Story
Fenway is an 8-year-old mini Australian Labradoodle who came to us from a breeder. He is loyal, affectionate, smart, and sensitive. His favorite things are cuddling with his people, going for walks, and then coming home for more cuddles. Fenway is wonderful with adults and children and enjoys visitors. He can become excited and jump when greeting new people, so calm introductions help him settle. He loves being active and would thrive with regular walks, hikes, attention, and ideally a securely fenced yard. Fenway needs to be the only dog in his new home. He also has manageable anxiety with car rides and travel, so a consistent routine would be ideal. Our family’s work and travel circumstances have changed, and we can no longer provide the exercise, attention, enrichment, and lifestyle he deserves. We are looking for a loving home where he can be the only dog, stay active, and spend plenty of time with his people.

Story
Maui is a beautiful, sweet, and silly 100lb Double Doodle (her wisdom panel shows 45% Labrador Retriever, 32% Golden Retriever, 22% Poodle, and 1% Flat-Coated Retriever). Maui sleeps in her kennel at night and is great around other dogs of all sizes once proper introductions are done. She adores cats in her current foster home. She has decent leash manners and enjoys going on walks. Maui also has already had an incisional gastropexy, so no future risks of GDV, or “bloat”. If you are interested in meeting Maui, please complete the adoption application. We go through a multi-step process for our dogs that includes meeting at the fosters home, a home inspection, and reference checks.

Story
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY APPLIED TO ADOPT FAUNA. Please do not apply if you are retired and over the age of 70. Fauna is only 3 and we’d like to guarantee she spends the rest of her life with her next home. Fauna is a 3 year old (April 2023) Australian Labradoodle who is about 18-20 lbs. She generally has a calm temperament, is relatively quiet, and will find every opportunity to sit on you. She enjoys both stuffed and rubber toys and is quite treat-motivated when it comes to training. She is flexible in energy levels - she can stay home all day or she can run laps at the dog park. She is likely the best fit with someone with a younger household with similar energy levels as her and who doesn't mind a slightly anxious dog. We love her and would love to spend the rest of her life together, but unfortunately, some medical issues on our part have arisen and we can no longer keep her. She has no known major medical issues aside from some mild seasonal allergies.

Story
To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2026/4/10/jasper Jasper’s story hasn’t always been easy. Most of his young life was spent confined to a crate and neglected, but somehow he still came out the other side loving people, loving dogs, and ready to soak up every bit of life he can. Now that he’s safe, Jasper is finally getting the chance to just be a dog — running, playing, going on adventures, lounging in the sun, riding in the car with his head out the window, and learning all the things nobody ever took the time to teach him before. And honestly? He’s thriving. Jasper is a happy, goofy, affectionate boy who loves the water, loves attention, and wants to be included in whatever you’re doing. He’s social, eager to please, and has a really sweet heart underneath his playful energy. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for coffee outings, road trips, couch time, or play sessions with other dogs. A little more about Jasper: • Dog friendly and loves to play • Good with people • Housetrained • Rides great in the car • Can be left alone in the house without separation anxiety or destruction • Sleeps well and settles nicely indoors • Active, fun, affectionate personality • Sometimes gets a little excited/jumpy when greeting people, but redirects easily and just loves attention Jasper is still learning manners and structure because nobody gave him that foundation before, but he is incredibly smart and wants to do well. He’s the kind of dog who will blossom quickly with consistency, love, and inclusion. After everything he’s been through, we would love nothing more than to see Jasper finally get the happy ending he deserves. He would do well as either a solo or second dog joining his new family. Jasper is currently fostered in Boulder Creek, CA. Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. Story
**This is a courtesy post. Bitsy is NOT a YCSPCA dog. All adoption interest will be forwarded to her caretaker.** Bitsy is a goofy boy who can't wait to make you smile! Bitsy is estimated to be around 4 years old and is a loving guy looking for his forever home. Bitsy is a total wiggle-butt that greats everyone he meets with a big smile and is a social butterfly who wants to be everyone's friend. Bitsy has a zest for life and loves a good adventure. Bitsy currently weighs about 75lbs, but would benefit from losing at least 10lbs. Who needs a weight loss buddy? Bitsy and his sister, Bella, were surrendered to a local dog boarding facility after their previous owner was no longer able to care for them and moved across the country. The staff at the facility love the two dogs, but know that they deserve more attention than they can get at the facility. It would be amazing if the dogs could be adopted together, but they aren't bonded and would do okay being separated. The most important part is that they can find people to love and care for them. Bitsy is the more active of the two kiddos. He would be a great adventure buddy for someone who needs a loyal sidekick. He loves to explore and have fun. Bitsy also loves cuddles and will lean up against you and try to convince you that he is, in fact, a lap dog despite his size.  Bitsy knows his basic manners, but does need some reminders now and then. He is very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze.  Bitsy hasn't been introduced to dogs in a while, per company policy, but he likely would do well living with other easy-going dogs after a slow introduction. Bitsy hasn't lived with cats before, but he seems to be a fan of chasing small critters and may not be a good fit to live with kitties. Bitsy would be a wonderful addition to a home with kids 12 years and older.  Bitsy is housetrained, but may have some accidents while adjusting to a new environment and routine. It's been about a year since he has been in a home setting, so his new family will need to be patient with him while he acclimates to being in a home again. Bitsy is neutered and up-to-date with his vaccines. Bistsy is such a wonderful dude who deserves a family for the holidays. If you think that might just be you, email us at dogs@yolospca.org. **This is a courtesy post. Bitsy is NOT a YCSPCA dog. All adoption interest will be forwarded to her caretaker.** March 7, 2026, 9:47 pm
