Story
4 yr old, 12 lb JRT Mix NEUTERED MALE for ADOPTION Meet Roger Rabbit! Roger is an exceptionally handsome 4-year-old 12 lb Jack Russel Terrier Mix that came to us from Penninsula Humane Society.     This fun-loving boy is looking for an adult only home who will make him …work work work work work… for things like couch time and treats! Work might sound like a bad word to us humans, but it is very helpful for dogs that need a little help feeling comfortable.     This is what his foster family says about him-   Roger is an affectionate, high energy dog. He loves to give hugs and cuddles, and likes to follow around. He’s potty trained and crate trained but keeping a consistent schedule for him is very helpful because he picks up on things rather quickly.   Although he’s very sweet he’s still cautious and a bit guarded with things like food, bed and couch so giving him treats and belly rubs to make him feel comfortable is highly recommended as well as continuing crating so he understands boundaries and recognizes the crate as a safe space not punishment.   good with other dogs as long as they don’t get too aggressive, a little shy with bigger dogs but he absolutely loves to play. Patience and attentiveness is very much needed with Roger because of the guarding but he’s the most loving fun dog you’ll ever be around.”   with a little elbow grease this dog will be the perfect companion for someone who loves to do active things.   If you are interested in this adorable little fella, please send us an email to beourpet@gmail.com  GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Yes, we think so Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Yes Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Unknown Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 12 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.  Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.   We thank Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services and give a special thanks to volunteer photographers Tanya, Barbara, Kristy, Christine, Teressa and Natalie.  We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  May 30, 2023, 6:18 pm

Story
MEET JEWEL! Jewel landed at a local shelter as a stray, so nothing is known of her past life. She is looking for the best life from now on! She is an energetic terrier mix estimated to be 1 ½ years old and weighs 15 lbs. She shares her foster home with a small dog (28# female). She will do well with a friendly small dog in her new family, but will also thrive in a home where she can shine as an only pet. A cat in the home will be a hard NO for Jewel. Coming out of the shelter, she bonded with her foster mom quickly, but soon learned that her foster dad gives good belly rubs too. She will alert bark when someone comes into the house and will need to meet them a few times before warming up to them. She is happiest when she’s with her people and is a snuggly lap dog. She will occupy herself with toys and chews and is also very treat motivated. She enjoys food puzzles, snuffle mats, etc. She is learning to walk on a leash. She is housetrained and can use a dog door. Because of her small size, a family with older children is recommended. $250 adoption donation includes - spayed rabies dhpp bordatella and chipped. Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
Rocco and Mila are a bonded pair looking for their forever home. After both of their humans passed within months of one other, they entered our rescue. Their foster has only positive things to say about their sweet dispositions and loving relationship to her and each other. They are spayed and neutered, fully vaccinated, and just had dentals and a few extractions each. Now with fresh breath and healed hearts, they’re ready to find their forever homes. If you’ve been looking for a nearly perfect pair of dogs, consider Milo and Rocco. They can’t wait to finally be home! ##1673808##

Story
This nice girl weighs 20 pounds. Based on her teeth, she looks to be in the 3-year old range. She was found as a stray, so we can't adopt her until 5/11, but we will accept applications for her now in case she is not claimed. She is very friendly and has a low-maintenance coat. She seems like a fun dog! $300.00 will help us with the cost of her spay, vaccinations and microchipping. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please visit our website at www.petsnpals.org and complete the online adoption application.

Story
Marley is a good protector very alert &plays well with other dogs she has had two litter already first litter two puppies second litter six puppies we are unable to keep our baby we have had her since she was 3 months old now she is 4 years old, she's trained to go outside to use the bathroom she has some accidents in the house if she's not taking outside to go use the bathroom will come to you by calling her name but she loves to explore she's very very smart and will alert you if someone is around one reason why we love having her around other than that she is quiet and calm and does not like to be in trouble lol. she loves to eat. Her 2nd breed is a little unknown for the most part her mother was a Jack Russell not sure father but loves to go walks and play catch but not sure about bringing you the ball back haven't got that down yet and she also was not leashed much so it's a foreign to her we have always had plenty of space & have protected her also but easy learner
