Houdini is a new arrival here at the Shelter. This adorable Jack Russell is estimated to be around 8 years old. He is very sweet and hasn't met a stranger yet. He loves to sit in laps and give kisses. Houdini is pretty lively for an older dog so he is looking for an active family who will take him on fun adventures. He loves long hikes through the forest. Houdini needs a single-family home as he can be quite vocal when he wants something. He met one of our other dogs through the fence and was friendly and seemed happy to meet her. Since we don't have a history on him, we will not place him in a home with young children. Houdini is up to date on all his vaccines and will be neutered before adoption. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

She’s affectionate and doesn’t have a drop of aggression. Jet likes toys and bones and would be great in an home with another dog as a playmate. She lives with a cat now and gets a long fine with him. And those ears! Jet is a quirky funny girl who loves to follow her foster mom from room to room, tail wagging. Jet was taken in by an elderly couple in Mississippi when they found her as a stray but the couple has medical issues making it difficult for them to keep her.. They are heartbroken to say goodbye but Wags has stepped in and promised to find Jet a loving new home of her own. Jet is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Jet is on her way up from Mississippi to the northeast on Friday, November 29, arriving on Saturday. She is ready to make a wonderful and loving family dog. Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. 🌞Sunny Meet Sunny ! A happy-go-lucky Jack Russell Terrier mix. Sunny is absolute doll baby. She is so animated and playful all the time. She loves to chase her tail and toss her toys in the air. She will try to play with anything available, even her food dish becomes a toy after all the food is eaten. Sunny loves playing with other dogs and while her bestie is about her size, she will try and play with anything that moves even the cat that sleeps right next to her crate at night. 💕 Sunny would be wonderful for a family with older children to play with her. She needs an active family who wants a dog to go wherever the family goes. She is a great car rider and loves adventures and meeting new people. 🐾 Sunny is crate trained and pee pad trained.
