Story
💜 Meet Violet! 💜 Violet is a sweet, soulful girl with the softest eyes and the biggest heart. This lovely lady is a bit on the curvy side right now (she’s been enjoying life!), and she has some mild stiffness in her back legs related to early joint changes. Violet still gets around well and enjoys her daily routines—she just benefits from a steady pace, comfy bedding, and support in maintaining a healthy weight. Most days, her comfort can be managed with low-impact exercise and routine care, but adopters should know that if her clinical signs worsen or cannot be comfortably managed, Violet may require an exploratory arthrotomy in the future. With attentive care and lots of love, Violet will thrive as a loyal, gentle companion. She’s happiest relaxing nearby, soaking up affection, and sharing quiet moments with her people. If you’re looking for a calm, loving best friend for cozy days and leisurely strolls, Violet may be the perfect match. 🐾💜 - Around 2 years old - Currently 28lbs and going down - Good with kids, cats and dogs - Adoption fee: $200 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.

✨ Talking, Tilting & Totally Adorable ✨🐾 Hello everyone! My name is Piper, and I’m a spunky, happy little girl full of the cutest woo-woo’s! I love to “talk,” give adorable head tilts, and make sure you know I’m listening to every word you say. 💕 A little about me: 💕 Almost 6 months old and 33 lbs (likely around 50 lbs when grown) 🐾 Potty & crate trained – pretty impressive for a puppy, right? 🍔 Food motivated – snacks are my love language 🧬 No DNA test yet, but my foster mom swears I’ve got some Husky vibes 🦴 Playtime is my jam, but I also enjoy quiet time with a good chew 🚗 Car rides? YES PLEASE! I love resting my head on your shoulder and watching the world go by 🏥 Up to date on all puppy shots and spayed! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🐶 I adore people, kids, and would LOVE a doggy sibling If you’re looking for a sweet, chatty, fun-loving pup to grow up with, I might just be your girl. 💖 👉 Apply to adopt me here: www.underdogrescueranch.com/adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Jack is a Jack Russell Terrier mix of about 5 years old.  Little Jack is new to our rescue so we are still learning about him, but he is said to be good with men, women and kids; a cuddle-bug, and a tad shy at first, but warms up quickly.  Little Jack seems to do well with other dogs, but is not good with cats. Little Jack is UTD on vaccines and neutered.  He will be microchipped before going to his adoptive home.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 31, 2025, 4:21 pm

Story
**Courtesy Post** Huckie is not a Russell Rescue dog. Please contact his foster mom for more information at 616-359-6321 or safeharborvet4547@gmail.com ** Huckleberries (Huckie) in Wayland, Michigan: Do you love, love LOVE terrier energy? If so, meet Huckleberries (I call him Huckie). He’s an adorable, six and one half year old, scruffy, poofy, action packed, sweet but somewhat troubled Rough-Coated Jack Russel Terrier who is looking for his people. Like most JRT’s, Huckie is a WHOLE vibe packed into a 20 pound body shaped like a furry brick that looks like he always skips leg day. I took Huckie on as a foster project to give him a second chance at life. His mom sadly had to say goodbye as she is undergoing lengthy treatment for cancer and Huckie has some very specific needs. Huckie has made tremendous strides so it is time for him to find a family of his own who will love and cherish him despite (and hopefully even because of) his unique personality. Huckie CAN live with cats and other dogs. He tolerates them and will sometimes play but much prefers people. Huckie is NOT a good choice for small children. Older kids (14+) may be ok as long as they are capable of following long term direction/rules. Huckie was abused with a shock collar when he was younger, so he does have some trauma and issues that come along with that. I can help you understand what his triggers are and help you to help him continue to learn that the things he thinks are scary, really are OK. You must be willing and able to follow positive reinforcement training techniques. He does take a medication for anxiety (generic Clomipramine), one for allergies (well controlled - over the counter generic Cetirizine) and one for urinary leakage (completely controlled - Proin). I can get his adopters these medications at near cost. He could use a dental cleaning but is otherwise healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative and ready to rock and roll! Huckie LOVES to go for walks and car rides. He is excellent in his crate! He is working on becoming 100% reliable with his housetraining with accidents becoming very infrequent and he always keeps his crate clean. He enjoys his version of “swimming” in our pond and has a splash pad that is his favorite. I am looking specifically for a home that understands terriers or other similar high drive, sensitive dogs and who will engage in positive reinforcement training. He loves snuggling, playing tug and knows how to sit, shake, down and spin. Please help save Huckie’s life! I can’t keep him forever. He needs YOU. He is a sweet, misunderstood, special boy with a huge heart. Please text Richelle Smith, DVM at 616-359-6321 if you are interested in this handsome boy or email at safeharborvet4547@gmail.com I am asking a small rehoming fee and a home visit and vet reference are required to adopt Huckie. Huckie is located in Wayland, Michigan and his adopter will need to travel to that area to get him.

Story
Meet Drac! THRIVING IN FOSTER! LOVES OTHER PUPS! Drac is a 30-pound, 7-month-old Jack Russell/hound mix with the cutest ears you’ve ever seen and a personality that’s equal parts playful puppy and tender-hearted love bug! Drac is currently loving life in his fabulous foster home and we are so excited to share all we've learned about him! At first glance, Drac may come off a little shy, but give him a moment (and a treat) and he’ll quickly show you his sweet, affectionate side. Once he trusts you, he’s all in: cuddles, kisses, and loyalty included! This handsome boy is energetic and curious, thriving on interaction and companionship. He absolutely loves playing fetch — balls are his favorite thing in the world — and he’s surprisingly good at bringing them back (most of the time!). Squeaky toys are a close second, and yes… he’s been known to steal a shoe or two! His foster family is able to take food/toys away with no issue. Drac is smart and very treat-motivated, already knowing “sit” and responding well to his name. He’s making great progress with house training and has started associating bells with going outside. As he is still a young man, he'll benefit from continued training, daily exercise and consistency in his new home. A yard for him to enjoy would be a perfect for this lively guy! Drac currently lives with a senior dog and does very well with him! We feel he'd benefit from having a friendly canine companion to help boost his confidence. He will thrive in a home where he can be part of the daily activities. A very capable boy, Drac does well on leash with minimal pulling and rides great in the car! He's ready to join you on all of your adventures! With guidance, structure, and love, Drac is going to be an incredible addition to one lucky family! Based on our evaluation, we feel Drac would do best in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. We feel he'd excel in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby! If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our dynamic Drac!
