leash or tie out and monitored. Cats are a little too exciting for Mini, so a feline-free home would be a must. She`s incredibly food motivated and has impressed us with her intelligence, making training fun and rewarding for everyone!During her time here, Mini has been on multiple day trips and office days with our wonderful volunteers. She`s learned a lot from these outings and has impressed us with her house manners. Although she`s still learning, she`s improving on her potty training with minimal accidents indoors. Like many of us, Mini has a few quirks that make her extra special. We’re currently working on things like reactivity to cars during walks and being calm when seeing new dogs through positive training, she is making great progress! She very rarely barks at cars that pass her, and she more easily quiets down when she sees another dog. A patient, dog-savvy adopter who’s open to continuing this journey will get to witness firsthand the rewarding progress as Mini gains more confidence and skills. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Rooster is an energetic, intelligent pup who thrives when his mind and body are kept busy. If you’re looking for a companion to join you on adventures, training sessions, or active outings, he might just be your perfect match!Rooster is still learning how to navigate the world politely. We think he`d do best in a home with older children since he can be a bit jumpy and mouthy at times, but he’s shown fantastic improvement with consistent structure and patient guidance. He’s also very food-motivated and loves all things TOYS! He loves fetch, tug, puzzle toys, or romping around with his favorite ball in his mouth. Rooster is a big snuggler and an affectionate guy. He loves being praised and soaks up any attention he gets. He`s also our #1 enrichment fanatic - he loves any and all puzzle toys or enrichment activities we provide! With his energy and enthusiasm, Rooster would make an excellent hiking or running buddy. He’s a volunteer favorite for jogging and is always excited to help his favorite humans get their steps in! When it comes to other dogs, Rooster is curious but pushy and undersocialized. He means well, but he’s still figuring out what appropriate dog manners look like. Because of this, he may need several slow, positive meet-and-greets with a resident dog to learn how to interact and play politely. He may still do best in a dog-free home, or with someone committed to helping him build his social skills at his own pace.If you’re active, dedicated to training, and excited about watching a young husky grow into his full potential, Rooster is ready to meet you. He’s eager, he’s lovable, and he’s waiting for his person. Could that be you? Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website.
