Story
We’d have to give up our labradoodle as our work schedule has shifted over to longer schedules and she’s needing way more attention at her young puppy playful age. We’re sad to have to give her up but it’s better so she doesn’t have to just sit in the house alone while we’re gone. We recommend the new owners to not have super long working hours please!

Story
Hello, meet Benito aka Bubba:) Benito is a 4 year old, more or less Labradoodle and Wirehaired Pointer. He was found with his hair so tangled that we had to give him a very short hair cut. Accidently the groomer at that event who did his hair cut; his ears accidently because the ears were so damaged by the hair. So he is missing a small piece on both ears. He is very calm; not a barker, if you put him in crate is like he doesn't exist. He is such a good boy, very easy going - gets along with all dogs - not sure about cats as we have not fostered him around cats. He loves to go for walks and loves car rides:) He is very submissive - not aggressive that all. He is being fostered with other 20 dogs, of all sizes and ages:) He will give you a hand shake - well a paw shake:) He will make a wonderful addition to any family or a solo person who loves a calm dog. Benito is a survivor of Distemper - this means he will never get the disease again and he can life up to 15 years old of life as some of our survivors have done:) Are you ready to give him a forever home? Story
Adoption Event: Please let us know if you want this beauty to be at our semi-monthly adoption event by texting us at 619-576-0747 Our sweet Dalila is a female 50 pounds rescued girl, who loves to run and play fetch!! . Dalila is an ideal medium size, has a nice coat, low shedding and semi-hypoallergenic as she is a mixed of Labradoodle and German Shorthaired Pointer and Border Terrier. Hard to find a medium to large size low shedding-hypoallernic rescued pets due that the majority are small breeds:) She will be ideal for any family. However, an active family will be ideal for her sweet and playful temperament. She is good with people and children, and currently being fostered with another 18 dogs:) She will need basic training such as basic commands and to be leashed trained as she has been at the sanctuary running free but goes to a crate in the evenings to sleep - therefore, she is crate trained as well :) Not sure about how she is with cats but she is a pup still and trainable. Are you ready to give her a forever home? Story
Gentle and easy-going! Grrrrr!! I’m Bear, and I’m a 10-year-old, 98-pound Labrador Retriever Mix looking for my furever home! I came to TAP after being abandoned by my past owners, sadly due to my older age.  I’m a gentle and easy-going boy who is already potty-trained, leash-trained, and neutered.  All you have to say is “potty time” or “let’s go” while on a leash, and I know exactly what to do.  My health is in pretty good shape, but I will need to be evaluated once I have an established vet.  Being the seasoned guy I am, I have slight vision impairment related to normal aging, and I use eye ointment for extra support.  This condition will not lead to blindness, but I may need eye repair surgery in the future.  I also take Cytopoint injections to help with my allergies.  I’m a gentle and introverted pup, who loves my humans.  I’m very smart and pick up easily on the schedule you set for me.  I can be energetic when you come home or when it’s time to go for a walk, but other than that, I’m pretty mellow and love my naps.  My favorite things (besides taking naps) are taking walks, chewing on thick teething bones, and occasionally, playing with balls.  While I don’t mind being around other doggies, I like having my alone time and need slow introductions so that I have time to warm up.  I am very gentle around kids of all ages, and I enjoy receiving love from them.  However, no climbing on me, please, and no sudden movements around me since I can’t see as well as I used to.  Due to my mellow nature, I’d like to be in a mellow home, as well.  However, I’ve done just fine in a busy household with my foster family, living with multiple doggies and constant foot traffic of family and friends who come visit.  I enjoy being in the mix, as well as having a safe area to retreat to when I want some alone time. Overall, I’m a great companion and am just looking for someone special to look past my age and give me a chance.  My adoption fee is $150 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/. ##1698906##

Story
Making it right for Left Eye!  Hello there! My name is Left Eye, and I'm a 2-year-old, neutered male Labrador mix, looking for my forever home. I weigh about 53 lbs. Since my rescue, I have been at my lovely foster home and learnt amazing manners. I am fully bathroom, crate and leash trained. Talk about a lovable smartie pants! I'm friendly, lovable, and have a lot of energy to share with my new family. I get along great with one of my fellow foster dog siblings, one more than the other. Cats intrigue me, and though I might bark at them from a distance when I'm in my crate, I'm quite curious and approach them with gentle sniffs when we meet face to face. I must admit, I can be a bit mouthy like a pupper, but I'm learning the ropes of good behavior. All I really want is love, affection, and a warm place to call home. I'm getting better at asking for attention the right way, and I'm eager to please. If you already have a dog or a cat at home, I'd be a fantastic companion for them. I love going for walks and runs, so we can have loads of fun together outdoors. I'm also content to be an only pet, with social play dates. Whether it's just you and me or a home with other furry friends, I'm confident I'll fit right in. I promise to be loyal and loving, bringing joy and happiness to your life. I am currently receiving Cytopoint injections every 4-8 weeks to treat allergies. Price varies depending on vet. My adoption fee is $450 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1765260##
