Sassy is a 5-year-old spayed female Jack Russell mix, about 11 lbs, who came to her family from a friend and originally from a breeder. She is highly affectionate, gentle, playful and friendly, and she loves to sleep with and cuddle her human. She enjoys fetch, toys, chews, walks, treats and belly rubs, and she is friendly with strangers. She is good living with cats and other dogs, and would probably prefer to be with another dog friend. She is house trained but needs maintenance of that training because of an inconsistent history. She has separation anxiety and can bark or chew when left alone, so she may need training on settling by herself, and would do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard. She pulls on leash, is anxious in the car, and is nervous around loud noises. Sassy has a mild grass allergy, and vaccines are a year behind.

Picket is a sweet, lovable little guy. He weighs in at 34 lbs and is just the right size for walking. He is not high energy but enjoys long walks and then comes home for a nap or a cuddle on the couch. He loves squeaking stuffies and chewing on nylabones. He also loves to play with his foster fur siblings. He would do better with a companion dog. He is not housetrained yet but is starting to get the idea after only 2 days in his foster home. He is taken outside every 2 hours during the day and once during the night. As long as the routine is consistent, he has not had any accidents. He has been crated for up to 2 hours and has done fine. No accidents in his crate and no chewing of his bed. He is still young, so he needs to be supervised and has only chewed on his toys and treats. He is a little shy but is quick to warm up in a calm environment. He gives the best little kisses. He has not been around kids or cats.
