Story
Hi, I'm Nikey! Through no fault of my own, I found myself looking for a new family after my owner had to move and couldn't take me along. While life has changed for me, I'm hoping my next chapter is filled with comfort, love, and plenty of belly rubs. I'm a sweet, goofy Husky who's reached the point in life where I'm happiest soaking up the simple things. Give me a comfy spot to lounge, a nice walk, a game of fetch, and plenty of belly rubs, and I'll be one happy guy. I'm a bit of a chatterbox too-I love to "talk" to my people, and I'm always ready to tell you when it's time to head outside or when I'd like a little extra attention. I'm looking for a calm, quieter home where I can truly relax. Loud, busy environments aren't really my style, and I'd do best with older, respectful kids. If you're searching for a loyal companion who enjoys leisurely walks, relaxing by your side, and showering you with affection (especially if you're willing to hand out belly rubs!), I think we could be the perfect match! I have lots of love left to give, and I'd be so happy to spend my golden years with someone who appreciates a gentle, easygoing friend like me! Story
Hey, I'm Inu, 3yr old Husky mix, around 55 lbs. Am I ever "Inu".... see what I did there? I am a sweet boy who is ready for my new forever home. I get along great with people of all sizes and all the other doggos. I am not a fan of cats so please, let’s not try that! I am a bigger boy so keep that in mind if you have little people cos I could knock them over, but I would make an awesome walking / running / hiking partner with the big-uns! If you think you and I might just make the perfect pairing, then please check me out asap! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Hi I’m Singer. I’m a lab/husky mix around 2 years old. Just as my name implies... I like to "sing". I may not look like I'm Husky but I must have some in me to be as vocal as I am! I have lots of energy too and would love it if you enjoyed hiking or running.... or even just a nice long walk. I need to get my exercise and I can't think of a better way than doing something with you. You will never be bored with me around cos I always have something to say or something to do. Find out about me and I will sing you the song of my people! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Looking for a blue eyed girl... brown eyed girl... Well you get both with me. Hi I'm Sasha and as you can see I have the beautiful eyes of a Husky, one of each colour! I am about 2.5 years old and ready to meet you. I am a very sweet and gentle girl looking for my forever home. I know some commands and I love other dogs and all the people. I walk well on a leash, I’m quite calm and leisurely and would make the perfect walking, hiking, running companion. I have that super smart Husky brain and I am very attentive to my people. I would love to find an active home who like to balance activity with good naps! I would make a wonderful friend for anyone, so please, don't be shy... find out more about me. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
At around 2 years old, Mabel is a beautiful Husky mix with all the intelligence, personality, and adventurous spirit you`d expect from the breed. She`s happiest when she`s on the move, from going for a run or exploring on a long walk to splashing around in a kiddie pool or playing with her dog friends. She also loves toys and is always ready for her next adventure.Mabel is incredibly smart... maybe a little too smart! She`s become quite the escape artist and has proven she`s capable of climbing or finding her way over fences. Because of this, she`ll do best with a family that`s comfortable exercising her on a secure tie out or leash rather than relying on a fenced yard. Keeping both her mind and body busy will help this clever girl thrive. When Mabel first arrived, she was a little unsure of new people, but she`s made wonderful progress and continues to gain confidence every day. She still prefers meeting new people one or two at a time, and once she realizes you`re a friend, her sweet personality shines through. We think she`d do well with respectful children after a slow introduction, and she has the cutest quiet little husky howl that she saves for when she`s excited to head out for a walk.Like many Huskies, Mabel forms strong bonds with her people. She does experience some separation anxiety, so she`d be happiest in a home where someone is around frequently or with another confident, playful dog to keep her company. She absolutely loves having canine friends to romp around with. Because she has a high prey drive, we think she`d do best in a home without cats.If you`re looking for a fun, active companion who will keep you laughing with her clever antics, join you on every adventure, and reward you with endless love and adorable husky `conversations,` Mabel just might be the perfect fit for you. Story
Thor is a 4-year-old, three-legged pup who`s currently on the road to recovery and looking for a foster-to-adopt home while he continues to gain weight and get back to feeling his best. Missing a leg certainly doesn`t stop him. Thor gets around great, loves to happily hop around when he`s excited, and is always content taking his time sniffing around on walks.Thor has an affectionate side, too. He enjoys curling up with his people, leaning in for scratches, and relaxing after a day of exploring. He`s also a big fan of chewing on Nylabones to keep himself entertained. As part of his recovery, Thor is on a strict feeding regimen to help him gain weight. Because of this, he`ll need a home where he can be fed separately from any resident pets to ensure he gets every meal he needs and doesn`t do any extra snacking! He`ll also need to be weighed daily so we can monitor his progress and make sure he`s staying on track.Thor has previously lived with other dogs and did well with them. We aren`t sure how he would do with cats, but we think he would do well in a home with older, respectful children.Thor is looking for a family that`s ready to help him through the last part of his recovery before making his adoption official. If you`re looking for a laid back companion who enjoys both outdoor adventures and quiet time at home, Thor may be the perfect addition to your family. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website.
