Story
💜 Meet Violet! 💜 Violet is a sweet, soulful girl with the softest eyes and the biggest heart. This lovely lady is a bit on the curvy side right now (she’s been enjoying life!), and she has some mild stiffness in her back legs related to early joint changes. Violet still gets around well and enjoys her daily routines—she just benefits from a steady pace, comfy bedding, and support in maintaining a healthy weight. Most days, her comfort can be managed with low-impact exercise and routine care, but adopters should know that if her clinical signs worsen or cannot be comfortably managed, Violet may require an exploratory arthrotomy in the future. With attentive care and lots of love, Violet will thrive as a loyal, gentle companion. She’s happiest relaxing nearby, soaking up affection, and sharing quiet moments with her people. If you’re looking for a calm, loving best friend for cozy days and leisurely strolls, Violet may be the perfect match. 🐾💜 - Around 2 years 3 months old - Currently 26lbs and going down (ideal weight 22-24lbs) - Good with kids, cats and dogs - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.

Story
Meet Drac! THRIVING IN FOSTER! LOVES OTHER PUPS! ROCKSTAR AT DOGGIE DAYCARE!!! Drac is a 40-pound, 9-month-old Jack Russell/hound mix with the cutest ears you’ve ever seen and a personality that’s equal parts playful puppy and tender-hearted love bug! Drac is currently loving life in his fabulous foster home and we are so excited to share all we've learned about him! At first glance, Drac may come off a little shy, but give him a moment (and a treat) and he’ll quickly show you his sweet, affectionate side. Once he trusts you, he’s all in: cuddles, kisses, and loyalty included! This handsome boy is energetic and curious, thriving on interaction and companionship. He absolutely loves playing fetch — balls are his favorite thing in the world — and he’s surprisingly good at bringing them back (most of the time!). Squeaky toys are a close second, and yes… he’s been known to steal a shoe or two! His foster family is able to take food/toys away with no issue. Drac is smart and very treat-motivated, already knowing “sit” and responding well to his name. He’s making great progress with house training and has started associating bells with going outside. As he is still a young man, he'll benefit from continued training, daily exercise and consistency in his new home. A yard for him to enjoy would be a perfect for this lively guy! Drac currently lives with a senior dog and does very well with him! We feel he'd benefit from having a friendly canine companion to help boost his confidence. He will thrive in a home where he can be part of the daily activities. A very capable boy, Drac does well on leash with minimal pulling and rides great in the car! He's ready to join you on all of your adventures! With guidance, structure, and love, Drac is going to be an incredible addition to one lucky family! He does amazing at doggie daycare too! Based on our evaluation, we feel Drac would do best in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. We feel he'd excel in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby! If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our dynamic Drac!

Story
Meet Dino! Dino is a 3-year-old, 13-pound petite Jack Russell Terrier mix with a tender heart and a gentle soul. Unlike the typical high-octane terrier, Dino is a quiet, timid little guy who prefers calm over chaos and patience over commotion. Dino is searching for a quiet, adult-only household where he can feel safe and understood. Not because he is aggressive with children — but because their lively energy would simply overwhelm him. When unsure, Dino’s instinct isn’t to react… it’s to quietly retreat and hide. He would thrive in a patient home that: Has a physical fenced yard to keep him secure Understands that leash walks are still scary for him Will allow him time and space to build confidence Offers calm routines and gentle reassurance Dino has previously lived with other dogs and cats and has done well. In fact, he would truly benefit from a social, confident canine companion to show him the ropes and help him learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. Dino takes time to warm up to new people and environments, and while he seeks affection once comfortable, he does so on his terms. He can appear a little aloof at first, but once he is comfortable he forms an incredibly deep and loyal bond with those he trusts. He enjoys the comfort of sleeping in bed with his people as it makes him feel safe and secure. Dino is the kind of dog who may not rush to greet strangers, but will quietly follow his person from room to room, finding comfort just being near them. Dino doesn’t need excitement. He needs understanding. He needs someone who sees the beauty in a shy heart and is willing to let him bloom at his own pace. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Dino will slowly grow more confident — and the reward will be a devoted little shadow who loves you with his whole heart. If you believe the best relationships are built on trust, gentleness, and time… Dino just might be your perfect match. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2657176##
