Story
Waddle you be the one for me?  Quack quack… oops! I mean hi friends! I’m Ducky — a 4-year-old, 35-pound Lab mix with a sweet little soul and a whole lot of love to give. I’m not the kind to flap around making noise — in fact, I haven’t barked once at Amazon drivers (and I’ve had plenty of chances!). I’m just here to cuddle, quietly follow you around, and be the best sidekick you’ve ever had. I love other dogs — they help give me confidence when my humans are away, and I really enjoy their company. I haven’t met any kiddos yet, so I’d need a slow intro to see how we’d all get along. But I’m gentle and affectionate, so there’s potential for sure. I might seem a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’m all in. I’ll curl up next to you while you work, follow you from room to room, and sneak in kisses whenever I get the chance. I’m a professional lap dog in a slightly oversized body, and I take that job very seriously. I’m house trained, bathroom trained, and walk well on a leash. I’ve got mild separation anxiety — just a few whimpers when you leave — but I settle down quickly, especially if I have a dog friend to keep me company. I’m a healthy girlie but I do need to get spayed. I’ll make sure to pencil that in soon!  I’m pretty adaptable — I’d do well in a home with other dogs, with a mellow family, or even in an apartment with someone who’s around a lot. I have a high prey drive, so I will do best in a house without cats, chickens or birds. I don’t need much, just someone who loves a snuggly shadow and doesn’t mind a little duck tail following them wherever they go. Let’s be honest — life’s better when you’ve got a Ducky in tow!  My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2441457##

Story
The cutest little villain around! Oh, hi there! My name is Loki. Like my Marvel namesake, I’m charming and bundles of fun. I’m a 2.5 year old, 44-pound neutered lab mix. When I was rescued as a stray in Long Beach, I didn’t have use of my back legs. After being medically assessed, I made astounding progress everyday and can now stand and walk on my own! I just need help getting up and down some stairs, in and out of my wheelchair, and in and out of car, due to being unable to jump. I’ve been loving life with my foster and the only thing that would make me happier is a planet to rule… ahem, I mean a home of my own! I’m an outgoing boy who loves other dogs and playing with them. I bark to say hello and just want their attention! I have plenty of supervillain energy (aka puppy energy) but my play is limited with my legs. I love chewing on toys, bones, and being a loyal boy! I haven’t met any cats, so I’m not sure what I think about them yet. I hope we’d be buddies! What I love most of all is attention and affection from my people. I’m a big softie– don’t tell the other “bad guys.” Unlike the original Loki, I’m a well-behaved boy! I am crate-trained and potty trained. I’m leash-trained for shorter walks and love to strut my stuff!  I love getting out for walks and to explore! I just adore keeping my people company and being the most loyal boy in the galaxy. I am good with basic obedience and acing the course! If you are active and looking for an unbeatable sidekick, I’m your guy! I’d do well in a home where I can be the star of the show and get all of the attention and love. I’d also be happy with another pooch who will be patient with me. Being at home, I can get around on carpeted surfaces with traction and lifting myself up. I am quite mobile, so you don’t need to worry! So what do you say? Adopt MARVELous Loki today! You can also check me out @beachfrontmuttrescue My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Story
Love, cuddles and portion-controlled treats, and she will be yours! Hi there! I’m Noura, a 5-year-old Lab mix weighing in at 118 lbs. I’m potty trained and crate trained, but I’ll admit, I could use a little more training with the leash on. I can be reactive to dogs and cats. I have a past that wasn’t so easy, and I was rescued from the SEACCA shelter in San Bernardino, CA, where I was on euth list. But now, I’m living a much better life thanks to TAP! I have been spayed, just need a followup on my healing. I may be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I warm up and become a big cuddle bug. I love lounging around, cuddling, and just being your sweet, curious companion. I’m a bit overweight right now, so I need my food portions and treats to be closely monitored until I reach a healthier weight. But don’t worry—I’m totally worth the effort! I enjoy things like walking, running, and working on puzzle toys to get my treats. I’m also a big fan of car rides! I’m a loving girl who deserves a home full of affection and cuddles. I might need some extra attention and patience to continue improving, but I promise I’ll give you all the love in return. I’d do well in a home with no other dogs or cats, and I’m fine being left alone. Whether your home is mellow or active, I’ll be happy as long as I get to be with you. I just want a life full of love, treats, and snuggles! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Story
CeCe is a beautiful 3-year, 8-month-old pup with a big heart and an even bigger brain! She's incredibly smart, curious, and playful, making her a joy to be around. At about 70 pounds, CeCe is a healthy girl - spayed, up to date on her shots, and recently had a clean bill of health from the vet. Her DNA shows a mix of Golden Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier, German Shepherd, Pit Bull, and Bulldog. CeCe has been a beloved part of our family since we adopted her three years ago, but due to allergies, we sadly need to find her a new home. CeCe bonded strongly with dad - when he's around, she's a loving family dog; when he's not, she prefers quiet time. We believe she'd thrive with a single man who can give her attention. While we think she'd do well with other dogs, she hasn't had much exposure to them. If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent, and sweet companion who will adore you, CeCe could be the perfect match!

Story
Meet Jimmy! This sweet boy was found running the streets of TJ with his mom looking for food and shelter. Jimmy is very sweet but shy. Jimmy is around 10 months old and weighs around 45 lbs. He is still learning his new environment and sounds. He is leash, crate, and house trained. He loves romping around in a yard and going on new adventures such as to the dog beach! He easily makes friends with new canine companions. He’ll sleep in his crate at night after he gets all his playful energy out! He is still a bit skeptical of the outside world, while treats are a great motivator. Jimmy is looking for a calm and patient family that will allow him to continue to gain confidence. Jimmy is friendly with kids, dogs, and even coexists with cats. Could Jimmy be the pup for you?
