Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Friendly, Affectionate, Loyal, Gentle, Playful, SmartMy name is Guerra and I hope to quickly become the best part of your life. I am a female yellow lab mix with a lovely coat and an even better disposition. I'm 2.5 years old and weigh about 30lbs, the perfect medium sized dog for your home. I was found by some very kind people at a local landfill, nursing two different litters of puppies. They have since gone north to get adopted, and now I'm waiting for my chance too. Although I had a rough start in life, I am the sweetest girl and have such a zest for living. I am currently residing in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, but my foster family can arrange a video meet and greet, and I can be transported to pretty much anywhere on the West Coast to be your dog. I will come to you fully vaccinated, sterilized and healthy. I'm a really special girl ready for her forever home. Wouldn't you like to meet and see if we are a match? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet, gentle female lab mix puppy.Meet Bonnie, a plump, roly poly lab mix puppy who was rescued along with her littermates after being found in the desert with their mama in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Bonnie is a calm and friendly pup, and loves interacting with her humans. She is the largest of her litter and loves to be picked up and held and snuggled. Bonnie was rescued when she was just a few weeks old, and grew up in a foster home with good vet care, food, and lots of love and attention. Her mama is a small/medium sized  beagle/terrier mix around 30 lbs, and we think there is some Lab/Shar Pei in this litter from the dad's side. Story
This beautiful dog has not had an easy start and needs lots of love and patience to help hertake those last steps to being with a forever family. Apple and her 8 puppies were found at a construction site in TJ where the workers would feed them. They were in a dangerous area just 20 feet from a 4 lane freeway where several dogs had been hit by cars. She would go miles to find food for herself and her pups. She is a happy dog who loves to play with her other doggy friends. ##1355714##

Story
Trolley has undergone an amazing transformation over the last several months.  He came to us after spending several months living in a bush feet off an active trolley track.  He was likely struck at one point based on his face and head scars.  He would run from people, was often seen crossing the tracks from one bush to another and had grabbed the heart of the neighborhood where he roamed.  When we responded to the plea for help our first order of business was putting a halt to the leftover meals and home made dinners everyone would bring over to put in his bush for him when he was gone to find when he returned.  Once humanely trapped it was clear he bore not just physical scars but trauma emotionally.  He would stare at you wide eyed and tense at any attempt to interact.  He was guarded but never showed a sign of aggression.  After several weeks of very slow progress and concerns for his rehab we made a choice to flood him with activity by watching us with other dogs.  The change was almost instantaneous.  He watched the dogs and immediately his behavior changed.  He started to grab toys and in fact to this day has to grab his "baby" when he greets you.  He began to embrace and invite touch so his journey began.    His fear of the world, noise, stimulation and people was intense.  We were not sure he'd ever leave our care.  Regardless, we pushed and balanced his fear with building confidence.  He started to enjoy his walks on property rather than end them in panic.  He now requires careful handling because he's huge and thinks walks are all about zoomies so training has replaced rehab. (that is a good thing)  He would attend intial events quaking behind the table buried in the other dogs just wanting his favorite person to soothe him.  He now rushes forward to greet kids, takes treats and rolls over for belly rubs.  His pack walks used to consist of controlled panic and now start with a body shake off the van and tail wag when he gets back.  It's finally time for him to fly the coop.  His transition will be tough and require someone to be patient while he adjusts.  We are hear to help and visiits to start would be best until he feels safe.  He is great with dogs but underestimates his size and power in play so should not be left with other dogs unsupervised but would do best with another confident dog in the home.  He is big and strong, will always be prone to unexpected panic so requires a strong handler.  His heart is HUGE and when he lets you in you'll drown in it.   Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  NO offleash activities in unfenced areas for life. This litter was found in Baja California by an American lawyer who lives in the area. The mother pup was pregnant and living on the streets. They gave her a safe location to deliver her pups and then relinquished the litter of 2 girls and 4 boys to our rescue. ##1607935##

Story
You would never know Obie started his journey as an exremely scared street stray.  He took months to warm up and accept touch.  However, when he flipped he rolled.  He is a gregarious guy, never meeting a stranger.  He loves people and despite over a year at the facility could not be happier.  We were crushed when after only 24 hours his first forever home returned him because he would be alone during work hours.  Did they know he'd been alone most of his life and gets less than they can give as one of several with a rescue?  He is happy but we are devastated to see this incredibly sweet and special guy still living out his days in between a crate and yard time, not in his own home. Obie doesn’t ask for much at all, just a nice spot in the sun and his person to lean on. If you are lucky enough to be chosen by Obie, you will feel the love! This distinguished man is amazing with all people and great with kids. His favorite way to show affection is by getting as close as he can and leaning in! So, if you’re looking for a medium-size,  50 lb “thinks he’s a lap dog” type of snuggler, Obie’s your man! Obie’s only six years old, but don't let his frosty face fool you, he is SPRY and ready for ANY and all adventures you want to take him on. His calm demeanor and gentle spirit make him a fit for any home. He’s not fancy guy, but strikingly handsome looks make everyone stop and give him a quick hug at every event he attends. He needs little to no grooming due to his short coat. Obie is a serious foodie and perks up at the first crinkle of the treat bag. He's so intiligent that he realized that when we are at an event next to Totful Treat, he will sit infront of their table, prim and proper, waiting for someone to pet him. Then he slowly looks over his shoulder at the sample treats hoping his newest "victim" will feed him one. He’s actually so excited about his meals that he needs to eat from a puzzle bowl to slow him down. Obie is leash trained, gets along with most other dogs and LOVES to sit on any and all chairs. Obie is just one of those dogs who really knows how to make a person feel special. Meet him and you’ll see. He’s currently accepting applications for his new lucky family members Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  NO offleash activities in unfenced areas for life. Story
Macy is 10 years old and I bought her from a breeder when she was 5 weeks. She's a loving animal but my recent divorce has landed me in an apartment and her losing her backyard and her family. I work long hours and it's not fair for her to be locked up in an apartment all day long, she deserves better than what I can provide for her. Macy is great at dog parks and the ocean and she loves looooong walks. That hound in her keeps her nose working while walking and she could care less about other animals which is great at times. She responds to sit, come, lay down and leave it and my whistle sound.

Story
Summer is an affectionate Golden Retriever who is as sweet as they come, melting hearts with his gentle nature and loving personality. With a wagging tail and a heart full of love, Summer is perfect for families with young children (we have three), as he adores their playful energy and is always ready for cuddles and companionship. Not only does Summer get along famously with kids, but he's also a friend to felines (we have two cats), showing his adaptable and sociable nature. His manners are impeccable – never a bark or a bite, just pure love and joy in every interaction. Every time the doorbell rings, Summer eagerly races to greet guests, welcoming them with open paws and an irresistible urge for belly rubs. His devotion to people is unmatched, making him the sweetest dog you'll ever meet.
