If your dream dog is tiny, tender, and totally devoted, your search ends here. Maddie isn’t just looking for a house, she’s looking for a person to call home. Maddie is the definition of a soft, soulful angel. While she can be a little shy in new environments, she is a world class cuddler once she feels safe. She doesn’t just sit near you she melts into your arms as if she were custom-made to be carried. If snuggling were an Olympic sport, Maddie would take the gold every single time. But don’t just take our word for it, watch her adoption video to see that gentle, velcro love in action. *YouTube Link* We suspect this little lady is a Russell Terrier mix, though as with any rescue, that’s always our best educated and loving! guess. She weighs in at a petite 9 lbs compact, portable, and perfectly purse-sized.Maddie is the ultimate shadow dog and an incredibly devoted, loyal companion no doubt about it. She’s the kind of pup you can scoop up and take anywhere, but her love is larger than life. Maddie is currently flourishing in a foster home and has proven herself to be a total lady. She is fully crate trained and has her "indoor etiquette" down. Maddie has interacted safely and lovingly with babies. With other dogs, Maddie is mostly aloof. She doesn’t seek out dog play. She would thrive either as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with a very low energy companion. With cats, Maddie had a chance to meet our house cat and showed all great signs! Of course, we can arrange a little kitty sleepover to make sure everyone agrees she’s as polite as she appears. Maddie would absolutely love the apartment life. She’s a quick potty break girl who wants to get right back to the couch and burrow into her person. A calm, structured home where she can feel safe, cherished, and maybe just a little spoiled would be perfect. She doesn’t need a big yard, she needs a big lap. Maddie is a soulful, affectionate, tiny companion who bonds deeply and loves fully. The kind of dog who will memorize your routines and curl up exactly where your heart is. Story
CURRENTLY IN TORONTO!!! Yeontan Breed: Terrier mix Age: 3 years old Gender: Neutered male Color: Black Weight: 6.1 kg (13.5 lbs) Height: 42 cm (shoulder height)   About Yeontan   Yeontan is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Terrier mix with a gentle, people-loving personality. He enjoys human attention and loves being close to his people. If you show him interest, he will happily return it with even more affection — rubbing against you, asking for pets, and showing his belly once he feels comfortable.   He tends to prefer women slightly more than men, but he is friendly with strangers and allows handling easily. He can be picked up and held in your arms, and he truly enjoys being cuddled by people he trusts   Personality & Temperament • Good with people: Yes (very friendly) • Good with kids: Unknown (has not met children under 13, but expected to do well) • Good with dogs: Selective • Good with cats: Unknown (can be tested) • Energy level: Low to medium   Yeontan is not a “party dog” who plays with everyone. He prefers a small circle of dog friends and enjoys calm, gentle dogs who are similar in size or have a softer personality. He does not like large or very high-energy dogs and may avoid them.   Daily Life & Training   Yeontan walks nicely on leash without pulling. He follows his handler well and enjoys calm outdoor time rather than intense activity   He currently does outdoor potty only and is well-mannered in a kennel. He does not show signs of separation anxiety or excessive barking.   Other Behaviours • No food guarding with people or dogs • May guard toys slightly from other dogs • Will bark at dogs who play too roughly with him • Not aggressive, just communicates boundaries • Nervous about getting into cars (needs to be carried in), but once inside, he rides well with no motion sickness   Ideal Home   Yeontan would do best in a calm home with gentle, patient adopters who enjoy companionship more than intense activity. A home with no dogs or with one small, calm dog would be ideal. He would thrive with someone who enjoys cuddling, relaxed walks, and spending quality time together   Rescue Story   Yeontan entered a high-kill shelter in November 2025 and was scheduled for euthanasia. At the time he was found wearing a white collar, which suggests he once had an owner but was likely abandoned. He was rescued in early December and brought to the AKR Center, where he has been safe and cared for ever since Apply to adopt : https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! ##2648050##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **KIWI** Kiwi is a seven-year-old purebred Jack Russell Terrier with a big personality. He loves chasing balls, going for car rides, walks, and running in the sun. Like many Jack Russells, he can get possessive over toys, so if he lives with or visits other dogs, it's best to put toys away. Kiwi has never had to share his things before, so he can be protective of them. He would do best as the only dog in the home, but with careful management of toys, he can live with other dogs without problems. Kiwi enjoys car rides and is always ready for an adventure. At home during the day, he keeps himself busy chewing on an elk antler or napping. In the mornings and evenings, he likes spending time with people. Kiwi came to us from an overcrowded shelter after his owner passed away and no family members could take him. He arrived with a limp, but after a week of eating a high-quality diet, taking joint supplements, using a muscle builder, and going on gentle, longer walks, he is moving much better. We ask that his adopters continue with this food and supplement routine to help him stay healthy and active. Kiwi should have his hip checked by a vet, but we are happy with his progress and believe his stiffness was mostly due to being kept in a small cat cage at the shelter. Kiwi is affectionate, curious, and adventurous, and he bonds quickly with people. Because of his strong prey drive, he needs a home without small animals, including cats. He would do well with older children who are experienced with dogs. **Adopting Kiwi** To adopt, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Kiwi has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee for Kiwi is $495 and includes his vaccines, rabies, and a microchip. Kiwi is Neutered.       www.rompinpawsrescue.com   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 24, 2026, 2:33 pm

Story
**Now fostered in Truxton, NY** If you are looking for a tiny queen with a spunky personality and amazing agility skills, then look no further than our bitty friend, Bambi! We believe Bambi is a chihuahua mix who is 5 years old and approximately 25 pounds. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. She’s a certified Texas Special, a mix of random breeds that created the best dog! Rescue is the best breed! Watch Bambi in action in here: https://youtu.be/2_n3tL3izY8?si=2MCNVAV5GmXcfkav So one thing about Bambi is that she is QUEEN B. She likes all the love and affection to go straight to her. Belly rubs? Hers. Ear scratches? Hers. Treats? All hers! Bambi is dog friendly and loves to play! She's all about play wrestling, play chase with her dog friends around the yard, and bringing bouncy fun playful energy to the yard. Whether she's tumbling with a buddy or zooming across the grass in a bouncy game of tag you're it, she's happiest when the vibes are silly and all about that fun. Some of her best friends are confident dogs that will rough house with, body bump, wrestle to the ground, and it's so entertaining to watch. In a home, she would do best with a confident friend that loves to play, enjoys those wrestling matches, is up for a game of chase, and knows when to take play breaks on their own. So if you're searching for a pup that will satisfy your current dog's playful energy and wanting that playtime entertainment in the backyard, Bambi is definitely your gal. If you don't have other dogs, no need to worry! Bambi's love is boundless and her personality is out of this world that she will be all you need. Bambi also did great when she met some cats on the property! She wanted to sniff them and tried to initiate play, lol. If she were to be in a home with a cat, it would definitely need to be a dog savvy feline who doesn’t mind the occasional puppy sniffs! She spent few days in her temporary foster home with a kitty and she did wonderfully! She did want to play with her new feline friend, so Bambi may not be every kitties cup of tea. But she sure is ours! She is a smaller girl who would do well in an apartment or house setting. But it’s important to note that when you offer her treats, she does say “please” in a loud way. So if you are in an apartment, thicker walls or cool neighbors would be best. She hasn’t been around small children but she has been fine around teens! We believe she would do well in a home with dog savvy older children who would enjoy spending time playing fetch and other games with her! If you have a young child and are curious to know how she is, please feel free to let us know and we will check it out for you! It’s very clear that Bambi is a super smart girl! She has the potential to do so many cool things if you spend the time to try to teach her! The staff at 3lp couldn’t stop raving about how people oriented she is! We can’t forget to tell you— the other cool thing about Bambi is how quick she is at learning tricks! The behavior team here at Three Little Pitties believes that she would make an excellent dog to train for trick sports and other cool games! You will see in her video how good she is at going after toys! She is very affectionate and will look forward to couch cuddling moments with you! She has the best little smile and the most scratchable ears! She is going to make someone out there very happy! Does Bambi sound like your girl? We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Good with dogs,
Story
I’m a small Jack Russell Terrier mix girl, weighing about 6kg. I may be tiny, but my heart is incredibly big. My sister and I were rescued after wandering the streets at a very young age. Even though life was tough in the beginning, I never let it take away my bright spirit or my warm, loving nature. I love other dogs and make friends easily. Meeting new furry buddies is one of my favorite things, and I’m always gentle and friendly. I adore people even more — if our eyes meet, my tail starts wagging before I can even think about it! I just can’t help wanting to be close to you. I’m also a great walking companion. I match your pace beautifully and enjoy taking in the world around me with calm curiosity. Walks with me are peaceful, happy moments. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning my potty manners at home. But don’t worry — I’m smart, eager to please, and I pay close attention to my humans. With a bit of consistency and love, I’ll learn quickly. Above all, I’m a little girl who loves giving and receiving affection. My heart is warm, soft, and ready to belong to someone special. I’m waiting patiently — and hopefully — for my first and forever family. If you can give a small life like me a warm home and endless love, I promise to give you all of my heart in return. 💛 With love, Seri 🐶💕
