Story
Rosie is a sweet loving Lady. Specific to her breed, she guards her family and home courageously. LOL. She is playful and energetic and loves her walks and going out with her guardians and experiencing the world. She is crate trained. She is potty trained.. We give her a combination of wet food and dry kibble. She doesn’t drink enough water so the wet food helps her stool be soft and regular. She walks on a leash. She weighs 10 pounds. She tolerates cats and stands her own with larger dogs. Her breed makes her a curious little Lady. She would make the best lap dog. She doesn’t need any other dog in her pack other than her guardian if that’s the case.

Story
🐾 Rusty is a 6-year-old, 20lb, Jack Russell Terrier mix with a huge heart who's looking for his perfect person. He's a loyal "velcro" dog who forms deep bonds and loves being by your side. Once he trusts you, he's incredibly affectionate, cuddly, and devoted.Rusty would thrive in a home with someone who is home most of the time (retired? work from home?). Rusty has separation anxiety and does best with companionship and a consistent routine. He's housebroken (rings a bell to go outside), loves sunbathing, car rides, and joining his person on adventures. He's been to lakes, casinos, breweries, restaurants, hotels, and even doctor's offices, where he does wonderfully. He does well with older, respectful kids, can be around other dogs with slow introductions, is working on leash reactivity, and needs a cat-free home.If you're looking for a smart, loving, and loyal companion who will be your best friend, Rusty may be the perfect match.Trial adoption may be considered. Home check required.

Story
Meet Jost Van Dyke (but you can call him Van!) Breed: Terrier Mix (Likely Dachshund/Rat Terrier / Jack Russell blend)   Age: 10 years young Weight: 18 lbs   Hello there! My full name is Jost Van Dyke, but my foster family just calls me Van. I am a handsome, 10-year-old terrier mix weighing in at a perfectly portable 18 pounds.   If you look into my very sweet eyes, you'll instantly see what a gentle soul I am. I am a total social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with absolutely everyone I meet—humans and other dogs included!   I pride myself on being a very good boy. I already know exactly how to use a doggy door, and I am mostly potty-trained (though I might have a rare accident indoors while I'm adjusting to a new home's routine). I walk wonderfully on a leash and make a great strolling companion. I do get a little nervous during car rides, but with some gentle reassurance from you, I can brave the road. At my core, I am a professional lap dog and a world-class snuggler. My absolute favorite time of day is bedtime, because I love nothing more than burrowing right under the covers to sleep next to my favorite humans all night long.   I should also mention that I am very food-motivated! This is great for training, but because I love my meals so much, I can sometimes challenge other animals for food. For that reason, I sometimes need to be fed separately from any other furry siblings in the home so everyone stays happy and relaxed.   If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and snuggly gentleman to keep your lap warm, I’m your guy. I have a whole lot of love left to give—could it be to you?   www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php #shelterpetlove #adoptdontshop #Vanisyourman       GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Unknown Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee.
