Story
Meet Rooshi 4 years old • 13 lbs • Terrier MixRooshi is a sweet, easygoing little guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for his humans. At just 13 pounds, he’s the perfect size for cuddling, carrying, and adventuring—and he’s thrilled to do all three. This adaptable boy is happiest wherever his people are. His absolute favorite activity? Snuggling. On your lap, in your arms, curled next to you—if it involves human contact, Rooshi is all in. He also loves gazing out the window, and if he can enjoy that view while being held, he’s in heaven.Rooshi has great leash manners and loves going on walks. He keeps up beautifully with big dogs on hikes and has surprising stamina for a small pup. But he’s just as content with a quiet day full of snuggles, showing how wonderfully flexible his energy level is. We joke that he’d make an amazing “grandma dog” or a little adventure buddy—he’s happy to match your lifestyle. He’s crate trained (with the cutest tiny whine for the first minute—his “superpower”), fully house trained, and gets along with dogs big and small. He’s curious but respectful with cats and should do well with gentle kids. Rooshi doesn’t know many commands yet, but he’s a quick learner and already working on sit, stay, and come. His only real “flaw” is trying to hop up to peek at your food—no whining, just hopeful curiosity.Rooshi can thrive in an apartment and does well being crated during a typical workday. His ideal forever family is one that loves to snuggle and wants a loyal little companion who thinks affection is the best thing in the world. With his adorable white “sock” paws, sweet nature, and ability to fit into just about any household, Rooshi is truly one of a kind. He’ll even gently stand on his hind legs and wrap his front paws around yours to ask for pets—it’s impossibly cute.If you’re looking for a tender, cuddly, adaptable companion who just wants to love and be loved, Rooshi is ready to meet you. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Spirit 💛 Hi there… my name is Spirit, but if you ask nicely, you can call me Pretty Girl or Lady Dog. I’m a sweet 12–13 year old lady with a gentle soul. These days, my favorite hobby is napping — I’ve truly perfected the art. A cozy bed, a soft blanket, and the peaceful presence of my people? That’s my idea of a perfect afternoon. Every now and then I’ll surprise you by taking interest in an occasional cat toy… just to keep things interesting. Because I have some arthritis in my shoulders and hips, I prefer short, slow walks. I like to take my time and enjoy the little things. I also have limited sight and hearing, and I don’t have any teeth left. I can be a little unsure about shadows and windy days — they’re mysterious and a bit spooky to a lady with my limited vision. But with reassurance and a calm environment, I feel safe and content. My very best friends are my foster mom and dad. They give me delicious wet food and lots of love, which I think is a very fair trade for my devotion and sweet company. I’m good with cats and other dogs, and while it’s not known how I feel about kids, I’m such a calm and gentle girl that a quiet home would suit me best. If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion who will happily snooze by your side and warm your heart every single day, I might just be your girl. Love, Spirit 🐾

Story
Cady is an adorable senior lady with a big personality! She’s sweet, but she definitely knows what she likes and doesn’t like, especially when it comes to sharing her space with other dogs. Food is her treasure, and she can be quite protective of it! Cady is pretty clever, too. She can use a dog door, as long as it’s not too high. She’s also good with stairs, but honestly, she’d rather be carried — who wouldn’t want to be pampered a bit? When it comes to her favorite activities, Cady loves nothing more than lounging around and getting some love. She’ll happily snuggle up while you pet her, often drifting off to sleep in sheer bliss. She’s not the type to run around nonstop; she prefers a laid-back lifestyle. However, it’s good to keep in mind that Cady might not be the best fit for homes with small children, as she can be a little particular about her space. Overall, she’s a lovely companion who enjoys chilling out and soaking up affection! Cady has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Cady, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt).
