Story
Hey there! I'm Taz! I'm a young husky/shepherd mix that was surrendered to the shelter with my sister Trixie because we weren't getting along with the cat in the home. That being said, I've found myself homeless and in search of my new forever home! I have lived with kids in the past, and I am very friendly with them, but I am a jumpy and mouthy boy sometimes, so I would do best in a home with kids that are used to being around dogs like that. My sister and I are a bonded pair, and we love each other so, so much and would love to go to place that is willing to have twice the fun and take us both home! We are such great friends! We have a tendency to team up on other dogs, so we would need to go into a home that doesn't have other dogs in it already. I have a good amount of energy, love to go for walks and play in the yard with my sister, and also enjoy getting pets and attention from time to time as well! Staff and volunteers give me as much love as they can here, but I would really love to have a home of my own again where I can run and play to my heart's content! Could that be with you? Trixie and I would love to meet you! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 70.31 Age: 1yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
Hi friends! Trixie here! What's a gorgeous girl like me still doing here in the shelter? Good question! Answer - I have no clue! I surrendered to the shelter with my brother Taz because we didn't get along with the kitty that was in our home with us. I am such a sweet girl, would do well with kids that can respect my space when I get overwhelmed, and am pretty mellow considering I am a mix of two high-energy breeds! Taz and I are a bonded pair because we love each other so, so much and are pretty well-behaved when we are together! We love running in the yard together and play-wrestling every chance we get! We would love to find a home that is willing to have twice the fun and adopt us both! We know it would be asking a lot, but we would repay you with all the love and fun you can get! Could I be a good fit for you? Ask to meet me here at the shelter! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 68.94 Age: 3yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Meet the adorable Aries! This wonderful dog is house trained and does great when left alone. Although he's hesitant to enter his crate at first, once inside, he settles down and waits patiently until you return. Aries isn't destructive and does well on a leash, though he could use a bit more training to be considered a pro. He knows commands like "sit" and "house" (for crate), and he's learning "leave it" and "wait/stay." Aries enjoys picking up items around the house, like stuffed toys or, if none are available, your belongings. When he wants attention, he'll sing the husky song and paw at you. Aries has glaucoma, which is managed with medication, but he may need eye surgery in the future if the condition worsens. He takes eye drops easily with belly rubs, and he's good with other dogs in his foster home. Aries loves carrying stuffed toys without tearing them apart and enjoys chewing on bones. He doesn't quite grasp tug of war or fetch but loves squeaky toys, having separate ones for indoors and outdoors. He is described as loving, affectionate, and curious by his foster family. With his super fuzzy fur and adorable teddy bear face with a perfect pink nose, he's irresistibly cute. He prefers to be with his pack but will settle in another room if needed. Aries is incredibly tolerant, especially with grooming, eye drops, and being dried off. True to his husky nature, he has a distinct "song that he'll share, especially if ignored. Aries is one of the best-behaved dogs his foster family has had, needing minimal training due to his intelligence and quick learning. Aries would thrive in a relaxed, yet outdoorsy environment with people ready to manage his fur and provide the stimulation he needs, like complex slow feeder bowls. As long as he has access to dog beds, couches, and toys, Aries is a very happy boy! Please note that Aries will likely require daily eye drops and possibly surgery for his glaucoma in the future. While this doesn't currently affect his behavior or personality, he needs a home understanding to his medical care. Apply for this good boy today!

Meet Laurel-she is a spayed 7mo old husky mix. Good with other dogs. How can you resist those ears? Here is what her foster mom has to say about herLaurel is ready to charm her way into your heart and home. She is a social butterfly who loves nothing more than playing with other dogs and people. Laurel is smart and treat-motivated. We are working on redirecting and controlling those puppy behaviors which is hard when there is so much fun to be had. At the end of each day, Laurel loves belly rubs and snuggles.
