Story
Meet Odin! This pint-sized Jack Russell Terrier has a heart as big as his ears. Odin is about 1 year old and came to us from Sonoma County Animal Services. He was previously adopted and returned, so he’ll do best in a home that’s ready to support him through an adjustment period and continued training. Odin can be a little shy at first, but with patience and love, his confidence will bloom. He’d enjoy having a doggy buddy to show him the ropes—or even a feline friend to share cozy naps with! Looking for a sweet, scruffy sidekick? Odin might just be your perfect match January 27, 2026, 12:59 pm

Story
Meet me at the mobile adoption event on Saturday, February 14th at Woodlands Pet Food & Treats Greenbrae from 12-3pm (unless adopted before 3pm). An onsite sign-in sheet will open one hour before the event.Meet George Dandelion. He could possibly be a Parson Russell Terrier; his dashing good looks, courage, smarts, and feisty, energetic behavior fit the breed's description. He plays well with small and large dogs and loves to follow his foster mom around. He sleeps through the night only getting up once to use a potty pad. George is close to being housebroken and taught himself how to use the doggy door. He is very curious and busy and would thrive in an active environment. He rarely stops moving. He chases after a ball and loves playing with all of his toys. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 7 Age: 0yrs 0mths 10wks

Claire is a sweet Heeler-terrier mix, with a heart full of love. She is shy around new people and dogs, but once she feels safe, she opens up beautifully and blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion.  Claire is a smart girl who already walks well on leash and is food motivated, ready to learn lots more! She's excitable and is learning to settle nicely in her wonderful foster home for plenty of cuddles. She does extremely well with mental stimulation, routine and regular activity. Her new home should be patient and ready to continue her training. With time, she will be a wonderful companion in an adult-only home to go on hikes, play fetch, and play with other dogs! Claire is full of beans and ready for a forever home that will include her in all their activities and adventures. If that sounds like you, apply today to meet her!

Story
Meet Otis 🐶 Otis is a mellow, low-energy guy with a gentle soul who truly enjoys the quieter side of life. He’s the kind of dog who will lean in for affection and happily soak up love from his people. Otis would do best in a home with dog-savvy children ages 13+ who can respect his boundaries and understand his communication. Otis can be selective with other dogs and prefers slow, thoughtful introductions, so he’d thrive with an adopter willing to manage his social circle carefully. He also resource guards, meaning he’ll need a patient, experienced home that can continue working on management and positive reinforcement. Otis is not a good fit for a home with cats. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who values peace, routine, and understanding, Otis may be the perfect fit for your home. 💛

Story
Tommy is such a cute, yet naughty boy. He is dog friendly and playful. This little boy is adorable and he is a project dog, not one for a busy household as he takes time to trust new people. Once he knows you he is a lover boy - but he is selective and it can take time. Tommy can be wary of strangers and does have some ankle biting in his past....Tommy is better suited for country living away from the random public and well meaning admirers. For more information on Tommy please call 707-459-4900.

Story
Cleo is a one-eyed wonder and has completely forgotten about losing an eye in a dog attack.  Agile and athletic, Cleo is a 12 lb., 2 yr-old Terrier mix and displays Terrier behavior such as loving to play with toys, loving to go for long walks and is inquisitive about anything new in her world. Cleo came from a situation where she was under-socialized and displays fearful behavior. We are working on behavior training and she is becoming much calmer.  Little Cleo is potty trained with regular potty breaks.   Cleo is a one or 2 person dog, and makes friends with new people very slowly. She lives OK with a companion dog, and an ocassiional dog visitor, but we think she would prefer to be an only dog in her future home. Due to her young age and training, Cleo will age into a proper little companion. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Cleo is $300. If you are interested in adopting Cleo, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ December 21, 2025, 3:38 pm
