Story
Luke is our happy JRT mix boy that was found with his brother in a small town in Tennessee and soon they were living under the desk of the small shelter Manager because there was absolutely no kennel to hold the two pups.  Just weighing 15 pounds, this boy is going to be that special small guy that can fit in just about anywhere and with anyone.  He loves attention.  In fact he craves attention and needs some reassurance that someone is going to be there for him for a long time.  These uncertain times  have certainly affected everyone and especially the dogs that have found themselves abandoned and now homeless.  He is a great little guy and does well with other dogs and loves children.  He is still working on the inside house manners that he will perfect  with just a little more time and some loving patience from his human teacher.  Luke loves to be held and carried around.  He thinks he is a Chihuahua but he doesn't act like one for sure.  He is pretty good on a leash and he is crate trained and truly working on becoming an exceptional little dynamo that will keep you young at heart and also a heart that will fill  yours with his adoration and love.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is ready and more than willing to travel to a city near you!!!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 11, 2026, 4:35 pm

Story
Brownie is an almost 3-year-old spayed female who missed her opportunity to fly last year due to a positive heartworms diagnosis.  She has been treated and retested and is now fully recovered from heartworms and 4DX negative.  She is up to date on vaccinations, weighs 38 lbs, and loves to walk on leash.  Her rescuer/foster in PR likes to walk her to the park where she can play.  She has always lived with other dogs and does well with a canine companion.  She is house  trained, calm, and would be a loving companion for someone looking for something beyond the puppy stage.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Buddy is settling beautifully into foster care and already showing everyone what a wonderful dog he is This handsome 2.5 year-old neutered boy weighs about 20 lbs and, despite everything he has been through, (recent neuter, leaving the shelter, and flight to the States, leaving his brother for a foster home with cats) he has been incredibly gentle, affectionate, and eager to learn. Within his first 24 hours in foster care, Buddy went on multiple walks and did amazingly well on leash. He was calm, responsive, and very easy to redirect when passing other dogs. His foster describes him as tremendously well-behaved, especially considering how new and overwhelming everything must feel for him right now. Buddy has also been doing great using the yard to potty and has quickly become quite the cuddle bug. After walks and exploring, he’s happiest relaxing nearby and soaking up affection. He is still decompressing from shelter life and travel, so he spends a lot of time resting and quietly adjusting to home life. He does seem very interested in the foster’s cat, so for now introductions are being managed carefully and only while he is leashed. Buddy originally found himself in a shelter in Puerto Rico with his brother.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Yago is an easy going guy.  He just arrived from Puerto Rico and was neutered a few days ago so he is still adjusting to all the changes, but he is curious and happy to learn.  Yago is 2.5 years old, 20 lbs, snaggle toothed good boy.  He likes to chew on bones but hasn’t discovered the joy of toys yet.  He likes to follow his foster mom around and learn from everything she is doing.   He follows around a submissive female dog and seems interested in her, but not really interested in playing with the resident dogs.  He is doing well walking on a leash, learning the dog door, and going outside.  Please put in an application to meet him.  Dog Adoption Application https://caribbeanpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=7208Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Imagine driving down a rural country road on the way to pickup groceries, when out of the brush comes 2 walking Halloween skeletons.  That is what  Benjamin and his partner Olive looked like when we took them home.  Benjamin is a sweet JRT mix that is about 2 years old and weighs 27 lbs. He loves to play and destuff all of his stuffed animals. When his energy runs out, he will snuggle next to you on the couch. He is a smart boy and will keep you on your toes. Benjamin is learning house manners and will stay in a crate. Benjamin walks well on a harness but beware of squirrels. Because of his high prey drive, absolutely no cats!!! A fenced yard is highly desirable but not a necessity. he can always go out on a leash but never off leash when not in  fenced yard .      If you love the energy and personality of a jack russell, then benjamin, we'll check all the boxes that you are looking for.  Please email critter cavalry rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.    please inform us where you live, city and state since we R based in Tennessee. But we do transport out of state to the northeastern corridor.

Story
Best friend Buddy is the total package. He loves people and greets everyone, always eager for attention.   At 12, Buddy ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter. We do not know his backstory or why such a sweet boy would land in a shelter. We may never know.     At Critter Cavalry, we adore seniors and believe they deserve every chance to find a loving home. You won’t regret considering Buddy—he loves everyone, whether human or animal. Buddy is everyone’s best friend.     Buddy is healthy for a senior. He has limited sight and hearing, but is otherwise in good shape. He navigates his foster home easily and enjoys exploring the fenced yard. He comes when called—just use a louder voice.   Buddy is ready to retire with a couple eager to add him to their family. He’d love a fenced yard to explore—size isn’t important—and an active retirement with short walks and car rides. He will be a wonderful addition to a family that matches his lifestyle.   If you want a new best friend, Buddy is perfect for you. To learn more about adopting him, contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or 615-943-7311. Approved application and adoption fee required.    June 11, 2026, 4:35 pm
