Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 11, 2025, 10:23 pm

Story
When you love the Jack Russell breed of dog then you try to find that pure love to adopt.  Well Clyde is a very sweet dog but yet he is the shy type that will be oh so loving of a boy that will make you feel like you the most special person in the world.  He is just a year old and 17 pounds and he loves to play with toys that squeak and crunch. He is an active Jack Russell breed that needs a fenced in yard so he can run around and play with others safely. When it comes to cuddles….we all love that with our dogs, Clyde gives you the best cuddles that results when you “sit” he wants to be in your lap.  We will admit that he is not totally house trained and so that is a work in progress. He is crate trained as long as not being left for long hours cause of his age.   He walks on a leash as amateur but worked with it. He loves to go for long walks and see new things.   When it comes to feeling secure with a family, he is Ok with children who are respectable and who want to give him gentle and loving hugs. The Jack Russell breed is an active and vibrant one of colorful moods and playful antics.  They can be loving and snuggly and then zooming around the backyard with the energy that you wish you still had in your body.  They are invigorating and challenging to kind of up your anty so to speak.  They can help  you be more determined every day to be more focused and productive.   We love the active dogs that bring a zest to the pace of life and an intelligence that will keep you thinking great thoughts and making great strides in life.  If you are interested in Clyde the Slyde… please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live and a little more about yourself and why a JRT like Clyde is right up your alley!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 14, 2025, 8:28 pm

Story
Say hello to Chloe!    This happy little lady is turning 3 years old on October 25th, and she’s ready to celebrate in a forever home! Chloe is a fun and lovable mix of Chihuahua and Teddy Roosevelt Terrier (yep, it’s a real breed—Google them for some serious cuteness). Picture a sturdy little pup with adorable big ears and a whole lot of personality.   Chloe weighs in at a perfect 18 pounds and is the total package: housebroken, crate trained, heartworm negative, and walks like a pro on a leash and harness. She was surrendered by her previous owner, who took great care of her but sadly couldn’t keep her due to life changes.   She gets along well with dogs her size or bigger, loves kids, and is always up for a cuddle or a belly rub. Chloe’s affectionate, easygoing, and just wants to be someone’s best friend.   If you’re looking for a sweet, happy companion who’s ready to bring love and joy into your life, Chloe’s your girl!   Reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at cccrtennessee@gmail.com ttoapply to adopt her or answer questions!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 22, 2025, 12:06 pm

Story
Loki is a special boy who suffers from anxiety. He is fearful of loud noises and new things. Loki is looking for a calm environment where he can be the only dog. He loves to play with his toys and enjoys playing outside. He is house and crate trained. He would do best with older children. He likes to go for walks, but does get nervous when he sees other dogs. Loki is looking for his special place where someone can love him and give him a chance. Loki is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting one of our dogs, please visit our website and fill out an application: www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Story
Meet Buddy!!Buddy thrives on physical activity and mental stimulation, making him an ideal companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures. Regular walks, play sessions, and engaging games like fetch or agility training will help keep him happy and well-adjusted. Socialization is also crucial for Buddy; introducing him to a variety of people, pets, and environments will help him build confidence and reduce any anxiety that may stem from his past experiences. Because of he has had biting incidents (due mainly to resource guarding w toys), it's essential that Buddy is placed in a home where he can receive consistent training and positive reinforcement. Basic obedience commands will not only strengthen the bond between him and his owner but also ensure he behaves well in different situations. A dedicated owner who understands his needs and is willing to invest time in training will help Buddy become the well-rounded dog he has the potential to be. A fenced yard is a must for Buddy (not chain link) Overall, Buddy is ready to bring joy and companionship to an active family or individual who can provide him with the love and care he deserves. With the right environment and support, he can flourish and become a beloved member of the household. Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
