You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   **Courtesy Post - this dog is not with DPR, but we were asked to help network him to find him an amazing home!**  Meet Sparky! Sparky is a 15 year old Jack Russell who is looking for a loving home where he can live out his golden years. Sadly, his only human recently passed away. He definitely misses his dad, but we are hopeful that we can find Sparky another wonderful home. Sparky is comfortable around wheelchairs and walkers and would be a great choice for another senior human seeking companionship. He has some spunk left and enjoys playing and going for walks, but he is also content to sleep in his bed near his human. He is temporarily living with a family member, but unfortunately Sparky does not like the other dogs in the home and would be much happier being the only dog (like he has always been). Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
