Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beau Background Beau came to us with all of his siblings from an animal hoarder's home in California. He is the last of his litter who needs a home. Beau is neutered and up to date. What Beau Needs Beau is a Jack Russell-Papillon mix, also known as a Papi-Jack. He is initially shy but warms up quickly to a sweet and loving 2-year-old boy. Beau needs a woman-only home as he is used to living with an all-female household and doesn't do well with men. He requires a yard for sunning and potty and prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to thrive, as he has had other dogs around him his entire life. Beau was rescued from a hoarding situation and is accustomed to being part of a larger dog group, so having a friend or two is critical to his wellbeing. If you're looking for a lover boy who wants to be with you everywhere, is super playful, and loves having a buddy dog to be close to, Beau is your boy. He has medium-long soft and silky fur coat and does best when he is kept well-groomed, brushed, and bathed. Beau just adores being clean and brushed and loves attention, being talked to, and hugged. He is housebroken but has also learned how to use a Peepad as a backup if needed.  Beau is intelligent, lovingly gentle, and protective. He becomes very close to his special person. Beau does become a watchdog if you have company, so he will need a nice quiet place he can retire to if you have guests and people he has not been properly introduced to in the home. He prefers to be around only 1-2 people and becomes a lap dog, hugger, and kisser once he knows he can trust his humans. Beau likes all small dogs he has met and has done well with a few older lab puppies we have brought in and engages them in play.  Beau is a healthy boy but needs a cat and a small animal-free home due to the prey drive of Jack Russells. He has cleaned the house of visiting mice and moles on the rescue property. How To Adopt Beau   Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup.  If it looks like a match can be made, then the next step is a meet and greet. Please use a computer as tablets and cell phones will drop the application. Beau has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for his and his new buddies.  To apply to adopt Beau he has a $550.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.                      https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2024, 9:43 pm

Story
Meet Poppy! Poppy is a 6yr old, Terrier mix, spayed female and up to date on vaccines/preventatives. She is house trained, kennel trained, and vehicle trained as well. Poppy is a medium energy dog; feisty and likes to socialize BUT she's a little crusty on the outside and super gooey on the inside. She loves her people and her friends; however, you'll need to earn her trust. Poppy can be energetic, plays casually and enjoys sustained games of chase with her friends, on her terms (fun police.) She can get cranky if play becomes too vigorous and she gets pounced on too much/hard. Poppy has a little bit of arthritis, and it can be painful, so she will gladly retreat to the door to let you know she is done with playtime. She is more than willing to go inside, follow you around or curl up, chill, and get her belly rubbed. Being small but mighty, Poppy occasionally has bouts of barking at what she sees moving in the distance and will go zooming up and down the fence line in arousal of anyone/thing approaching; however, she will calm down on her own with minimal intervention from her person. When greeting you, Poppy displays the typical wiggle body and wildly wagging tail. Have you seen how long her tail is?! It waves like a banner over her back and is simply adorable! She may initially hop up to put her feet on you, letting you know she's happy and wants to interact with you, she loves attention and will display a little eagerness to get more loves... so saying her name as she's being petted, and the name of the other dog(s) being petted keeps her content. Noteworthy Behaviors: Poppy displays barrier reactivity with new people/surroundings as a way to express her anxiety in the situation. She will need a person or family, (with older children), who will understand and take their time with her. Once you win her over, she is gold! She is quirky about having her collar touched so she will whine, cower down, and roll to her side. She will display mouthy behavior as you attempt to put a leash on her, but she genuinely wants to go out so don't give up! She will pop right up and head to the door after being leashed!! Key points to consider when adopting Poppy: she is sugar and spice with bursts of energy so great with a laid back and an active family. Honorable mention: Poppy does have a housemate, Sully, who is also up for adoption. If you're looking for two friends, then they are your duo! They would have an easier transition into a new home together but they are not bonded. $200 Local adoption fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area) $50 Fuel temporary fuel surcharge

Story
Meet Oliva! This naughty little 15-pounder will steal your heart in an instant, with her infinite energy and small size she gives tenderness, in addition to being very obedient and intelligent. She was found abandoned on the beach, malnourished, full of parasites and sand, she is currently healthy and ready for her new home, it would be ideal for her to grow up in a house with children, since she has too much energy and the ideal is for her to always have someone to play her. Look at those beautiful eyes! She gets along well with cats, other dogs, children and adults, she knows how to sit, wait for her food and walk on a leash, she won't grow much, and she learns very quickly. She is small, she won't grow up more. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocky My name is Rocky. I was abandoned when my owners moved away. I don't know why they left me behind. But fortunately, I was fortunate enough to be found by kind people who helped me get my life back on track. I am a healthy and strong 5.5-year-old who gets along well with other dogs. I'm looking for a nice couple or an adult to be my forever companion. Sorry, I'm not sure about kids, as they tend to scare me. I have been neutered, microchipped, and I am up-to-date on my vaccines. I also had a complete dental check-up on November 29th, 2023.  I'm currently in Washington, having moved here from California, and I'm eagerly waiting to find my forever family. Cheryl, the founder of the rescue that took care of me, says that I have dreamy eyes and a sweet personality. I'm also very intelligent. However, I may be a bit shy and nervous initially because of all the scary experiences I've had in my life. But if you're patient and gentle with me, I promise to be your BFF forever. I do tend to like woman more then men but if a couple adopts me, just give me the time I need to get to know the man of the home and we can be good buddies. The rescue organization that is helping me find my new home says that I need a patient and experienced person who understands that trust takes time to build. I don't give my love easily, but when I do, you'll have my whole heart. I growl at strangers in the home, but with fear-free training, patience, and love, I can learn to trust again. I'm a love bucket waiting to be filled with affection from my new companion. I trust women more than men, but I can learn to trust anyone who is kind and caring. How Can You Meet Rocky? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. SOPHIES' JOURNEY. Sophie was discovered as a young puppy wandering the streets of Bakersfield. Sadly, her head was covered in injuries caused by an unknown animal. The rescue team that found her took her to the vet and discovered that Sophie was blind. She was in a vulnerable state, and it was shocking to think that she had been wandering the streets blind, alone, hungry, and scared. Anna, a rescuer and sister to Shannon, who runs Emm and Mals Animal Sanctuary and has been caring for Sophie, called and asked if Rompin Paws Rescue would take Sophie and place her in a loving home. Sophie is 1-year-old, spayed and current on vaccines. She is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. She loves to bond to a woman and can be slowly introduced to men and she will be fine. Sophie learns her environment quickly and navigates it so well you would scarcely know she is blind. It will not be easy to walk her on a lead, so having a good size yard that she can run in circles and play while under supervision is the best scenario for her. She lives to chew on her split deer antler and squeaky toys. Sophie wags her tail furiously in anticipation when you are entering a room, she is so happy to know you are there. If you love a snuggle pup and have the time to spend with this wonderful girl, then you may just be a match. Update: We recently introduces Sophie to two very friendly Maltese-poodles and once she realized they were not going to hurt her, they quickly became friends. Sophie is so pleased to have dog buddies to share her days here at the rescue. How Can You Meet Sophie?
