Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beau Background Beau came to us with all of his siblings from an animal hoarder's home in California. He is the last of his litter who needs a home. Beau is neutered and up to date. What Beau Needs Beau is a Jack Russell-Papillon mix, also known as a Papi-Jack. He is initially shy but warms up quickly to a sweet and loving 4-year-old boy. Beau needs a woman-only home as he is used to living with an all-female household and doesn't do well with men. He requires a yard for sunning and potty and prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to thrive, as he has had other dogs around him his entire life. Beau was rescued from a hoarding situation and is accustomed to being part of a larger dog group, so having a friend or two is critical to his well being. Beau needs an ADULT only home, no children or grandchildren as they scare him and he may bite. he prefers women to men but with patience and proper socializing beau will become friendly with the man in the home (if there is one). If you're looking for a lover boy who wants to be with you everywhere, is super playful, and loves having a buddy dog to be close to, Beau is your boy. He has medium-long soft and silky fur coat and does best when he is kept well-groomed, brushed, and bathed. Beau just adores being clean and brushed and loves attention, being talked to, and hugged. He is housebroken but has also learned how to use a Peepad as a backup if needed.  Beau is intelligent, lovingly gentle, and protective. He becomes very close to his special person. Beau does become a watchdog if you have company, so he will need a nice quiet place he can retire to if you have guests and people he has not been properly introduced to in the home. He prefers to be around only 1-2 people and becomes a lap dog, hugger, and kisser once he knows he can trust his humans. Beau likes all small dogs he has met and has done well with a few older lab puppies we have brought in and engages them in play.  Beau is a healthy boy but needs a cat and a small animal-free home due to the prey drive of Jack Russells. He has cleaned the house of visiting mice and moles on the rescue property. How To Adopt Beau CLEAR The RESCUE September Special: $150 off adoption fees for single animals to help us find long term dogs their forever people!   Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup.  If it looks like a match can be made, then the next step is a meet and greet. Story
Hi, I am Cooper, They say good things come in small packages. That describes me pretty well. I am a confident, active, high-energy little guy.I love to play with other dogs once I have been introduced. I can be a bit nervous the first time we meet and in new situations but that just means I need a bit more exposure to new things.I play with children and adults too, I am a very sociable guy.I love balls the best and will chase them if you throw them. Cats are not my thing; I will chase them too. I love car rides especially when they end up at the beach. I won’t go into the water, but I love to run along the shore and dig in the sand. Today I spend most of my time outside so that is where I know how to do my business. You may need to spend a bit of time teaching me to ask when I need to go out of the house. But I am a smart boy so I will catch on quickly.I love to go for walks and runs but I haven’t gotten used to the leash yet. I just walk beside my foster and come back when they call me. If it sounds like we might be a family, then fill in the application and we can meet during a Zoom call. All yours,Cooper To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Hi there I’m Nala,I am a mature, self-confident dog who would love to find a forever home. I live now with other dogs who I love to play with, cats who I respect and play with if they want to, and kids who like to pet me. I have not had much experience with toys, but I do love a good game of tug. I like to be active, but I am good to just chill out with you too. Nothing like an evening of cuddling with the family to make my day complete.I like car rides, I don’t get sick, and I stay calm. My foster says I make a great co-pilot. I am learning basic commands like sit and stay but I will need some work with that. I love to walk and when we do I stay close to my foster and walk at their pace. If it sounds like we would be a good fit, then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Just waiting for you.Nala To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo.
