Story
Huckleberry Finn - or Finn as we call him is an adorable low rider looking for his next adventure with you! Our best guess is that he is a 2 year old Jack Russel Terrier / Basset Hound mix. He is approximately 30 pounds and full of LOVE!!  Finn came to SAAP ready to find his furever home but sadly we discovered that he was heartworm positive. So SAAP stepped in to get him the help and healing that he needed. Fin is ready to put all of that behind him and set out on a mission to find his family!  Finn has been good with all the dogs in his foster home. He ignored the resident cat. His favorite place is with his humans! He loves doing rolly polly’s for belly rubs! We are working on potty training. He had been on steroids since he arrived at SAAP for treatment (which heightens the need to drink and urinate) and so we are now working to reinforce the need to potty outside. If you are looking to add to your family, look no further because this little boy is the absolute best! Apply today to meet this cutie patootie!! May 6, 2025, 12:43 pm

Story
Meet this sweet boy Gizmo!  Gizmo is 1.5 years old and may be a little timid at first, but once he warms up, he is incredibly loving and affectionate. He is crate trained and potty trained, gets along well with other dogs, and does great with kids of all ages. Gizmo may take some time to feel comfortable around new people and will usually keep his distance at first, but patience is truly rewarded—he blossoms into a very sweet, loyal companion. He is absolutely worth the wait and will make a wonderful addition to a loving home.December 14, 2025, 5:35 pm

Story
Rolly is fixed and up to date on vaccines. Rolly (pronounced Roll ee) has more white and freckles on his neck and back.   They have been around our grandchildren since day one and have been very good with them. They are potty trained. They will go to the door designated for their potty time and jump on it, or they will come sit in front of you. When you ask if they need to go outside, they jump and act silly. They know outside or potty as the question to go out.  They are crate trained. We say house and they know where to go. We tell them to sit, stay, lay down, pillow, house, eat, no, up, outside, and potty. No real tricks. We will tell them to get it if we want them to get a toy. They play well together with a rope. They play tug o war. Rolly likes the laser pin light and tries to catch it like a cat. Polly likes the rope like toys to chew on.  Rolly loves to be beside you and will stand on his back legs and fall back on or into you and get love and pet.    We don't leave food or water where they can get it, because they will overdo it. No matter how many times you get onto them.    Rolly is timid in every aspect. He jumped at seeing a wheelbarrow while out in the yard. He jumps at noises and quick movements and cowers down. We have to be extra easy with him. When he gets scared, he will cower and tinkle.    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic .We cannot guarantee breed or size when full grown. ##375149##

Story
Pugsley is a sweet, 2-year-old boy weighing in at 16 pounds.  If you are looking for a companion who wants nothing more than to show you how much he loves you, Pugsley is your guy!  While he can be timid when he first meets new people, don't let that fool you.  Give him just a day or two to feel safe, and his true personality shies through.  Once he warms up, he transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy who actually likes to give hugs! He is potty-trained and does good in a crate. Pugsley does well with other dogs! He just needs a slow introduction and a few days to adjust.  Once he settles in, he loves to play.  Note: Loud growling can scare him, so he prefers gentle playmates. Special Consideration: Pugsley is currently working through some fear regarding male figures. He is hesitant around men and may express his fear, though he does not try to bite. After a few days he will let you pet him but won't let you pick him up. He is currently working on this in his foster home, and he woulld thrive with a family willing to continue to be patient and gentle as he learns that he is safe.  Pugsley is a soulful guy with a lot of love to give to the right person who can offer him a little patience and a lot of heart. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. Story
Name:  Daisy Age: Spunky Senior Weight: 14 lbs Adoption Fee: $250.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes, but bossy so she’d be best as an only dog.  Good with cats?  She can be bossy with them so it’s best she doesn’t live with them. She can be around them safely for short visits.    Miss Daisy aka Daisy Dukes or Dukes, is  looking for her forever home.    She’s a spunky senior Rat Terrier with lots of life and  love left to give. Daisy loves people and she’d be a  perfect fit for someone who is retired but still active, or someone who works from home, enjoys daily walks  and would like to have a companion to join them. If  she gets to be a lap dog, even better. In a perfect  world, she’ll be showered with all of the attention and  not have to share it with other pets.    She is crate trained but, in all honesty, she doesn’t  love it. Daisy is fine being left loose in the home when  no one is there but she’s currently crated in her foster  home as she does tend to be a little bossy with the  other dogs at times.    Daisy likes meeting new people and enjoys car rides,  so if you like to go camping or travel around in an RV,  she’d be a great companion for you.    While she is an older girl, you wouldn’t know it by the  way she acts. She’s had a senior blood panel done  (she looks great!), a dental, she’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested  and micro chipped.    Don’t miss out on a wonderful new companion and get  your applications in now.    Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.          November 14, 2024, 10:20 am
