Max is a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix weighing 23 pounds. He definitely doesn’t act like a 10-year-old. He loves to play fetch and will actually bring the ball back for you to throw again. He loves everyone he meets. He gets along with the other dogs but has not been cat or kid tested. His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations and microchip. Story

Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

5 1/2 years old. Roxy is a great dog. Very loyal and affectionate. She loves to cuddle, be under blankets or laying with someone. She does best with a quiet and calm environment. Yelling, running, or loud noises scare her and give her anxiety. It would be best to not be around toddlers. She loves older kids who know boundaries and LOVES adult humans. Does NOT like other dogs. She hated dog parks and didn’t take well to other dogs in the house. She loves to play fetch with her ball; but you gotta play her game of keep away to get the ball back every time. She is a puppy at heart and very healthy but just requires more peace and quietness than we have. We have two younger dogs and a baby on the way and it isgiving her anxiety and us anxiety not knowing how she will be around a baby. She deserves a peaceful home where she can lounge around and be the center of attention. Absolute lover girl and emotional support animal. She has a huge heart.

Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Sherman. An approx. 5-year-old neutered male JRT mix. Sherman is what we call a low rider due to his short legs, which doesn't stop him from jumping onto the couch to snuggle with his foster mom. Sherman has come a long way in the short time he's been with his foster family, but he is still cautious of new people and wary of men. Sherman was most likely not well socialized and needs someone who will show him patience and love as he continues to come out of his shell. He loves women and would most likely do best in a female only home and because he needs a quieter, slower paced environment, a home with children would not be an ideal situation. Sherman does love other dogs and has fun playing with his foster brother and sisters. He runs around the house wagging his tail, trying to get them to play. He really has a silly side that will come out even more as he learns to trust. He has a very JRT personality and at times tries to be bossy with the other dogs so dogs with a more submissive personality would be a better fit. Someone who has JRT breed experience is important as well. Sherman is crate trained and housebroken. He is fearful of walking on a leash, but we are working on making him more comfortable with it. He rides quietly in the car too. Overall, he is a very sweet, goofy little boy that just needs to find someone who will help him become more confident. Adopters will be given 1 years worth of low dose heart guard to continue treatment. Just one pill once a month! Petey loves to play with other dogs and has lived with cats. He also likes to stream Netflix on the sofa at night, cuddled up to you. Of course Petey is adorable with a personality to match! If you would like to meet Petey, you won't be disappointed. And at only 30 pounds he is a great size for an apartment as long as he gets play time.
