Meet Waffles! This super handsome boy is looking for his forever Velcro person to spend his life with. Waffles is estimated to be four years old and has had a super rough past but that didn't hinder his affection for people. He was found running lose outside and was hit by a car. He suffered broken pelvis and two broken knees. He did have a pin placed in one leg to heal but the injuries were almost a month old so there wasn't much repair to do. His legs work just fine but they are wonky. They don't bend all of the way, but that does not stop him at all! He is looking for someone who is home a lot and wants a dog who just wants to be dotted on 24-7. He sleeps with his foster at night. He is dog and cat friendly and would love a dog brother or sister. Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Chika and Ollie were surrendered due to their parents passing away. These dogs are bonded and have been pampered their whole lives. We would like to find them adopters that will do the same thing. Chika and Ollie are both typical lap dogs. They are great companions and love to cuddle. Ollie is 10 years old and Chika is 8. We would love for them to find a home together. They are really laid back dogs and do not require any exercise but they do love adventures. They used to live on a property with a few acres. Sudden movements or loud noises from little ones might be a bit much for them.They absolutely adore their people, though they can be a little barky with strangers at first. They respond really well to commands and just want to be reassured. Andy and Lloyd are great with dogs of all sizes and have shown respectful curiosity toward both cats and chickens - no bad decisions so far! They love mealtime, get excited for walks, and are doing great with leash training. They’re still working on perfecting their potty routine and occasionally lift a leg indoors, so a bit more training and structure will help. Be warned: their version of playtime is...enthusiastic.
