I acquired him from two baseball players in college. They realized that they do not have a lot of time for him. He is a wonderful dog and very playful. He would be great with someone who has dogs his size to play with, a yard to run around, or older kids to play with. He would also be a great outdoor dog or I could see him going on runs or hikes. He has his rabies shot and is neutered. He is about 9 months old and about 2 ft tall. I truly want to find him a home where he will be happy and have kids/dogs to play with. He is a smart dog that can fetch, sit, shake, and is house trained. He stays in his crate at night. I have him in a crate while I’m at work.

Hi, I’m Boston Cream, an eight-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a tiny body. I’m about four months old, and I’ve already proven I’m a sweet, curious, and confident little guy. I love playing with my toys, seeking attention from my people, and showing off my affectionate side. I get along well with kids and enjoy being part of the action. I can be a little shy at first and may need a bit more socialization, but give me just a couple of minutes and I come right out of my shell ready to play. I’m gentle, well behaved, and eager to learn, though I could use some leash training. I’m still figuring out how I feel about other dogs and cats, but with patience and love, I’m sure to grow into the perfect companion.

Goose was recently taken in by a family, but they didn't understand his energy level and exercise needs. We're now helping them find the right person for him. Goose is nine months old and 38 lbs. as of March 2, 2026. Goose is a loving, energetic Jack Russell Terrier mix who deserves a home where he has space to run, play, and truly thrive. He is potty trained and knows sit, shake, and fetch. He’s incredibly smart and eager to engage. He would do best in an active home where he can get plenty of attention and structure. He's good with other dogs and older kids, but still jumps so small children may not be a great fit. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and heartworm negative. Meet Bunny and look at her precious ears! Bunny is a sweet Chihuahua mix, appropriately 1-2 years old, around 12 pounds, housebroken and crate trained. Bunny is good with other dogs, loves people and is kid friendly (school age children). Sweet Bunny loves to go on walks, play with her toys, chase squirrels in the backyard and snuggle up to rest for her next playful adventure. Bunny is as sweet as they come and loves her people. Sadly, Bunny is heartworm positive and will need to be spayed. She will begin her heartworm treatments in November and once the vet gives the okay she will be spayed. But no need to worry because DFW Rescue Me covers those costs at our local vet. But in the meantime, if you&#39re interested in this precious girl, please complete an application at dfwrescueme.org. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment).
