Story
Hello there! My name is Otis, and I'm so excited to tell you a little bit about myself. I might come off a bit weary at first, but once I warm up to you, I promise to be the most loving and loyal companion you could ever wish for. I absolutely adore playing fetch-it's my favorite game in the whole wide world! There's just something about chasing after that ball and bringing it back that makes me so happy. Plus, I'm pretty good at it if I do say so myself! When I'm not busy playing fetch, you can find me enjoying quiet moments, maybe curled up in the lap of one of my family members, or playing by myself with one of my many favorite toys. I dream of finding a forever home where I can feel safe and loved. Once I know I can open up to you, though, get ready for lots of cuddles, excitement, and tail wags! If you think we might be a good match, please come visit me-I can't wait to meet you and show you just how wonderful life with a shy but loving fetch enthusiast like me can be. Let's make some memories together! *Otis lives with another small dog, kids, and cats! But his absolute favorite things in the world are his foster mom and dad and would do great in a home with or without other pets or kids. Apply now at www.campcompanion.org, adoption fee is $300 plus tax

Story
Hi! I'm Bandit. I'm from Arkansas. Meet Bandit! Bandit is a 5 month old Jack Russell mix. He is about 20 pounds. Bandit is a happy puppy who gets along well with other dogs and kids. Bandit can be shy but opens up well with consistency and love. From his foster: Bandit is a fun-loving pup. He loves his people and will follow you everywhere. Since having Bandit, I'm finding he's relatively reactive to men so a female-dominated home would be best. His favorite spot is at your feet. He is still learning about new things but is gaining confidence with new people and pups. He loves walks and exploring the yard. He will stop when he gets distracted in the yard-turkeys, deer, and loud birds. Treats are the trick. He sleeps all night in his crate with the door open. He's working at being in his crate when we are gone. He loves to play with one of our dogs but quickly picked up on our older dog's disinterest. He is still working on house training, a schedule works great. He is a very sweet lovable pup, we so enjoy having him here.

Story
I truly love Buddy. As a veteran with PTSD, he's helped immeasurably with my ability to cope during times of regression. He loves with all of his heart. It honestly breaks my heart having to write this but we have a 7-month old in the house and he's scared and tends to show aggression when startled. We have to give him up due to a newborn in our home. He has nipped at younger children when they approach and probably has a history of being treated poorly. He was found abandoned in a Costco parking lot over 6 years ago. He has a lot of anxiety and is best in a home with one or two people. He will attach himself to one person and be very protective of that person. He is not getting the attention he wants right now as we focus on our baby. He loves to go for walks and play with his ball. We will truly miss him. I recommend someone who has experience with high anxiety dogs and someone who either lives alone or with a partner. He loves to cuddle and sleep underneath the sheets.

Story
Helloooo world!  My name is Betty and I am a playful, uncoordinated little fluffer of a dog!  I gallop when I run, I take flying leaps into your chest for snuggles, and I rub my face on the floor when I play with my toys. Speaking of toys, do you have any?  Because I love them all!  My foster mama is teaching me fetch and I think that’s the BEST.  Have you played that before?  So.Fun!  But give me any toy and I will jump for joy! My foster mom says I’m still working on my leash manners because I “sniff and stroll”, whatever that means.   I guess lollygagging is not part of her plan and I want to smell everything!  Apparently no one told her to live in the moment and smell the roses.  Because THAT is what I’m doing!  I’m also smelling the tree…and the sticks…every rock…that leaf in the wind…ooo look a butterfly!  I really like it when she takes me for car rides.  My ears flap in the wind and that makes me so happy!  PS:  I also like to sniff the air.  So fresh! I overhear my foster mom telling people how smart I am.  I put my tiny feet on the door to signal you I need to go outside.  I try to get up on the furniture, but I’ve been told NO (insert eye roll here) so I’ve learned that word very quickly.  And I now know that I need to sit like a good girl when it’s time to put on my leash. A few other nuggets on Betty: Prey Drive:  Betty seems uninterested in small critters during her “sniff and stroll” time, but not has been cat tested. Is Betty vocal?  Yes.  She alerts to new people quite a bit, although she warms quickly. Kennel Training:  Betty is kenneled during the workday but does not sleep in her kennel. Other Dogs:  Betty does great with other dogs!  To date she has only been exposed to dogs her own size. Children:  Due to Betty's energy level, it is recommended Betty be placed in a home with older children. She can be hesitant of new people  and slow to warm up, but with a bit of patience (and treats!) she comes around. Betty has brought a lot of joy to her foster home with her happy personality and goofy character.  She is very playful and would make a wonderful addition to any family!   ##2077140##

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  Meet Nora! Hey there, I’m Nora, and I’m the perfect blend of sweet and silly! Whether it’s cuddling up with you on the couch, playing a game of fetch, or running around with a stuffed toy, I’m your girl. I make fast friends with everyone I meet—young or old, human or canine. If you’ve got belly scratches or playtime to offer, I’m all in! I absolutely love companionship, so I’d be happiest in a home where my person can spend time with me throughout the day. Having another pup to run and wrestle with would be a dream come true! While I love romping around outside, I’m still figuring out how to make the outdoors my primary potty spot. I’ll need a patient caregiver who can help me with this training. I’ve come to learn that my crate is a cozy place to sleep at night, but I wouldn’t mind snuggling up in bed with you either. One look into my loving eyes, and I’m sure you’ll be smitten. I can’t wait to meet you and become your new best friend! Love, Nora All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2085325##
