Story
Meet Pickles a sweet young girl who we think is a Jack Russell Mix. Weighing in at 19 pounds she is working on gaining weight as she did have every rib in her body showing. She is great with other dogs and cats. She does resource guard her food as she was near starvation when we got her She is full of fun and energy and looking for someone to go hike the mountains with. If you could be that person, please continue to read and fill out our on line application RECOMMENDATIONS & PROCEDURES Please note, the following are recommendations for puppies and different breeds of dogs. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. ( we are in Cleveland County NC) Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Story
Oh how Chase is just the most adorable Jack Russel/ Chihuaha mix! This love bug is 2yrs old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chase is a very sweet boy and dog friendly. He would do better with dogs bigger than him. He loves to play with his foster buddy who's a Golden Retriever! Because he can play rough (typical Jack Russel) other little dogs might not like his play style. Chase is true to the Jack Russel breed with having a lot of energy. But once he gets some exercise he settles right down. We will require a fenced in yard for Chase so he can run around. Also, if you're a walker, that's a great way to get a dogs enery out! If you think this sweet boy would be a great fit for your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org ##1744393##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My name is Shaq I was found as a stray but I was wearing my collar and tag and even though they called and confirmed the information the lady swore I. Wasn't hers so my new foster mommy said she will take care of me until I find a great new hiomeI am not a typical Jack Russell, I'm calm, I don't bark hardly ever, I love kids, cats and other dogs but I don't chase them I just want to be friends or snuggle with them. I'm neutered and have all my vaccines so I'm all ready for my new adventure and new home, hope I find one sooni would love a forever couch to be mine.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.For more information and to submit an application, got to www.arrfnc.com. Story
Rosie is a sweet little bundle of energy. She loves attention and welcomes all the belly rubs and love she can get.  She will be your little shadow. Rosie was very underweight when she was surrendered, but her Foster Mom got her up to healthy weight of 9 pounds. Rosie does have Lyme disease and is on medication for about 2 more weeks.  She limps when she walks & runs, but she is still fast.  Vet said her hind leg may have been broken and didn't heal correctly.  She loves to chase squirrels. She does require a fenced in yard as she is an escape artist through the smallest of holes. She is not leash trained, but we are working on that. She is mostly house broken but she has had a couple accidents inside. She is not crate trained and really doesn't like being in a crate. Good with older children, not toddlers.  She is very active. Would do well with another dog her size to play with. Rosie is a little love bug and looking to please. She will make a wonderful addition to a loving home!
