Story
Jack is a Jack-Rat Terrier mix that is bonded with Spud. He does not do well with any other dogs or cats. He needs a child free home. He is crate trained. He is described as active, nervous and "aggressive" toward strangers and other animals. He is a Terrier for sure, and he is not afraid to prove it. He is a soft toy destroyer, much to Spud's dismay. If he gets too stimulated, he has been known to go after Spud, but the stress level in his home really matters. He needs a fully fenced, stable environment.

Story
This sweet little Jack-Rat Terrier mix loves to be held and cuddled once she gets to know a person. She is crate trained. She will bark and howl if left alone for too long, but really, why leave her behind for that long? She is timid when meeting new people and does not like other dogs, except her mate, Jack. She enjoys car rides, when it isn't too hot. She is described as being friendly, hyper, shy and noisy. Terrier much? Her potty training needs a refresher, but she is smart and in a calm consistent home she will blossom. She would prefer a child free home with a fenced yard.

Story
Lita is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. We know that Lita is a wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is just over 1 year of age and she weighs 21 pounds. Lita also has an adorable head tilt. She is sweet, active, and playful. She loves to be cuddled and petted. At first, Lita was terrified of the other dogs, but now she loves to run and play with all of the other dogs. Lita does like to chase cats. Lita is a JRT, she is very smart, and she will jump a 4'-5' fence or gate to go chase a squirrel or cat. She must have a secure 6' fence to prevent escape. We put a training collar on her for about a week and she quickly learned to stay in the yard and to come when called. Lita is crate-trained and will run and get in her crate when it is time to do so. She obviously received no training from the person who previously had her, but she is very smart and learns quickly. Lita may need more work with housetraining and her house manners have gotten much better - she no longer chews on things that she is not supposed to. Lita must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and must have a secure, 6-foot-tall fenced yard to run and play. Lita is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Litas' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
Catch-up is a male 5 year old small 20 pound Jack Russel terrier mix.  He is potty trained, loves to go on walks, ride in the car, and play with his toys.  Catch-up will do best in a household without small children. He has been mistreated (hit) so we are working on his manners.  Catch-up is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.  He does like to talk (bark) to you when he wants his dinner or wants to play.  He likes to cuddle and will be a good companion.  He isn’t good with cats and his foster mom isn’t sure about livestock.   Due to allergies, he is on a Hydrolyzed prescription diet that he will need to stay on for the rest of his life.  Catch-up will be required to be signed up for basic obedience classes before adoption is finalized. ##1808746##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beau Background Beau came to us with all of his siblings from an animal hoarder's home in California. He is the last of his litter who needs a home. Beau is neutered and up to date. What Beau Needs Beau is a Jack Russell-Papillon mix, also known as a Papi-Jack. He is initially shy but warms up quickly to a sweet and loving 2-year-old boy. Beau needs a woman-only home as he is used to living with an all-female household and doesn't do well with men. He requires a yard for sunning and potty and prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to thrive, as he has had other dogs around him his entire life. Beau was rescued from a hoarding situation and is accustomed to being part of a larger dog group, so having a friend or two is critical to his wellbeing. If you're looking for a lover boy who wants to be with you everywhere, is super playful, and loves having a buddy dog to be close to, Beau is your boy. He has medium-long soft and silky fur coat and does best when he is kept well-groomed, brushed, and bathed. Beau just adores being clean and brushed and loves attention, being talked to, and hugged. He is housebroken but has also learned how to use a Peepad as a backup if needed.  Beau is intelligent, lovingly gentle, and protective. He becomes very close to his special person. Beau does become a watchdog if you have company, so he will need a nice quiet place he can retire to if you have guests and people he has not been properly introduced to in the home. He prefers to be around only 1-2 people and becomes a lap dog, hugger, and kisser once he knows he can trust his humans. Beau likes all small dogs he has met and has done well with a few older lab puppies we have brought in and engages them in play.  Beau is a healthy boy but needs a cat and a small animal-free home due to the prey drive of Jack Russells. He has cleaned the house of visiting mice and moles on the rescue property. How To Adopt Beau   Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup.  If it looks like a match can be made, then the next step is a meet and greet. Please use a computer as tablets and cell phones will drop the application. Beau has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for his and his new buddies.  To apply to adopt Beau he has a $550.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.                      https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 12, 2024, 2:56 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a 6yr old, Terrier mix, spayed female and up to date on vaccines/preventatives. She is house trained, kennel trained, and vehicle trained as well. Poppy is a medium energy dog; feisty and likes to socialize BUT she's a little crusty on the outside and super gooey on the inside. She loves her people and her friends; however, you'll need to earn her trust. Poppy can be energetic, plays casually and enjoys sustained games of chase with her friends, on her terms (fun police.) She can get cranky if play becomes too vigorous and she gets pounced on too much/hard. Poppy has a little bit of arthritis, and it can be painful, so she will gladly retreat to the door to let you know she is done with playtime. She is more than willing to go inside, follow you around or curl up, chill, and get her belly rubbed. Being small but mighty, Poppy occasionally has bouts of barking at what she sees moving in the distance and will go zooming up and down the fence line in arousal of anyone/thing approaching; however, she will calm down on her own with minimal intervention from her person. When greeting you, Poppy displays the typical wiggle body and wildly wagging tail. Have you seen how long her tail is?! It waves like a banner over her back and is simply adorable! She may initially hop up to put her feet on you, letting you know she's happy and wants to interact with you, she loves attention and will display a little eagerness to get more loves... so saying her name as she's being petted, and the name of the other dog(s) being petted keeps her content. Noteworthy Behaviors: Poppy displays barrier reactivity with new people/surroundings as a way to express her anxiety in the situation. She will need a person or family, (with older children), who will understand and take their time with her. Once you win her over, she is gold! She is quirky about having her collar touched so she will whine, cower down, and roll to her side. She will display mouthy behavior as you attempt to put a leash on her, but she genuinely wants to go out so don't give up! She will pop right up and head to the door after being leashed!! Key points to consider when adopting Poppy: she is sugar and spice with bursts of energy so great with a laid back and an active family. Honorable mention: Poppy does have a housemate, Sully, who is also up for adoption. If you're looking for two friends, then they are your duo! They would have an easier transition into a new home together but they are not bonded. $200 Local adoption fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area) $50 Fuel temporary fuel surcharge
