Huckleberry Finn - or Finn as we call him is an adorable low rider looking for his next adventure with you! Our best guess is that he is a 2 year old Jack Russel Terrier / Basset Hound mix. He is approximately 30 pounds and full of LOVE!! Finn came to SAAP ready to find his furever home but sadly we discovered that he was heartworm positive. So SAAP stepped in to get him the help and healing that he needed. Fin is ready to put all of that behind him and set out on a mission to find his family! Finn has been good with all the dogs in his foster home. He ignored the resident cat. His favorite place is with his humans! He loves doing rolly polly’s for belly rubs! We are working on potty training. He had been on steroids since he arrived at SAAP for treatment (which heightens the need to drink and urinate) and so we are now working to reinforce the need to potty outside. Hello everyone, this lovely girl is Eve she was adopted from scpa in 2018 and she’s been a joy to have around. She loves walks, loves to play, is clingy, talkative, smart, and has never shown aggression to children (for context we had her around the time i was in middle school and my siblings were in elementary). However she has shown aggression for other dogs/cats. unfortunately as time passed we simply had schedules that conflicted with taking care of Eve. She needs a lot of care and i would love if we could find someone with a gated backyard, because she loves being outside for long periods of time, and who can have enough time to show her the love she deserves. If you’d think you’re able to give her a new home to cherish please contact me and we can discuss the transferring process. this is a very hard thing to do for us because we love her dearly so i really want to make sure we find a great new owner.

Are you ready to add some fun to your life? HATTIE is here to help. She's a bouncy, playful, sweet little mixed breed girl. Hattie is about 18 months old and fully grown at 30 pounds. Our best guess on breed is some Jack Russell Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog and heaven only knows what else. Hattie has an adorable personality. She's affectionate and outgoing. Hattie is the total package, the only thing she's missing is a tail. We aren't sure where it went but all she has is a little nub. But it's okay, she can still show you how happy she is, tail or no tail! Hattie is best suited to an active home where she will get plenty of exercise. We'd prefer to find her a home with a physically fenced yard. She's great with other dogs and would love to have a playmate. If you'd like to meet Hattie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Hattie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm (weather permitting, watch our Facebook page for updates). Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Rolly is fixed and up to date on vaccines. Rolly (pronounced Roll ee) has more white and freckles on his neck and back. They have been around our grandchildren since day one and have been very good with them. They are potty trained. They will go to the door designated for their potty time and jump on it, or they will come sit in front of you. When you ask if they need to go outside, they jump and act silly. They know outside or potty as the question to go out. They are crate trained. We say house and they know where to go. We tell them to sit, stay, lay down, pillow, house, eat, no, up, outside,and potty. No real tricks. We will tell them to get it if we want them to get a toy. They play well together with a rope. They play tug o war. Rolly likes the laser pin light and tries to catch it like a cat. Polly likes the rope like toys to chew on. Rolly loves to be beside you and will stand on his back legs and fall back on or into you and get love and pet. We don't leave food or water where they can get it, because they will overdo it. No matter how many times you get onto them. Rolly is timid in every aspect. He jumped at seeing a wheelbarrow while out in the yard. He jumps at noises and quick movements and cowers down. We have to be extra easy with him. When he gets scared, he will cower and tinkle. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application.
