Maui is a beautiful, sweet, and silly 100lb Double Doodle (her wisdom panel shows 45% Labrador Retriever, 32% Golden Retriever, 22% Poodle, and 1% Flat-Coated Retriever). Maui sleeps in her kennel at night and is great around other dogs of all sizes once proper introductions are done. She adores cats in her current foster home. She has decent leash manners and enjoys going on walks. Maui also has already had an incisional gastropexy, so no future risks of GDV, or “bloat”. He is crate trained, up to date on vaccinations, and has been well cared for. Due to unexpected health complications affecting his owner, his owner is unfortunately no longer able to provide the time and care George deserves. This decision has been made with a lot of love and is solely in hopes of finding George the best possible home. Fauna is only 3 and we’d like to guarantee she spends the rest of her life with her next home. Fauna is a 3 year old (April 2023) Australian Labradoodle who is about 18-20 lbs. She generally has a calm temperament, is relatively quiet, and will find every opportunity to sit on you. She enjoys both stuffed and rubber toys and is quite treat-motivated when it comes to training. She is flexible in energy levels - she can stay home all day or she can run laps at the dog park. She is likely the best fit with someone with a younger household with similar energy levels as her and who doesn't mind a slightly anxious dog. We love her and would love to spend the rest of her life together, but unfortunately, some medical issues on our part have arisen and we can no longer keep her. She has no known major medical issues aside from some mild seasonal allergies.

Found as a stray, Skunk has proven to be a gentle and well-mannered companion who is quiet in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks beautifully by your side. While he doesn’t show clear signs of prior training, he is very treat-motivated, which will make teaching him new skills both fun and rewarding. Skunk has a wonderful temperament and a medium-to-low energy level, making him an excellent match for someone looking for a more relaxed, laid-back dog. When meeting another dog, he remained neutral and often chose to do his own thing, showing no signs of aggression or concerning behavior; however, he may prefer the comfort of being the only dog in the home, so a dog-to-dog meet is recommended if there is a resident dog. He’s also a smart and willing learner who truly wants to please. Once he’s fully healed, we think he’s going to thrive as an active companion who enjoys training, learning new tricks, and joining you on life’s adventures. Right now, Lucky Charms is on bed rest while his leg continues to heal from a fracture—and he’s been doing great. We also believe Lucky Charms may be deaf in one ear, but it doesn’t slow him down at all. Dogs like him are incredibly resilient and often build even stronger connections with their people through communication and trust. Lucky Charms came to Oakland Animal Services before coming to Heart Dog Harbor. Despite everything he’s been through, he has remained incredibly loving, gentle, and trusting. He’s truly a special dog—so sweet, so loving, and so ready for his next chapter. He is the very definition of a good boy!
