Story
After much deliberation, we have concluded that finding a new family for our loved dog named Milo, this due we are moving out of the country which prevent us from giving him the care and attention he deserves. Milo is a wonderful companion that we adopted from the street two years ago. He is a neutered, vaccinated, 6 years old, and he loves to take small walks during the morning or the evenings. He has brought immense joy and affection into our lives. He is well-trained, responds to commands such sit and stay, and is fully house-trained to never relieve himself indoors. His friendly nature makes him a delightful playmate for both children and adults, making him an ideal family pet. We are looking for a home where he will continue to thrive and be a valued part of the family. We want a home with no other dogs, as he behaves perfectly with people where he is the only dog in the house.

Story
Meet Colby Jack! Colby is a happy 4 year old Jack RussellBoxer mix. Colby adores being with his people especially when he gets lots of cuddles. He leans into your leg when he's getting lovies and shows you his big smile! Colby enjoys hanging out with laid back dogs. He and his foster sister, Elly, enjoy rambling around the backyard finding new things to sniff.  He weighs approximately 35lbs which is a good, manageable size for your lap!. He loves to play with humans but may be a bit too playful for toddlers or younger children. He’s crate trained but it is not his favorite place to be. He walks well on a leash and would make a great hiking or running buddy. Colby spent the first year of his life on a chain and has really blossomed into a very loving dog who craves attention. We think Colby would do best with a family that doesn't live in a congested area with lots of noise and has another dog to play with. He doesn't care for delivery trucks entering his domain or lots of strangers. Colby is very smart but craves attention and stong leadership, He really needs a strong pack leader to help him along his journey. . He passed his professional obedience training with flying colors so he already knows the basics. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Colby is available for adoption at www.dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org         ##1087310##

Story
Heeeeyyy! I’m Rowdy and I am a balllllll dog! I am about a year old and am a fun, bouncy boy. My sister, Piper, and I came to the rescue together in August after our dad died. We were treated successfully for coccidia, but it slowed down our other vetting. I have been “tutored,” and am ready to learn all kinds of new things. Piper is settled into a wonderful loving home, and that is what they want for me now, too. I am up-to-date on my shots, chipped, and ready to roll … and fetch! Yes, fetch! I did go home for a month with some wonderful people, and we learned some things about me. I love my people … so much so that I do not want other dogs in the house. I play well with other dogs, but I do not want to share my people. We went on long hikes, and I thought that was great! I kept up with everyone and was still happy to play when we got home. They say I have lots of energy. I am at Pawsitive Futures now learning to be a REALLY good boy so when I go home, it will be forever. PLEASE NOTE: needs to be an only dog. As always, the rescue folks require that potential adopters have a secure, above-ground, fenced yard for my safety and security. https://www.jackrusselladoptions.org/our-dogs/rowdy/

Story
Hey, You, I think you are awesome! I haven't even met you yet, but I LOVE everyone I meet. I am Oskar Diego. I am about five years old and weigh forty-five pounds.   And while I only have a few teeth in the back of my mouth (just enough to chew delicious treats),  I'm strong and healthy! I have a good solid poop, you humans love that, right?  I am pretty good at walking on a leash. I enjoy spending time on the deck with you; staying inside is cool as long as we are together.  Not that I'm not good on my own; I'm a pretty self-sufficient young man, but I like to be near.  If you work from home or are home often, I will follow you and lie close to you. I want to be close to my people. But if you need to leave for a day, it's ok, I probably will nap all day. I have a good balance of sleep and play throughout the day.   I may take my time getting used to other pets, but I have experience living with other dogs, so I'm sure it's going to be ok. You will need to learn to shower me, because I may be scared of squirting water. And I have a strong personality: if I don't want to do something - you're going to hear about it. So, bring treats. They help to build trust and friendship between us. I am looking for: 1. A home where I can sit on the furniture with you and preferably on you! 2. A family that appreciates all of my kisses and hugs. I give A LOT of them! 3. A family that will be patient as I continue to learn good manners. 4. a family will treat me with respect: don't yell at me (I'm very well-behaved, I don't deserve it) and don't pull or jerk me around (my body - my rules). If you want anything from me - show a treat - I'm very smart, we will figure it out  I am extremely loving and looking to share my love with a family!           An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:  Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           May 9, 2024, 2:33 pm

Story
Cash lives for the short, sweet breaks from shelter life - riding in the backseat of the car, going through the DQ drive-thru for a cup of whipped cream, sitting on a bench in a park together, feeling the sun and the breeze on your faces. Those trips, and the one-on-one time he gets with his favorite humans on our team, are the thread of happiness in Cash's life that keep him going. But, we know it's hard for him to see us say good night and head home at the end of the day, while his "home is the shelter. At 6, Cash Money has been at PAWS for most of his life, FIVE YEARS, except for a brief one-month break in an adoptive home. Cash is one of our longtime front office dogs, and he's also a bit of a self-appointment supervisor, giving us feedback on when we're talking too loudly or coming up short on our treat-feeding duties. He is a little man with a brash, sometimes rough exterior. But, inside, Cash is just a little boy dying to be loved. He has friends, but he wants his own people, his own home. The real deal. The kind of love and acceptance we all crave. Laura, our shelter manager, is Cash's buddy. She writes, "Cash is smart and treat motivated. He's my guardian and he takes his job too seriously, but he will let me do most anything with him because we've established a lot of mutual trust, respect and love. He is such a cuddle bug and is actually so very affectionate. He loves plush toys and is a master of interactive toys and doggie IQ tests. If he is not getting enough attention, he will let you know, trust us. Cash needs an adult home because little ones give him the heebie-jeebies, and he's a bit of a resource guarder, mostly with food. We're working on that. He has some dog friends but can be selective and prefers a low key, quieter canine friend who allows him to do the talking.
