Maui is a beautiful, sweet, and silly 100lb Double Doodle (her wisdom panel shows 45% Labrador Retriever, 32% Golden Retriever, 22% Poodle, and 1% Flat-Coated Retriever). Maui sleeps in her kennel at night and is great around other dogs of all sizes once proper introductions are done. She adores cats in her current foster home. She has decent leash manners and enjoys going on walks. Maui also has already had an incisional gastropexy, so no future risks of GDV, or “bloat”. If you are interested in meeting Maui, please complete the adoption application. We go through a multi-step process for our dogs that includes meeting at the fosters home, a home inspection, and reference checks.

Fauna is only 3 and we’d like to guarantee she spends the rest of her life with her next home. Fauna is a 3 year old (April 2023) Australian Labradoodle who is about 18-20 lbs. She generally has a calm temperament, is relatively quiet, and will find every opportunity to sit on you. She enjoys both stuffed and rubber toys and is quite treat-motivated when it comes to training. She is flexible in energy levels - she can stay home all day or she can run laps at the dog park. She is likely the best fit with someone with a younger household with similar energy levels as her and who doesn't mind a slightly anxious dog. We love her and would love to spend the rest of her life together, but unfortunately, some medical issues on our part have arisen and we can no longer keep her. She has no known major medical issues aside from some mild seasonal allergies.

Ellie is a 3-year-old Catahoula/Lab mix who has been a loved part of our family since she was a puppy. She is very smart, loyal, and full of personality. Ellie loves being around people she trusts, going outside, playing, and getting attention. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has a lot of love to give in the right home. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family, but due to personal and health-related circumstances, we are no longer able to give Ellie the time, structure, and attention she deserves. We want to find her a home where she can truly thrive. We are looking for someone patient, understanding, and experienced with active dogs who can give her consistency, love, and a stable environment. Our biggest priority is making sure Ellie goes to a safe and caring home where she will be happy and well cared for.

Once he’s fully healed, we think he’s going to thrive as an active companion who enjoys training, learning new tricks, and joining you on life’s adventures. Right now, Lucky Charms is on bed rest while his leg continues to heal from a fracture—and he’s been doing great. We also believe Lucky Charms may be deaf in one ear, but it doesn’t slow him down at all. Dogs like him are incredibly resilient and often build even stronger connections with their people through communication and trust. Lucky Charms came to Oakland Animal Services before coming to Heart Dog Harbor. Despite everything he’s been through, he has remained incredibly loving, gentle, and trusting. He’s truly a special dog—so sweet, so loving, and so ready for his next chapter. He is the very definition of a good boy!
