Story
Meet Sadie 🌸 Sadie is a gentle, sweet girl who can be a bit reserved when meeting new people, but offer her some yummy treats and she quickly starts to open up. Once she’s comfortable, her loving personality shines through. Sadie is currently a little on the heavier side and is working hard on getting her summer body back, so she’d do great with a family excited to join her on walks, playtime, and a healthy routine. With patience, kindness, and a few tasty snacks, Sadie will make a devoted and endearing companion. - Around 6.5 years old - Currently 53lbs and going down! - Good with cats and dogs - Adoption fee: $100 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Story
💜 Meet Violet! 💜 Violet is a sweet, soulful girl with the softest eyes and the biggest heart. This lovely lady is a bit on the curvy side right now (she’s been enjoying life!), and she has some mild stiffness in her back legs related to early joint changes. Violet still gets around well and enjoys her daily routines—she just benefits from a steady pace, comfy bedding, and support in maintaining a healthy weight. Most days, her comfort can be managed with low-impact exercise and routine care, but adopters should know that if her clinical signs worsen or cannot be comfortably managed, Violet may require an exploratory arthrotomy in the future. With attentive care and lots of love, Violet will thrive as a loyal, gentle companion. She’s happiest relaxing nearby, soaking up affection, and sharing quiet moments with her people. If you’re looking for a calm, loving best friend for cozy days and leisurely strolls, Violet may be the perfect match. 🐾💜 - Around 2 years old - Currently 28lbs and going down - Good with kids, cats and dogs - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Story
Meet Drac! THRIVING IN FOSTER! LOVES OTHER PUPS! ROCKSTAR AT DOGGIE DAYCARE!!! Drac is a 30-pound, 7-month-old Jack Russell/hound mix with the cutest ears you’ve ever seen and a personality that’s equal parts playful puppy and tender-hearted love bug! Drac is currently loving life in his fabulous foster home and we are so excited to share all we've learned about him! At first glance, Drac may come off a little shy, but give him a moment (and a treat) and he’ll quickly show you his sweet, affectionate side. Once he trusts you, he’s all in: cuddles, kisses, and loyalty included! This handsome boy is energetic and curious, thriving on interaction and companionship. He absolutely loves playing fetch — balls are his favorite thing in the world — and he’s surprisingly good at bringing them back (most of the time!). Squeaky toys are a close second, and yes… he’s been known to steal a shoe or two! His foster family is able to take food/toys away with no issue. Drac is smart and very treat-motivated, already knowing “sit” and responding well to his name. He’s making great progress with house training and has started associating bells with going outside. As he is still a young man, he'll benefit from continued training, daily exercise and consistency in his new home. A yard for him to enjoy would be a perfect for this lively guy! Drac currently lives with a senior dog and does very well with him! We feel he'd benefit from having a friendly canine companion to help boost his confidence. He will thrive in a home where he can be part of the daily activities. A very capable boy, Drac does well on leash with minimal pulling and rides great in the car! He's ready to join you on all of your adventures! With guidance, structure, and love, Drac is going to be an incredible addition to one lucky family! Based on our evaluation, we feel Drac would do best in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. We feel he'd excel in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby! If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our dynamic Drac!

Roxi was born Feb 23, 2024. I’ve had her since she was 7 weeks old. Very vibrant, happy, sassy, sweet girl. She loves people especially children. She’s been around a few other dogs around her size and did not really catch her attention. She loves to run and jump. Her favorite things to eat are carrots, apples, bananas, peanut butter and cheese. She’s an aggressive chewer. Love her squeak toys, balls and blankets. She is housetrained and knows basic commands.

Story
Sawyer came from a hoarding situation. He is a bit shy but with the help of our staff and a loving adopter he will make a great addition to any family. He needs to interact with people as he didn't get much interaction in the situation he was in. We are working on leash and potty training. He is 7 years old and fully vetted, heart worm negative and microchipped. He is in need of a loving family to love him so he can show them his love as well. Won't you please consider adding Sawyer as a new family member? He is being fostered in Tennessee, but we transport using the most animal friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
