Story
Howdy, I am a good ol' boy from Louisiana and I am very excited about finding my forever home in Wisconsin. I was in an over-crowded shelter in the south but my exquisite husky coat is much more suited for northern temperatures so I was happy to be on a transport heading to WCHS. I am a young guy with a ton of energy to burn and I am looking for a family who has experience with my breed and knows how phenomenal huskies are; in addition to our quirky idiosyncrasies. I am somewhat persnickety about my canine friends and prefer not to participate in the playgroups at the shelter; I would much rather spend my time hiking rather than going to dog parks. When it comes to humans, I am very affectionate and love to be face to face; so much so that I enjoy giving hugs. I understand that a 50-pound pup passing out hugs and kisses to all around may be a tad unnerving for some folks so perhaps we can turn my passion into a cue. That way it becomes a win-win. People who enjoy a big fluffy hug are happy, I get to indulge in one of my favorite activities and those that prefer four-on-the-floor simply do not ask for a ‘hug'. I am a smart dude and think it would be lovely to take some classes with you to practice new skills. I am quite athletic and think it would be fun to get involved in canine sports or dog parkour; it would be grand if I could have a job or two so I have a sense of purpose. I also have a phenomenal schnoz that could be put to good use with challenging games or learning nose work; I like to keep my brain busy. I am playful, alert and a free-spirit; I am sure we can have many exciting adventures together. I hope you stop by to make my acquaintance because I think you will fall in love. Then you can Blame it on Rio, because I am a lovable handsome hunk.#2

Story
Hey there! I'm Taz! I'm a young husky/shepherd mix that was surrendered to the shelter with my sister Trixie because we weren't getting along with the cat in the home. That being said, I've found myself homeless and in search of my new forever home! I have lived with kids in the past, and I am very friendly with them, but I am a jumpy and mouthy boy sometimes, so I would do best in a home with kids that are used to being around dogs like that. My sister and I are a bonded pair, and we love each other so, so much and would love to go to place that is willing to have twice the fun and take us both home! We are such great friends! We have a tendency to team up on other dogs, so we would need to go into a home that doesn't have other dogs in it already. I have a good amount of energy, love to go for walks and play in the yard with my sister, and also enjoy getting pets and attention from time to time as well! Staff and volunteers give me as much love as they can here, but I would really love to have a home of my own again where I can run and play to my heart's content! Could that be with you? Trixie and I would love to meet you! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 70.31 Age: 1yrs 2mths 2wks

Story
Hi friends! Trixie here! What's a gorgeous girl like me still doing here in the shelter? Good question! Answer - I have no clue! I surrendered to the shelter with my brother Taz because we didn't get along with the kitty that was in our home with us. I am such a sweet girl, would do well with kids that can respect my space when I get overwhelmed, and am pretty mellow considering I am a mix of two high-energy breeds! Taz and I are a bonded pair because we love each other so, so much and are pretty well-behaved when we are together! We love running in the yard together and play-wrestling every chance we get! We would love to find a home that is willing to have twice the fun and adopt us both! We know it would be asking a lot, but we would repay you with all the love and fun you can get! Could I be a good fit for you? Ask to meet me here at the shelter! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 68.94 Age: 3yrs 2mths 0wks
