Meet Toothless!Toothless is an almost 2-year-old lovebug who is looking for someone special to help him feel safe, loved, and confident in the world around him. Toothless is a loving boy who is still working on building his confidence in new situations and with new people. He takes a little while to trust and will need patience, time, and several meet-and-greets to feel comfortable. But once Toothless decides you’re a safe person, you’ll see just how loving and affectionate he truly is.He loves to snuggle, enjoys leisurely, sniff-filled walks, and is happiest when he can relax with the people he trusts. Toothless is also very food motivated and learns quickly!Dogs:We believe Toothless would do best in a home with another confident, well-mannered dog. A confident canine companion could be incredibly beneficial for Toothless as he continues building his confidence, helping him feel more secure and showing him the ropes as he settles into his new life. Because of this, we are specifically looking for a home with a confident, well-mannered resident dog who can help him feel more comfortable and confident.Cats:Toothless needs a cat-free home.Children:Toothless is looking for a calm, child-free home.Home Environment:Toothless will need a calm, predictable home where he can settle in at his own pace. His adopter will need to understand that building trust with Toothless takes time. We are looking for someone who is willing to meet Toothless several times before bringing him home and give him the time he needs to build a relationship and feel comfortable. With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and the support of a confident canine companion, we know Toothless will continue to blossom.Potty Training:Toothless will need continued work with potty training. His new family will need to be patient and understanding as he learns the routine in his new home. Consistency, positive reinforcement, and patience will be important as he learns what is expected of him.His Favorite Things:- Snuggling with people he trusts- Leisurely, sniff-filled walks- Playing with the right canine friends- Spending time with his favorite people- Food! Toothless is very food motivated.- Learning new things - he catches on quickly!Foster-to-Adopt:Toothless is currently looking for a foster-to-adopt home with a confident, well-mannered resident dog where he can continue building confidence while getting the love, patience, and support he deserves.Toothless may take some time to open his heart, but once he decides you’re safe, you’ll see what a loving and affectionate boy he truly is. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions. - Approved applications are required prior to meeting any of our dogs.**Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs, unless there already is a cat in the home. If the cat in the home is 10 years or older, this two-kitten policy will apply.
