Yuki turned seven years old on July 29th. Yuki passed basic obedience- she has a certificate to prove it. Yuki also passed reactive rovers as she is leash reactive meaning she will bark at other dogs on leash. Yuki can be selective with other dogs- she prefers dogs that respect her space and are more calm and less playful. Yuki loves humans so so much including children. She also loves the outdoors. Yuki can blood track deer - not professionally but she has located our deer a couple of years and weve trained her. She’s also sniffed out a few pheasants in her short pheasant hunting experience. She’s been camping many times and is a fearless girl- she’s slept outside in black bear territory up north! Yuki might be considered elderly but she has plenty of energy still left in her bones. With daily costs increasing and recently having a newborn I no longer have the time or finances to afford two dogs and a baby.

Hi, my name is Neuf and I'm from Minnesota. From his foster: Neuf is a happy, spunky, energetic guy who loves squeaky toys, playing with other dogs, and zooming around the yard. He’s very smart and highly food-motivated, making him responsive to training and eager to learn. Neuf has completed professional training and continues to make impressive progress with structure and consistency. One of Neuf’s biggest accomplishments has been his leash walking. When he first arrived in foster care, he struggled to make it around the block without becoming overstimulated. Today, he happily enjoys 2–3 mile walks and continues to improve every week. He still benefits from clear guidance and consistency, but he has shown just how capable he is of learning new skills. Neuf does great in his crate overnight and is fully potty trained, going right away when let out. He enjoys being close to his people and loves to relax after a day of activity. Neuf can be vocal when he hears unfamiliar sounds or meets new people, but he has made tremendous progress in these areas as well. While he may still bark occasionally, he is much calmer than when he first entered foster care and recovers more quickly from exciting situations. With calm, patient introductions, he becomes friendly, affectionate, and eager for attention. To help him continue building confidence and good coping skills, Neuf currently takes anti-anxiety medication under veterinary supervision. This has been a helpful part of his training and behavior plan, and his adopters should be comfortable continuing to work with their veterinarian to determine what support is best for him in the future. Neuf is very playful and may become mouthy during moments of excitement or greetings. This is not aggressive behavior, but he will benefit from continued reinforcement of appropriate play skills. Because of his enthusiasm and energy level, he would do best with adults or older children who understand dog boundaries. Neuf is good with other dogs but has been known to chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. Neuf has come a long way and continues to show what a resilient, loving dog he is. He is looking for an adopter who will appreciate his intelligence, celebrate his progress, and continue helping him grow. In return, you'll get a loyal companion with plenty of personality, affection, tail wags, and snuggles to share. Neuf has completed a Stay and Learn program with Happy Dog Lodge in Cambridge, MN, to work on his on his reactivity. This program will provide continued email and phone support to Neuf's adopter.
