Story
Meet Chevy, a calm, gentle, and incredibly loving Husky mix who's ready to find a home where he can truly shine. Chevy does great with other dogs, greeting them politely and then happily doing his own thing. He’ll join in for play when invited but is just as content to relax and observe. He’s completely unbothered by cats and stays calm around children, making him a wonderful fit for many types of families. This handsome boy is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and settles nicely in a crate. He knows his commands and enjoys simply being near you, whether you're reading a book, watching TV, or just relaxing at home. His energy level mirrors yours, which is one of the most special things about him; he matches the mood of the room with ease. Chevy is more than just a good dog; he's a true companion. If you're searching for a mellow, affectionate Husky to share your life with, Chevy might just be the perfect fit. Come meet him and see for yourself, every minute with him is a joy.

Story
Meet Noki, a gorgeous 9-year-old Husky with a gentle soul and a love for the simple things in life. Most of the time, Noki is calm and relaxed, perfectly content to hang out and enjoy your company. Every now and then, she’ll treat you to her classic husky “talking” and silly squeals, which just adds to her charm. She’s good on a leash and greets strangers with confidence, always keeping all four paws politely on the ground. Noki isn’t one to demand constant entertainment, she’s more of a “let’s relax and watch TV together” kind of dog. While she doesn’t care much for toys, she does adore belly rubs and just being with her people. She’s lived with a variety of folks, from teenagers to a single older gentleman, and we think she’ll do best in a calmer, lower-energy household that matches her own laid-back pace. She’s shown no issues with other dogs, and she’s non-reactive to cats as well. With her chill personality, low-to-medium energy level, and sweet, people-pleasing nature, Noki is the kind of companion who will happily settle into your life and heart.

Story
Meet Jennie! Jennie is a smart, energetic girl who’s ready to find a family that can keep up with her zest for life! She’s potty trained and keeps her kennel clean and dry, even though it’s not her favorite place to be. Jennie walks well on a leash but gets excited about everything happening around her, so she’ll need someone with a confident hand to help keep her focused. The good news? She takes correction very well! She already knows sit, lie down, and off. Jennie previously lived with two adult Huskies and was always eager to play, whether her canine friends were in the mood or not. She plays with her whole heart, bounding, leaping, and chasing with pure joy. When she’s chewing a toy, that’s her entire world; when she’s playing fetch, she’s all in. She doesn’t always crave cuddles just yet, but she loves affection through head scratches, belly rubs, and full-body pets. Jennie is enthusiastic, confident, loving, and wonderfully silly. Within minutes of meeting new people, she’s asking for belly rubs and looking up with those big, soulful blue eyes full of trust and love. Her fluffy coat feels like running your fingers through a soft shag carpet, and her joyful personality will keep you smiling every day. She’s eager to learn, though, and with patience and guidance, she’ll quickly adapt to her new home’s rules and routines. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited companion who loves with her whole heart, Jennie just might be your girl.

Story
Hey, I'm Inu, 3yr old Husky mix, around 55 lbs. Am I ever "Inu".... see what I did there? I am a sweet boy who is ready for my new forever home. I get along great with people of all sizes and all the other doggos. I am not a fan of cats so please, let’s not try that! I am a bigger boy so keep that in mind if you have little people cos I could knock them over, but I would make an awesome walking / running / hiking partner with the big-uns! If you think you and I might just make the perfect pairing, then please check me out asap! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Looking for a dog who’s got enough personality to fill your whole heart (and maybe a bit of your couch)? Meet Mini, an energetic 45lb, playful, smart, and incredibly lovable pup who’s ready to find her forever family! Mini is always up for a game of fetch, a hike, or just zooming around the yard. This pup thrives on activity and stimulation and would love an active home that can match her playful spirit. She`s a pro at puzzle toys, and loves learning new things! Snuggle time is also a must - when the energy winds down, Mini is all about the cuddles.Mini was found with another dog and would do best in a home with another confident adult dog who can show her the ropes. Although she`s very vocal when she sees another dog, as soon as she meets them she typically wants to play. A fenced yard would be beneficial for this girl but not necessarily required as long as she is on a leash or tie out and monitored. Cats are a little too exciting for Mini, so a feline-free home would be a must. She`s incredibly food motivated and has impressed us with her intelligence, making training fun and rewarding for everyone!During her time here, Mini has been on multiple day trips and office days with our wonderful volunteers. She`s learned a lot from these outings and has impressed us with her house manners. Although she`s still learning, she`s improving on her potty training with minimal accidents indoors. Like many of us, Mini has a few quirks that make her extra special. We’re currently working on things like reactivity to cars during walks and being calm when seeing new dogs through positive training, she is making great progress! She very rarely barks at cars that pass her, and she more easily quiets down when she sees another dog. A patient, dog-savvy adopter who’s open to continuing this journey will get to witness firsthand the rewarding progress as Mini gains more confidence and skills. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website.
