She loves people, displaying initial shyness that quickly fades into a warm and affectionate demeanor. Marsha appreciates calm moments, particularly during brushing sessions and belly rubs(she LOVES belly rubs). She interacts well with fellow dogs and would love a dog friend. If you're seeking a companion with a balanced mix of social adaptability and gentle affection, Marsha might be the perfect fit for your home.Marsha approaches dogs gently and gives them space. She loves playing tag with them. She has not met cats, but there is no reason to believe she would not do well. She has not been around kids and is gentle, but she is a little shy, so would do best with dog-savvy older kids.Marsha hangs out in her crate at night and whenever her people are not at home. She has no accidents in the house if she has ready access outside. She will try to alert by nosing the door, but may still have an accident if her cue is missed.Marsha has had limited time walking on a leash, but with more walks and familiarity with her people, she will get better. She is nervous when first getting into the car and may attempt to jump out, but she settles down when moving. With a little time and patience, Marsha will make a wonderful addition to her new family. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.March 27, 2024, 6:02 am

Priscilla5 Months OldSpayed FemaleMeet Priscilla! This young lady can be a little shy at first when meeting new people, but blossoms into a social butterfly after getting to know you. She could benefit from having a quieter-traffic home and a family that can work at her pace as she first settles in. As Priscilla gets more confident, she’ll be sure to show you all her favorite toys! Priscilla could do well with a confident, tolerant dog friend who can help show her the ropes, a dog-savvy cat with a slow introduction, and children! If you think you are a good fit and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
I’m Kandi, a 3-year-old, 18-pound Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. I’m the mom of the “candy” puppies that were adopted this winter. I’ve been waiting to come up and am glad to be at Save A Dog to find my forever home at last! I was with my Southern foster for five months, so she knows me well, and she says I’m loving, precious, and playful. I enjoy playing with squeaky toys and romping with other dogs. I’m active and do great riding in the car but also like to hang out and nap on the couch. I walk well on the leash and get along not only with dogs but also with cats and kids. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp.

Story
If you want to have the time of your life with Timmie, then I hope you have a decent throw because this guy LOVES playing fetch! Timmie is a 4.5 month-old Jack Russell /terrier mix with a lot of LOVE and puppy energy. He is a smart boy and has learned to potty train very quickly here at the shelter. (All dogs need a refresher in potty training when entering a new environment) Timmie came with a buddy named Nellie who he's lived peacefully with here at CAAA. In addition,Timmie is friendly with both two and four legged friends!Timmies' ideal family would be an active home or one with another dog to play with. He is mature for his age but very much still a puppy! He loves cuddles and toys, but fetch is his favorite way to burn off some energy. With a little patience and training this boy will make the perfect companion.Apply today!

Story
Lil Klinger has a name that suites him to a T!  It means “courageous” and he is such a Lil courageous guy indeed.  But to add to this courage, he is also a confident, intelligent boy that has endured the hard times when his human family could struggle no longer and keep him. He was reluctantly surrendered to our rescue and we have delighted in see what a truly beloved boy he is.  This dog would fit in anywhere, anytime, anyway.  Lil Klinger is a 2 year old, 27 pound Jack Russell mix boy that is living in a foster home with two big foster fur brothers that don’t have anything ahead of Lil Klinger.   He can and does run with the best of them. He’s housetrained, loves car rides, happily accompanies his foster dad on his long walks and the active adventures his human dad loves to go on.  This boy, Klinger loves to explore and live life to the fullest with lots of new experiences. He embraces all the new things and enjoys playing with his toys and is ALWAYS ready for playtime.  If you are looking for a couch potatoe then Klinger would qualify only on short term moments.  He is a great and active breed that makes a wonderful family dog that you will spend time with and actively seek the exercise time that he needs.   He would be a wonderful dog for a  young family, young couple or a  young single person that is a runner, an explorer and a dog owner that might even want to do some agility activities together.  Of course Klinger is neutered , UTD on all vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm prevention with a clear fecal and wormings done. we admit we are partial when it comes to Lil Klinger and he is one of the cuter and definitely the nicest small dog you could find or consider to add in your life. Don’t let this one get away!  If you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let’s start this ball rolling for his new forever committed home and family. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 26, 2024, 11:20 pm
