Story
Gentle and easy-going! Grrrrr!! I’m Bear, and I’m a 10-year-old, 98-pound Labrador Retriever Mix looking for my furever home! I came to TAP after being abandoned by my past owners, sadly due to my older age.  I’m a gentle and easy-going boy who is already potty-trained, leash-trained, and neutered.  All you have to say is “potty time” or “let’s go” while on a leash, and I know exactly what to do.  My health is in pretty good shape, but I will need to be evaluated once I have an established vet.  Being the seasoned guy I am, I have slight vision impairment related to normal aging, and I use eye ointment for extra support.  This condition will not lead to blindness, but I may need eye repair surgery in the future.  I also take Cytopoint injections to help with my allergies.  I’m a gentle and introverted pup, who loves my humans.  I’m very smart and pick up easily on the schedule you set for me.  I can be energetic when you come home or when it’s time to go for a walk, but other than that, I’m pretty mellow and love my naps.  My favorite things (besides taking naps) are taking walks, chewing on thick teething bones, and occasionally, playing with balls.  While I don’t mind being around other doggies, I like having my alone time and need slow introductions so that I have time to warm up.  I am very gentle around kids of all ages, and I enjoy receiving love from them.  However, no climbing on me, please, and no sudden movements around me since I can’t see as well as I used to.  Due to my mellow nature, I’d like to be in a mellow home, as well.  However, I’ve done just fine in a busy household with my foster family, living with multiple doggies and constant foot traffic of family and friends who come visit.  I enjoy being in the mix, as well as having a safe area to retreat to when I want some alone time. Overall, I’m a great companion and am just looking for someone special to look past my age and give me a chance.  My adoption fee is $150 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/. ##1698906##

Story
Waddle you be the one for me?  Quack quack… oops! I mean hi friends! I’m Ducky — a 4-year-old, 35-pound Lab mix with a sweet little soul and a whole lot of love to give. I’m not the kind to flap around making noise — in fact, I haven’t barked once at Amazon drivers (and I’ve had plenty of chances!). I’m just here to cuddle, quietly follow you around, and be the best sidekick you’ve ever had. I love other dogs — they help give me confidence when my humans are away, and I really enjoy their company. I haven’t met any kiddos yet, so I’d need a slow intro to see how we’d all get along. But I’m gentle and affectionate, so there’s potential for sure. I might seem a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’m all in. I’ll curl up next to you while you work, follow you from room to room, and sneak in kisses whenever I get the chance. I’m a professional lap dog in a slightly oversized body, and I take that job very seriously. I’m house trained, bathroom trained, and walk well on a leash. I’ve got mild separation anxiety — just a few whimpers when you leave — but I settle down quickly, especially if I have a dog friend to keep me company. I’m a healthy girlie but I do need to get spayed. I’ll make sure to pencil that in soon!  I’m pretty adaptable — I’d do well in a home with other dogs, with a mellow family, or even in an apartment with someone who’s around a lot. I have a high prey drive, so I will do best in a house without cats, chickens or birds. I don’t need much, just someone who loves a snuggly shadow and doesn’t mind a little duck tail following them wherever they go. Let’s be honest — life’s better when you’ve got a Ducky in tow!  My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2441457##

Story
CeCe is a beautiful 3-year, 8-month-old pup with a big heart and an even bigger brain! She's incredibly smart, curious, and playful, making her a joy to be around. At about 70 pounds, CeCe is a healthy girl - spayed, up to date on her shots, and recently had a clean bill of health from the vet. Her DNA shows a mix of Golden Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier, German Shepherd, Pit Bull, and Bulldog. CeCe has been a beloved part of our family since we adopted her three years ago, but due to allergies, we sadly need to find her a new home. CeCe bonded strongly with dad - when he's around, she's a loving family dog; when he's not, she prefers quiet time. We believe she'd thrive with a single man who can give her attention. While we think she'd do well with other dogs, she hasn't had much exposure to them. If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and sweet companion who will adore you, CeCe could be the perfect match!
