Story
"STITCH" a PINCHER/ JACK RUSSELL MIX, aprox 7 months old, who weighs barely 5kg. or 11 pounds. Anastasia noticed this little guy in an open garage, who's owner had every intention of letting him roam free-and even worse; un-neutered to get in all sorts of trouble. Anastasia approached the owner and convinced him to let her take the little dog with her. She named him "STITCH". "STITCH" is now a SPFG picture of health; fully vetted, vaccinated microchipped and soon to be neutered. He is also housebroken and leash trained. "STITCH" is a jovial boy, very friendly and playful with people and animals. He is energetic, curious, clever and sometimes a little mischievous, though food oriented and easily trained. But above all, he is affectionate, warm and cuddly. "STITCH" would be happy in any type of family. Story
My name is Lucas, and I’m a 4-year-old male Jack Russell Terrier × Welsh mix weighing around 10kg. I have a compact, sturdy body — but my short little legs are what everyone notices first. People often say I look extra adorable when I walk, and I think it’s because every step I take naturally makes people smile. 😊 For a long time, I lived in a shelter. I was rescued just before euthanasia, and since then I’ve been given a second chance at life. Now I’m staying in a training facility where I’m slowly learning what the world is like outside the shelter. Everything still feels new to me — other dogs playing freely, interesting smells on walks, toys, and especially kind human attention. It’s almost like I’m finally experiencing what it means to just be a dog. Because I’m discovering so much for the first time, I get very curious about everything around me. But there are also things I still need help understanding. Sometimes, if a hand suddenly reaches over my head or someone touches me unexpectedly, I can get scared and react defensively. In those moments, it may look like I’m trying to bite, but it’s really just fear — a way for me to protect myself when I feel unsure. When people take time to approach me gently, that behavior becomes much less, and my true personality starts to show. Because deep down… I’m actually a very sweet and affectionate boy. 💛 I just need time. What I need most is not quick bonding, but patience and understanding. If you let me come to you at my own pace instead of forcing touch or rushing interactions, I will slowly begin to trust you. It helps a lot when people approach me from the side or below rather than reaching over my head, and when they use calm voices and positive experiences to help me feel safe. Once I trust someone, I become a completely different dog — I love attention, I follow my person around, and I show a very affectionate and playful side. I also need time to adjust because I haven’t really experienced normal home life before. A house, daily routines, leash walking in neighborhoods, being alone for short periods, and house training — all of these are still new to me. At first, I may feel nervous or make mistakes, but that’s not bad behavior. It’s just me learning how to live in a home. What helps me grow is guidance, not punishment. With a stable routine, regular walks, and positive reinforcement, I can gradually build confidence and feel more secure. I’m smart and curious, and with the right support, I learn step by step at my own pace. In the beginning, it’s really important for me to have a calm environment and not too much overwhelming stimulation. If I’m given space and time to feel safe, I will slowly open my heart. And when I do, I will stay by your side with all my loyalty and love. I may not be the easiest dog at first, but I promise I have a heart that is ready to love deeply once I feel safe. I’m Lucas — a small dog with short legs, a long journey behind me, and a big hope for a forever family who will understand me and walk with me at my own pace. 🐾 Lucas

Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Pori Age: About 6 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier Mix Color: White Weight: 12kg / 26.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was just a tiny puppy, about two months old, back in 2020 when I, along with my fivesiblings, was left at a shelter because our previous owner couldn’t take care of us. Thanks to the kind people who rescued us, I was given a second chance at life. Now, I’m ready to start a new chapter of my life and find a loving forever home where I can be safe, happy, and part of a family.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Spayed • Atopic Dermatitis    MY PERSONALITY  Hello, my name is Pori! I am a small and adorable terrier with a gentle, shy nature. I may be timid, but I have a big heart, and I am friendly with people and even allow new friends to pet me! With time and patience, and of course love, I know that I will bloom and be the best friend you’re looking for!     MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I may be a little shy at first, but I can be pet and be held in your arms with a little bit of time, after we become friends!   · With Dogs: I say hello to dog friends, but I enjoy my personal space. However, I rely on my friends for comfort and support, and I am more relaxed with a friend around! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown (Cat test can be requested to ensure the best fit)   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have moderate energy level – I like to be outside for my playtime and like to rest inside afterwards, all snuggled up! I’m not too familiar with walks, and may lie down if I get scared, so quiet walking paths are best. I can pull on the leash sometimes, but I usually follow my handler well.    TRAINING & HABITS  I don’t guard my food from people or dogs. I may bark at strangers, but with time and gentle introduction, I can warm up to new people. I am calm when I am in the kennel, but I am not too familiar with cars, and will need assistance getting in and out of the car.  I’m comfortable going to the bathroom both on indoor pads and outside.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A dog friend that I can rely on for support and guidance    SPECIAL NOTES  I may need a few days to adapt to the new environment, but with your gentle guidance and love, I know that I have the potential to be the best friend and the family member you’re looking for!    Pori's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2646751##

Story
My name is Pluto, and I’m a 2-year-old female Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing around 13kg — a perfect medium size to share everyday life with you. I’m not too small, not too big, just the right size for walks, travel, and being your daily companion. People often notice my bright, cute presence and the soft, loving look in my eyes. I may look a little shy at first, but there’s a warm and affectionate heart behind it. 💛 I was rescued just before euthanasia at a shelter. Even though I went through a difficult and uncertain time, I didn’t lose my trust in people. In fact, I still really like humans and enjoy attention and gentle affection. I also get along well with other dogs, so I can comfortably live in homes with or without other canine friends. When I first meet someone, I might seem a little quiet and reserved. I tend to observe from a short distance and take my time to understand my surroundings. But this doesn’t last long. If you speak to me gently and give me space to feel safe, I slowly come closer on my own. And once I decide you are someone I can trust… my true personality comes out. Then I become a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close, following my person around, and happily showing how excited I am to see you. 🐶✨ However, I’m still learning what “home life” means. Most of my past life was spent in a shelter, so things like living inside a house, daily routines, TV sounds, neighborhood walks, house rules, being alone for short periods, and potty training are all still new to me. Because of that, when I first arrive in a new home, I may feel unsure, nervous, or make small mistakes while I adjust. But these are not problems. They are simply part of learning how to live in a family. What I need most is patience, not pressure. If you kindly teach me step by step — potty routines, leash manners, house rules, and how to feel safe with people — I will learn and improve over time. I respond especially well to praise, encouragement, and calm guidance. When I feel safe, I really try my best to understand and grow. In the beginning, it helps me a lot if I have a quiet, safe space where I can relax and slowly get used to my new environment. A steady routine, regular walks, and a gentle approach will help me build confidence and trust. I’m not a difficult dog — I’m just a girl who hasn’t had the chance to learn yet. With the right family, I believe I can blossom into a very loving, loyal, and joyful companion. I may have started my life at a hard place, but I’m hoping my story ends with warmth, safety, and love. I’m Pluto, and I’m waiting for the family who will give me that forever home — the one I can finally call my own. 🐾
