Meet Baxter 🐾 Baxter is a sweet, affectionate boy who takes his job as a professional snuggler very seriously! Give him some attention and he’ll happily soak it all up. And if you stop petting him before he’s ready, don’t be surprised if he gently paws at you to let you know he’s not finished yet. ❤️ Baxter loves being outside, enjoying tasty treats, and having a good chew toy nearby. He’s also a great little travel buddy who rides nicely in the car and walks well on a leash. Baxter enjoys the company of other dogs, but he’s just as happy hanging out with his people. He would do best in a home with another friendly dog to keep him company and help him feel comfortable. When meeting new people, Baxter can be a little timid at first, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up. Once he does, his affectionate personality really shines! Baxter is crate-trained and stays comfortably crated when his people are away. He’s a loving, easygoing companion who would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal cuddle buddy. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. This is Oakley, not only is he a very handsome boy, but he is super sweet and very good natured…more on the easy going submissive side. He seems to love everyone that he meets, and he really enjoys any attention that they wish to lavish him with. Still being a youngster, he has a lot of puppy play in him but he is not hyper, making him all that much fun to be around. He is used to being around quite a few dogs and he came with three siblings, so he gets along well with other dogs and he always has a big time playing with them in the play yard. My wish for Oakley is to be adopted by a fun and active family that will include him in their everyday comings and goings. Oakley’s Mom is a black Labradoodle but Dad was a traveling man. Oakley is 6 ½ months old (dob 2/22/26) and weighs 48 pounds. He has been neutered, microchipped, 4DX heartworm, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. His adoption fee is $400. Oakley is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area most weeks and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
