Story
Snapshot of Stardust: Size? Small Activity Level? Very active with periods of rest and naps Noise Level? I'm generally quiet, but I do bark to get your attention sometimes! Good with Dogs? Yes, I love playing! Good with Cats? Yep! Good with Kids? I currently live with a VERY dog savvy 3 and 6 year old and do well! But I can get mouthy so I may be better suited for older kids if they aren't used to being around dogs. Good with Strangers? Mostly! I prefer women over men but I warm up fast with treats and gentle interactions. Potty Trained? Working on it! Crate Trained? Yes, but it takes a little effort to get her into the crate at first! Shedding? Minimal Stardust is a small, athletic mixed-breed girl with a beautiful white-and-tan coat and a personality that shines just as brightly as her name. If you're looking for a dog who loves to play and stay active, Stardust is ready to be your adventure buddy! Her favorite thing in the world is other dogs. She loves wrestling, playing chase, and joining in on just about any game that helps her burn off energy. A home with a playful canine companion would be a dream come true for this social butterfly. Stardust can be a little cautious around new men and tends to bond more quickly with women, but she has made great progress with the men in her foster home and continues to gain confidence every day. Once she trusts you, she absolutely loves attention, affection, and treats from her people. This smart girl is eager to learn and would thrive with a family who enjoys training and spending time together. She would love to learn new commands, go on daily walks, and continue building her confidence through positive experiences. Like many young, playful dogs, Stardust can get a little mouthy when she's excited and wants to play. Because of this, we think she'd do best in a home with older children, no children, or a family that can closely supervise interactions with younger kids while continuing to teach appropriate play manners. That said, she has done very well with the 6- and 3-year-old children in her foster home and mostly chooses to do her own thing around them. Stardust isn't a huge fan of going into her crate, but once she's settled in, she's generally quiet through the night until morning when she's ready for a potty break and breakfast. She's also making steady progress with her potty training and does best when she has a consistent routine. From my foster: Stardust thrives on running around, exercising, playing. She has a TON of energy. Stardust also still struggles with distance training, as well as I need to break her habit of chasing cars and motorcycles, so at this time she may do much better with a fenced yard or a home where she is monitored outside. Stardust is now potty trained and crate trained. She is motivated by pieces of hot dog. She absolutely loves ice cubes with blueberries in them. Her favorite chew is bully sticks. She has to be monitored with toys because she will gobble the entire thing up piece by piece, same as going on walks. The girl loves to eat mulch. So ya gotta keep an eye on her. We are working on "leave it" command. She has also learned how to sit, but won't do it if people are around that she's unfamiliar with. I taught her to fetch and "drop it" but sometimes she gets excited and drop it and picks it right back up 🤣. She loves her rope toy that we play fetch and tug of war with. If you're looking for a clever, active, loving dog who will keep you smiling and always be ready for the next adventure, Stardust might just be the perfect match. Come meet this sparkling girl and see if she's the missing star in your family! Stardust is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations appropriate for her age. Earl is a sweet, little puppy who's looking for a place to call his own. Whether he's chasing toys, playing with his dog friends, or soaking up attention from his people, Earl approaches life with a wagging tail and an eager-to-please attitude. One of Earl's favorite things is playing with other dogs, and he'd love a home with a canine companion or plenty of opportunities for playdates. He's also been around cats and has done well with them. While he hasn't met kids yet, he's still a young puppy, and with proper socialization and positive introductions, he should do well in a family with children. Like all puppies, Earl is looking for a family that's committed to helping him learn the ropes. He'll need continued training, consistency, patience, and socialization as he grows into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. Earl is a smart little guy who's eager to learn, and with a little guidance, he's sure to thrive. If you're searching for a playful, affectionate puppy who's ready to become your best friend, Earl is excited to meet you and start making memories together! ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!           If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate sidekick who’s always up for fun, Shoelace may be your perfect match! This young mixed-breed girl is an absolute delight with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that makes every day more fun. Shoelace loves everyone she meets and is eager to please her people. Whether she’s chasing toys around the yard, chewing on a favorite bone, or curling up for snuggles after a day of adventure, she’s happiest simply spending time with her family. Her favorite place to be is outside, soaking up everything a Minnesota summer has to offer! Because she’s still working on her leash skills, a securely fenced yard is needed, or a commitment to continue her leash skills, so she can safely run, play, and burn off her puppy energy. Shoelace is potty trained, crate trained, and does wonderfully with other dog-friendly dogs. While she’d certainly enjoy having a canine friend, she doesn’t require one if her people are home most of the time and can give her plenty of love and attention. Loyal, playful, and endlessly sweet, Shoelace is ready to become someone’s very best friend. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who will keep you smiling and then happily snuggle up beside you at the end of the day, Shoelace can’t wait to meet you!   I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Ideally my forever home would need to be home during the day to help me with my potty training and not leave me for breaks longer than 3 - 4 hours. If you are looking for a best friend, please fill out the puppy application. The more info you include on the application the better so I can find a good match for my forever home. Get your toy box ready! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
I need a temp foster from September 3-9. (I'm available for adoption too!) Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help! A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by The Wilbur Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $250.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Neuf and I'm from Minnesota. From his foster: Neuf is a happy, spunky, energetic guy who loves squeaky toys, playing with other dogs, and zooming around the yard. He’s very smart and highly food-motivated, making him responsive to training and eager to learn. Neuf has completed professional training and continues to make impressive progress with structure and consistency. One of Neuf’s biggest accomplishments has been his leash walking. When he first arrived in foster care, he struggled to make it around the block without becoming overstimulated. Today, he happily enjoys 2–3 mile walks and continues to improve every week. He still benefits from clear guidance and consistency, but he has shown just how capable he is of learning new skills. Neuf does great in his crate overnight and is fully potty trained, going right away when let out. He enjoys being close to his people and loves to relax after a day of activity. Neuf can be vocal when he hears unfamiliar sounds or meets new people, but he has made tremendous progress in these areas as well. While he may still bark occasionally, he is much calmer than when he first entered foster care and recovers more quickly from exciting situations. With calm, patient introductions, he becomes friendly, affectionate, and eager for attention. To help him continue building confidence and good coping skills, Neuf currently takes anti-anxiety medication under veterinary supervision. This has been a helpful part of his training and behavior plan, and his adopters should be comfortable continuing to work with their veterinarian to determine what support is best for him in the future. Neuf is very playful and may become mouthy during moments of excitement or greetings. This is not aggressive behavior, but he will benefit from continued reinforcement of appropriate play skills. Because of his enthusiasm and energy level, he would do best with adults or older children who understand dog boundaries. Neuf is good with other dogs but has been known to chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. Neuf has come a long way and continues to show what a resilient, loving dog he is. He is looking for an adopter who will appreciate his intelligence, celebrate his progress, and continue helping him grow. In return, you'll get a loyal companion with plenty of personality, affection, tail wags, and snuggles to share. Neuf has completed a Stay and Learn program with Happy Dog Lodge in Cambridge, MN, to work on his on his reactivity. This program will provide continued email and phone support to Neuf's adopter.

Hi! My name is Weasel! Weasel can be a little shy at first, mostly with men. He is a great snugller and gets along with everyone young old, big or small, four legs or two. He loves chew toys but will steal a tasty shoe if left alone. He prefers to not be kenneled, but will nap quietly when his humans are away. He sleeps with us all night and is good all night. He does not bark a lot but does while playing and if his favorite neighbors are walking by. Potty training is ongoing. He loves having a playmate but would be fine as the only dog with a lot of walks.

Story
💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Spike & Houles in Stillwater on Sunday, 8/9 from 12-2pm! 💚 Age: Estimated DOB 6/16/2026 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: No, just a puppy Crate trained: No, just a puppy Fluff isn't your typical s'mores ingredient, just like this sweet girl isn't your typical pup. She's hard of hearing and possibly deaf, but that certainly hasn't stopped her from having a good time. We've noticed that Fluff is likely deaf or very hard of hearing, something our veterinarian agrees with, although she has not had an official hearing diagnosis. She may experience the world a little differently than her siblings, but she doesn't seem particularly concerned about that. She loves to play, is especially interested in our big resident dogs, and is still plenty vocal when she's having fun. She also tends to sleep longer than her siblings, but once she's awake, she's ready to jump right back into the action. Like all of her siblings, Fluff is wonderful with kids and other dogs, but she's also a typical puppy who hasn't had formal training yet. Her future family should expect plenty of chewing, exploring, playful nibbles, and puppy antics while she learns how to be a very good dog. Based on her appearance, our best guess is that Fluff is a Terrier mix, potentially with Jack Russell Terrier, Fox Terrier, or Dachshund in the mix. Breed identification is only our best guess, and we expect her to be small to medium sized when fully grown. Fluff's future family will need to be comfortable teaching her through visual cues, touch and other communication methods rather than relying on verbal commands. Her deafness doesn't mean she can't learn, it just means her people will need to be a little more creative and intentional about how they communicate with her. If you're ready to give this special girl the patience and understanding she needs, apply to adopt Fluff and give her a forever family where she can keep doing what she does best: having a really good time. ❤️ Adoption Fee: $625
